Trojan horse MPs who helped bring down government break cover, they were working for Ganley and Libertas. The Czech people should ask Vlastimil Tlustý and Jan Schwippel what their price tag was.
Libertas Nein Danke asks is their working for an irish millionaire an act of treason?
Prague - Two Czech MPs that helped the Social Democrats topple Topolánek's government are likely to join the recently newly formed right-wing party Libertas.cz. They also intend to run in the European Parliament election.
One of them, Vlastimil Tlustý, told Aktuálně.cz that together with his fellow party member Jan Schwippel they will announce their plan to join Libertas at a press conference to be held on Thursday.
Schwippel has not confirmed the information yet, as he is not available at the moment.
Czech branch Libertas was registered in the Czech Republic by member of the European Parliament (MEP) Vladimír Železný and it relates to the one founded by Irish eurosceptic Declan Ganley.
The future of the membership of Tlustý and Schwippel in Civic Democrats (ODS) has been somewhat unclear since the moment they both voted in the no-confidence vote against the coalition government. Both of them have been critical of Mirek Topolánek's ODS leadership.
The ODS executive board has called on the regional offices to expel the two defectors.
Tlustý first refused to do so but now issued an official announcement about suspension of his ODS membership. Schwippel´s party membership is to be on the agenda of Beroun ODS unit's meeting Tuesday. http://aktualne.centrum.cz/czechnews/clanek.phtml?id=633491
