You might have noticed that The New York Rockers beat the Bronx Bombers by the slimmest margin possible of only .05 points. This happened after Eli Manning threw an interception at the very end of the game giving the Rockers the win.
Needless to say this very fishy ending has set off red flags at the US Attorney’s Office in Manhattan. There are all kinds of rumors of Mob involvement in this game. There might even be a Congressional investigation.
Yes, there is a consolation bracket also and here are the results from the first round …

On a serious note …
So Auburn University had an opening for the position of Head Football Coach. And there were two finalists for the job …
Candidate A took over the program at Iowa St. and, much to everyone’s surprise found a way to make that team even worse. His major accomplishment was to actually go WINLESS in the Big 12 this past season and LOSE his final 10 games of the season.
Candidate B took over one of the worst programs in America at the University of Buffalo and has turned that program into MAC Conference Champions after beating previously undefeated Ball State in the MAC Conference Championship game. He is also widely considered to be one of the best mentors of young men among all the collage coaches.
So, which coach did Auburn hire as their new head coach?
Hint: Candidate B, Turner Gill is black and has a white wife.
Uh, yeah, Auburn hired Gene Chizik who they said they were “more comfortable with” and “was a better ‘fit’.”
If things like “more comfortable” and “a better fit” don’t sound like code words for “he was white and has a white wife” then I don’t know what does. You sure as hell can’t claim that Chizik has the better resume.
What’s even better is that there is NOBODY defending Auburn on this. Even the Auburn fans are pissed as hell over this. It wasn’t that the people of Alabama wouldn’t accept a black coach who has a white wife. It was that the Board of Trustees at Auburn University, a group of old white men in blue suits, wouldn’t accept a black coach who has a white wife.
It’s bad enough to bring in minority coaches to interview and just go through the motions and then hire a white guy. Schools do that all the time. But, it’s quite another to bring in a truly gifted coach and great person like Turner Gill and parade him around town and then suddenly meet his wife and see that they are an interracial couple and then humiliate him by hiring this Chizik chump.
Auburn University should be ashamed of itself after this.

BTW, you're free to disagree with me about Auburn, but if you do you MUST tell me how Chizik was deserving of that job. I don't think anyone can.
