Hitting the Road ....

I’m leaving for Omaha, NE sometime Wednesday morning and will be there until Sunday. So, I’ll be off the grid for the next few days. And by “off the grid” I mean I won’t be blogging and probably won’t have time to keep up with everyone’s blogs. Don’t take it personally if I don’t make it by. I will be on Twitter and Facebook from time to time. But, only for the occasional update and to see what’s going on.

Regular posting here will resume with next week’s WWC and continue from there at irregular intervals until the end of time. Or the next time I go out of town. Whichever comes first.

Julie Roberts is on Letterman. She’s kinda stupid. I don’t know why, but I’ve just never liked her much.

So I just saw a headline that AIG will “reimburse” taxpayers for the money it paid out in bonuses. Okay? Happy now? Can we shut down the Fake Outrage Machine for a while? I’m not nearly as pissed off at AIG as I am the bullshit politicians and media types who are so full of shit. They don’t give a fuck about those bonuses, they’re just engaging in a little cheap populism.

Just like they did over the earmarks in the appropriations bill last week. What a fucking fraudulent debate that was. Fucking hypocrites.

The NCAA men’s basketball tournament opens on Thursday. I sat down tonight to fill out my brackets and suddenly realized that I have only seen a handful of these teams play at all this season, and even then I didn’t watch the whole game. So how the hell am I supposed to pick winners in the tournament? I guess I could make my picks based on which mascot is the fiercest or which team’s colors are cutest. You know, like the girls do. But, I think I’ll just pass. I am picking North Carolina to win it all, and do think that people should look out for Missouri. But, my thinking is kind of vague on that.

Hey cool! Julia Louis-Dreyfus is on Craig Ferguson! I love her.

Speaking of late night shows, I think the critics were a bit harsh on Jimmy Fallon. I expected him to suck too, but his show hasn’t been all that bad at all. Of course, it’s helped that he’s had some really good guests on so far. I should check and see who he has on tonight.

Bill Paxon and Kim, Kloe and Kourtney Kardashian. Oh well. Looks like Jimmy ran out of good guests. It wasn’t likely he was going to have anyone who could compete with Julia anyway.

Normally I would insert a picture of Julia Louis-Dreyfus here. But I’m just too lazy to do so today. You’ll have to do your own GIS. Just this once.

Back to the NCAA’s. I don’t think I’ll be watching a single game in the first two rounds of the tournament this year. I can’t remember a time ever in my life that that has happened. I used to be a really big college basketball fan, but now I really don’t much give a shit.

Well there really isn’t that much more on my mind tonight. Not anything that I want to bore you with anyway. I think I’m going to do a little packing and watch Julia on Craig Ferguson and then call it a night. After I check my email, Facebook and Twitter of course. Gotta feed my addictions ya know.

So have a great week everyone. Stay out of trouble.
