Vote MItt Romney: He's Your Multiple Choice ...

Today may well have been the best episode of the highly rated and award winning “I'm With Stupid.” We talked about Rick Santorum, Sarah Palin and Matt-Man and I gave everyone a nice little history lesson about D-Day, Sarah Palin style, of course.

AND we had an exclusive interview w/ failed 2012 presidential candidate Mitt Romney!

Oh and at some point someone might have yelled out “WHO'S YOUR UNCLE SAM!” while talking about an imagined sexual encounter with Michelle Bachmann.

It was a great time had by all, so give it a listen if you get the chance. Our fragile egos need the show to continue to get high ratings because it's all we've got, you know.

And as a reward for listening here's Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake groping each other while all of America looked on in a jealous rage..

Monday on “I’m With Stupid” Matt-Man and I discussed some of the issues of the day including Sarah Palin’s fake presidential run and how we would both love to be the meat in middle of a Sarah Palin - Michele Bachmann Crazy Sandwich. And speaking of “meat” we had to bring up the Rep. Anthony Weiner incident.  Did he send a pic of his “little congressman” to a female follower on Twitter? This of course set off about 10 minutes of dick jokes. And it was classic!

After that we discussed the tragedy that is Jim Tressel’s resignation from THE Ohio State University and all kind of other jocularity and hijinks.  So, give it a listen, if you can. Remember, our entire self-worth is tied to our show’s ratings. Which have been REALLY good the last few weeks. And we appreciate our listeners very much!!

And, as a way of thanking you for listening, here’s Rep. Anthony Weiner’s alleged wiener:

A Memorial Day Cookout

On Saturday Matt-Man and I had a great Memorial Day cookout on “I'm With Stupid” and we served up jocularity and fun times for members of the whole family. We gave a heartfelt shout out to the men and women serving this great country and especially those who sacrificed all.

Then, we played a very moving address from Michele Bachmann. And I tell you what folks, not only is she a great speaker, she has an amazing grasp on American history.

After that, we gave some great grilling tips and talked Memorial Day traditions and all kinds of other fun summer activities. So, give it a listen and we'll cheer up your day. Kinda. A little.

And to thank you for listening here's some Memorial Day sexiness for all:

How 'Bout Some More Hey-OOOOOO's ...

Well kids, it's that time again! Time for some more monologue jokes which are more like Weekend Update on SNL type jokes. Or they seem so to me. BTW, did you guys watch Zach Gagalifanakis hosting SNL last week? Oh man, what a freaking snoozer that show was. I mean yeah, SNL has sucked for years, but good grief. That was the worst ever. Miley's hosting a week earlier was wayyyyyyyy better. Not even close.

Anyway, here is this week's installment of monologue jokes. As usual, the player won't show up in Google Reader, but there will be a player that does show up at the bottom of the post.

Hey-OOOOOOOOOOO!

And, for the audio impaired I will, as usual, type them out for you cause I'm a great guy like that.

1. Daylight Saving Time began this weekend which means that people in most parts of the US turned their clocks ahead one hour. Unless you're a republican in congress. In that case you already turned your clocks back 50 years.

2. Bob Dylan will be allowed to play concerts in China despite some worries that the Chinese govt wouldn't let him because of his anti-establishment songs. A spokesperson for the Chinese govt said “Nobody can understand a word he says anyway, so whatever.”

3. Japanese govt confirmed that one of their nuclear reactors experienced a meltdown over the weekend. The reactor in question this the Charlie Sheen 1 reactor.

4. I had a pizza joke I was going to do, but it's just too cheesy.

5. The White House forced State Department spokesperson P.J. Crowley to resign after he heavily criticized the government's treatment of Bradley Manning. President Obama said that there just isn't any place in government for someone THAT honest.

6. Charlie Sheen says that he has a “Tweet Master” who checks all of his tweets before they're posted. This is probably a good idea because otherwise people might start thinking that Sheen is crazy.

7. Mel Gibson was charged with misdemeanor battery last week. Gibson says that while disappointed, there are both positive and negative sides to this.

8. A study in Arizona found that 72% of shopping carts tested positive for fecal matter. A spokesman for Taco Bell angrily denied any responsibility and went on to say that the study was full of crap.

9. And finally, Sarah Palin said last week that the unions in Wisconsin needed to “tone down their violent rhetoric.” She then warned that if they don't, she'll have to target them and tell her followers to “take them out.”

So there ya go. Another week of non-stop hilarity!

Drive carefully everyone. Remember to tip your waitress.

