Stop! Thief! ...

I don’t know how many of you guys ever watch Andy Rooney, or even “60 Minutes” on CBS, but did you happen to see him this last week? I don’t really watch “60 Minutes” and I don’t really like Andy Rooney, but I did watch this last week. Mostly I watched because they were doing a segment on Louisiana Gov Bobby Jindal, and I wanted to see him in a different setting from that “response” he gave after Obama’s “non” State of the Union Address.

I thought it was interesting that Jindal went back to being the thoughtful, intelligent person on “60 Mins” that I remember seeing at other times. I don’t really know why he seemed like such an amateur during his “response” speech, but he did. Okay, I have a few theories, but I won’t actually get into that today.

Today I want to talk about Andy Rooney. Mostly I want to talk about Andy Rooney stealing my shtick. It’s not just that he was rambling about absolutely nothing, or that he was boring as hell that reminded me of my blog, it was the sudden, and seemingly needless, appearance of this on my TV while Andy was talking the different seasons …


WTF Andy? After all these years you have to steal ideas from me? I think I deserve some kind of credit dude. Or royalties. I’d settle for on air credit as a creative consultant.

I’m pretty sure that Eliza Dushku would totally agree with me that I’m being ripped off here.



Speaking of which … Am I the only one who is a little under whelmed by “Dollhouse” so far? I hate to invite the wrath of Joss Whedon fans, but I actually just turned the show off about half-way through last Friday’s episode. It was just sooooo boring. Even Eliza was boring me. In fact, and I really hate to admit this, but she might have been the reason I turned the show off.



See how I skillfully worked that pic of Dushku and her luscious legs in there without it really relating to my post at all? And then I threw out that question about the possibility of “Dollhouse” sucking, just to make it look like I was going somewhere with all this? That’s freaking talent right there people.

Talent that Andy Rooney doesn’t really have, but is clearly trying to develop. I wish him all the best, but dude, you gotta give credit when you swipe ideas like “Throw in a pic of a couple of scantily clad hotties in for no reason” from someone else. Especially when it’s what made the person you swiped it from a bloggging legend. Seriously dude. That’s just wrong.*

Oh but I was serious about “Dollhouse” kinda sucking. Anyone else agree?








*It’s a pretty well established fact that Mr. Rooney has no fucking sense of humor whatsoever. So, in the event that he or some ass kissing dweeb who works for him happens upon this blog, you should know that it is satire.
