random asian-ness!

i really like that dark mustard yellow color. i've been trying to experiment with different types of self-photos and be more creative with taking pictures of myself. haha. but i can't say i've been very successful. just lazy, like in the picture above. i went to the goodwill superstore today with tommy after school, and they have so many polaroid cameras! it'd be so fun to have one, but buying film for it is probalby expensive. i haven't really looked in on it, so i wouldn't really know. but i have one of those old polaroid cameras that were popular back when i was in elementary, and i remember that the film for those were pretty expensive. it was those polaroid that printed out super small sticky polaroid pictures. gaah, i forget what kind of camera its called now. the only name i can think of is "iphone." how lame! but on another note, i find it so exciting when people tell me they read this blog! i don't know why. it's just that i never really expect anyone to read this, so when people tell me they do, it's kinda mind-blowing....

asian people are so weird. i swear! korean plastic surgeons have actually created the "ideal young korean male."ahahahaha. when i saw the picture of him, i thought... "hmm.. song seung hun, kwong sang woo, lee wan?!?" and that's about it. but really, if you stare at him long enough, and you know what the guys who he's created out of looks like, you can really start to see them in him. it's freeeeaky

The Ideal Young Korean Male -- Revealed A plastic surgeon has published a composite image of the ideal male Korean face. Rhee Seung-chul, the head of plastic surgery at Hanil General Hospital, made the image from the faces of 16 Korean Wave stars. Rhee had earlier done the same thing for women by making a composite image of 19 female stars. The ideal Korean male consists of bits and pieces from Kang Dong-won, Kwon Sang-woo, Kim Rae-won, Mun Jeong-hyeok, Bae Yong-joon, Jung Ji-hoon, Song Il-gook, Won Bin, Lee Wan, Jang Dong-gun, Jae Hee, Cho In-sung, Jo Hyun-jae, Ji Seong, Ji Jin-hee, and Hyun Bin? all of them popular not only in Korea but in China and Japan as well. He analyzed their faces with a computer program called BAPA, for “balanced angular and proportional analysis.” The result is a slim face with chiseled cheekbones and a clear chin, big eyes, a long nose and long, thin upper lip. "According to the beauty theory that says the average of all the most preferred faces is the most beautiful, I made the new-generation handsome face by using the faces of stars that young Internet users like most,” Rhee said. ahh, yeah. so i was kinda right. except song seung hun is not listed, which is funny, because that guy up there actually looks almost exactly like song seung hun. but i must be really out of that korean scene i was into a while ago, because i don't even know who half of those guys listed up there are! wow, i only know who seven of them are. and yeah. joo ji hoon is pretty amazing looking. oh wait, that's not even joo ji hoon! it's jung ji hoon. haha. oh, well i know who he is anyways, so i still only know seven guys listed. okay, whatever. a rant about nothing... i wonder what america's ideal young male or female would be. the female would probably be a paris hilton, lindsay lohan, nicole richie, marykate and ashley mix. whoopee.

anyways, today i came across this picture i photoshopped with once, like a million years ago, and actually recognized it! it was on a myspace. and right then i kinda missed photoshopping. funnily enough, as i was browsing through 's beauty & fashion section, i came across this tutorial on how to acheive the "ullzzang" look. wow. woow. they said there was no photoshop used... but i think that might be a lie..

INDULDGE YOURSELVES!
(before and after) "pshyeaaaaah right..." right?
You'll need the folowing(i'm just translating this straight from the original post..the person was not very specific with which exact shade of color she used):
  • MAC's eyeshadow
  • liquid foundation and face powder
  • Anna Sui's Liquid eyeliner
  • L'Oreal's mascara
  • Lip gloss
  • Fake eyelashes
  • double eyelid glue
  • PS (the author said she didn't use any PS skills on her pix..but she must had done sth to make her chin look so pointy..or maybe it was just the lighting~)
    Here's How:

    1. Circle Lens + double eyelid glue

    2. apply the toner

    3. apply the liquid foundation

    4. glue on the fake eyelashes along and apply the mascara along with the fake eyelashes

    5. You do not need to draw your upper eyelid with an eyeliner because you already have the fake eyelashes on. So you'll only need to draw the lower eyelide with a black eyeliner.

    6. Now you need to apply the eyeshadow.

    a) brighten up the entire eyelid (between the eyebrow and the eyelashes line) using the white shadow.

    B) now apply the black shadow as seen in the pic.

    c) put on some lip gloss~

    AND TATA~ YOU'RE NOW AN ULZZANG~ :P
i think it's kinda amazing...but scary! how will her boyfriend feel once she takes off all that makeup at the end of the day! eyelashes do a lot... but i'll try it this summer anyways. i think it;s interesting and i want to try it out. girls on the thread were actually saying that this gave them hope. haha.