Odd Future's Insane 'Fallon' Performance

Last night, the L.A. rap crew Odd Future made their television debut on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon", and pretty much proved in an instant why people can't shut up about them. With the Roots backing them up, Tyler, the Creator and Hodgy Beats delivered an absolutely insane performance of "Sandwitches" (from their MellowHype project's BlackenedWhite album) that we could happily write 2,000 words

All The Help You Need...

That's right bitches! Five straight days of blogging! And ACTUAL blog posts too. Not just pimping the show. I mean, I did pimp the show yesterday, but that's because the show WAS yesterday. But, along with the pimping was a tale about a sweet dream I had about the amazing Knight. So, entertainment was had.

Of course today it's about the radio show. Did you listen last night? What? It's an outrage! Well, here. Let me make it easier for you to listen. Not only can you listen on the show's main page RIGHT HERE. But, you can also listen using this player:
Listen to internet radio with Im With Stupid on Blog Talk Radio

OR … You can go to our Podbean page and find ALL of our shows there and listen WITHOUT THE AD THAT BTR RUNS! Oh yeah! That's right people. Because I am ALWAYS thinking about way to make YOUR listening experience better, I got us hooked up with Podbean where you can listen AD FREE.

We also have a Blog Page on Podbean RIGHT HERE. But, as of right now, the only thing that will be posted there are show highlights. Which is totally cool if you want to listen to those too. But they're mostly meant to try to draw people into listen to the show. Well, actually I'll probably upload the show to that site too, but it will be a few days after the show runs since we don't get credit for any plays through that blog on our BTR stats. But, we do get credit for anything that is played through out other Podbean page linked to above.

Of course, if wanted to, you could always put the shows RSS Feed into your Google Reader:

Then, when a new show is scheduled it'll show up. And when the show is done you will be able to listen in their player WITHOUT ADS AGAIN! Fuck YEAH!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND! Guess what else I've done. Oh yeah. I've submitted our show to iTunes and once approved (hopefully next week) you will be able to subscribe to the show on iTunes and automatically download that baby straight to your iPhone or iPad or whatever the hell you use.

Good LORD am I helpful or WHAT?

What's that? “More like desperate?”

That hurts.

Anyhoodle, beginning next week, in accordance whit BTR's new bullshit rules, “I'm With Stupid” will be going to 30 minutes. Our first thirty minute show will be a Super Bowl Party where we'll preview the game AND preview the food and refreshments that we recommend at a party of this magnitude. You won't wanna miss this one people!

But, until then? You can totally take advantage of all the ways in which you can listen to “I'm With Stupid.” And, you can listen over and over and over again. Just for the fun of it.

Also, here's Keith Olberman's first correspondence piece for us from last night

Oops .. That was the outtake. Here's his piece...

Holding God Accountable ....

So, this last Sunday, Buffalo Bills receiver Stevie Johnson dropped what would have been a game-winning catch in the end zone in overtime against the Steelers. After the game, Johnson got on Twitter and placed the blame for that drop where it belongs...
Photobucket

That's right. He blamed God. For his dropping a pass. But not for this haircut??
Photobucket

Now, I have to admit that at first I was really ripping this dude. I was all prepared to let him have it. You know, all the obvious stuff like “God gave you all this great talent and speed and the opportunity to play in the NFL and you blame HIM for dropping that pass? You know, at some point God does expect you to do your part too dude.”

But, after I thought about it for a while, I kind of changed my mind. I'm actually glad Stevie did this. We see athletes giving full credit to God all the time. After catching touchdown passes or hitting home runs or whatever, players point to the sky or make the “X” symbol or whatever. After the games they not only thank God, but arrogantly claim that God wanted their team to win and shit like that.

It's only fair that when something bad happens that they blame God too. Surely, God isn't above accepting the blame for a dropped pass? I mean, if he's gonna sit back and take full credit for everything good that happens, he should accept responsibility for bad things too. He can't be like Houston Nutt and when he wins run in front of the cameras and pat himself on the back and then when he loses, fire assistants and blame the players.

So, I say Good For You Stevie! It's about damn time someone stood up to God and made him take responsibility too.

And no, I'm not just writing this because of the grudge I still hold against God for taking out a restraining order against me. I just honestly believe that he's been let off the hook too many times when things are clearly his fault. Kinda like Brett Favre.

–

In other Twitter news. Sarah Palin was Tweeting about her reality show when I decided to point out to her why I don't ReTweet her pimping her show...
Photobucket

I guess I told her, huh? She thinks we should all be helping to promote her show, but promoting my show, “I'm With Stupid” is beneath her? I don't think so sweetheart.

–

And finally, I was taking a picture of my hot chocolate mix using the flash and check this out. The handle (I guess) made a little heart shaped shadow on the mix in the mug. Isn't that cute!!

I Need Sarah Palin's Help!

Hola Sarah!

How ya doing?  Look, I know you're busy so I'll try to keep this short.  And simple because, well we all know why.  Anyway, I've been watching the great work you're doing on behalf of good, decent white Christian Americans with those Muslims wanting to build a mosque right in the middle of Ground Zero and I thought maybe you could help me with my problem too.

See, some Mormons have moved into the building next door to mine and that's just a little too close for comfort.  Now, I know you probably don't see the problem because you've never read a history book or anything.  So, let me explain very quickly and succinctly ..

What's that? Oh .. "Succinctly" means "briefly." Sorry about that.

In 1857 a wagon train of honest, decent, hard-working white Christian Americans left from my hometown of Redneckville, Arkansas for California.  They made it to an area known as Mountain Meadows where they were attacked and murdered in cold blood by people who were members of the Mormon Cult Church.  This attack was completely without provocation (that means the white Christians didn't do anything to cause the attack) and can only be described as an act of terrorism.

IKNOWRITE!!!???!!!

So, you can see why I'm so upset that some Mormons would move in next door.  I mean, the gall of these people?  How insensitive can they be?  This is like a dagger to the heart of us Christian residents of Redneckville.  These Murderous Mormons (which would be a great name for a rock band) just move in here and try to act as if they're upstanding members of the community and shit.  They're always calling me "sir" and being nice and helpful and whatever.  But, I know the truth.  I know what they're capable of.

Look, I understand that Mormons live here in America and there's nothing we can do about it.  But they don't have to live right here in this town after what they did back in 1857.  I would be perfectly fine with them living out in Alpena, or over in Western Grove.  Probably not up in Diamond City cause you know Christians love to go the lake and camp and cook meat that they killed themselves on their grills and go fishing up there.  But anywhere to the west or east of town would be acceptable.

And, this totally isn't a race thing.  I mean, those Mormons are WHITE!  They are so damn white.  Hell, the Amish are like "Damn, those Mormons are white!"  But, I'm totally not comparing the Amish to the Mormons.  The only terrorism the Amish engage in is the IRSBs their horses leave.  What? Oh sorry.  That means "Improvised Roadside Shit Bombs."  But, the Amish make some really nice furniture and their bakeries are full of all kinds of yumminess, so they totally make up for the horseshit on the side of the roads.

Anyway, as I was saying.  I was hoping you could help me with this Mormon problem.  I'm very VERY upset about it.

You're my only hope Sarah!

Yours in Christ,
Jayman

Why I Admire Girls Who Admire Sarah Palin

Check out this video of a girl during the question and answer session of a beauty pageant. The question that was asked was something like, "Who do you admire most?"

The last part of her answer is difficult to understand, but it includes, ".....to combat this liberal government."

I hope she won!!!

Let's Have A Tea Party ....

So, as you probably know over the weekend 600 white people gathered for the National Tea Party Convention thingy held in Nashville, Tennessee.  I know that a lot of you didn't have the $549 entry fee for this shindig, so you weren't able to attend.  But, never fear, I'm here to help you.  Here is a list of the seminars you missed out on by not being able to contribute to Sarah Palin's $100,000 speaking fee.

Barack Obama: Hitler, Stalin or Mussolini?  Or, a little bit of all three?

How Christians, who make up 80% of the population and more than 95% of the government, can claim to be "oppressed."

How to spot a secret Muslim Socialist

How white people are being kept down by the black power structure.

Why republican earmarks are good and democratic earmarks are bad.

Obama's Marxism:  Latin American or old world East European based?

Tim Tebow: The NFL's great white hope

How eliminating all taxes on the wealthy is in poor people's best interests.

Why gay people are so icky

In defense of traditional marriage:  A discussion led By Rush Limbaugh and Rudy Giuliani  and their combined SIX ex-wives.

Celebrities and athletes should shut up and stay out of politics: Led by Jon Voight, Victoria Jackson, Pat Boone, Curt Shilling, Kelsey Grammar and Clint Eastwood.

Taking a wide stance on gay marriage:  Led by Larry Craig

The Jew Menace:  Led by Mel Gibson

How Harry Potter is turning our kids into Satan worshipers

Banning Books: We're doing it for the children.

Is Gratuitous Violence on TV Bad? Answer: It depends on who is getting blown up.

Keeping them mexeecans outta OUR Country

Doing something about those disgusting drug abusers:  Led By Rush Limbaugh

Keeping our discourse respectful:  Led by Ann Coulter

The convention opened with Tom Tancredo calling for going back to the good old days of literacy test for voters.  I don’t think Tom really thought this all the way through.  I’m afraid many of the Tea Party people would be the ones failing the test…

Yeah, I’m thinking the biggest threat to her daughter’s future is her mother’s lack of commitment to education.
Photobucket

Okay, so this person is opposed to “Amensty,” but we still don’t know how they feel about “Amnesty.”
Photobucket

Those rights you’re “useing?”  Other people have them too.
Photobucket

Liberals would be insulted, but apparently you are talking about someone else called “Liberials”
Photobucket

And finally, the ultimate functional illiterate.  The person who reads off note cards while calling President Obama “that teleprompter guy,” Sarah Palin.  Here she is reading notes written on her hand to answer a question that was probably pre-screened…

The only thing I have to say to these people is…

2009 - A Year In Review

This is way late, but like Martin O'Malley, I think we should just keep moving forward.

January

Chesley Sullenburger successfully lands a Charlotte-bound United Airlines Airbus A320 in the Hudson River after a double bird-strike over New York City. No passengers were injured and Sully is hailed as a hero. No word from United Airlines if the Hudson River will be a permanent layover stop for North Carolina-bound flights.

Americans saw the 43rd different man who was raised by a white woman to be sworn in as President of the United States. Obama quickly stated, "remember all those promises I made? Psych!!!"

Baltimore Mayor Sheila Dixon is indicted on 12 counts including perjury, theft, and misconduct. She ducks the critics and gives the O'Malley-esque ambiguous rhetoric that she needs to keep the city moving forward. Meanwhile, hundreds of poor children go without the toys as Mayor Dixon buys thousands of dollars worth of bling for herself.

Nadya Suleman, an only-child better known as the Octomom, gives birth to 316 babies at one time. She already has 75 children and hopes to have more. Her goal is to house an entire elementary school in her vagina.

February

The hated Pittsburgh Steelers won the 43rd Super Bowl defeating the Arizona Cardinals 27-23. Fortunately for viewers, half-time performer Bruce Springsteen did not have any wardrobe malfunctions.

Former Congressman Tom Daschle withdrawals his name for Secretary of Health and Human Services after it is revealed that he doesn't like to pay taxes. However, Timothy Geithner, who also didn't pay his taxes, is nominated and confirmed as Secretary of the Treasury, the cabinet position that is in charge of money, without question.

New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez admits to using performance enhancing steroids, but Major League Baseball declines to punish him because of his continued collapse in the playoffs.

President Obama announces that he is setting a date to end the war in Iraq. By 2752 all American soldiers will be out of the country.

March

President Obama quickly follows up his target date to end the war in Iraq by declaring a surge in the war in Afghanistan. Throngs of cheering liberals suddenly fall silent.

Later in the month President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton declare the U.S. will spend $40 million to ensure that the elections in Afghanistan are free, safe, just, and that our guy gets elected.

The University of North Carolina wins the men's NCAA Basketball Championship. I have nothing funny to say about it, other than my wife is making me put this on the list as she is a 1994 Tar Heel graduate.

The United States declares a public health emergency over the swine flu. Though some people die, millions of others get a mild flu-like symptoms that include temperatures and a sore throat, so they stay home from school or work and are forced to watch Drew Carey destroy what was The Price is Right.

Supreme Court Justice David Souter announces his retirement after he fell off of the left-side of the bench. You may recall that the Socialist-sympathizing Souter wrote the opinion that the government has the right to confiscate your property and use it for other purposes if it will generate more tax revenue.

Unemployment reaches 8.5% while General Motors announces that it will scrap Pontiac. Instead, GM will focus on producing geriatric-centric vehicles like Buick and Chevrolet. GM then continues to lose ground in the auto industry and has no idea why.

May

The United States Senate passes tough new credit card laws designed to regulate the industry. Eager to beat the deadline before the law goes into effect, credit card companies dump millions of deadbeats and jack up interest rates to 75% on all of the other chumps.

June

Several days away from summer, the hated Pittsburgh Penguins won Lord Stanley's Cup in the NHL championship, defeating the Detroit Red Wings 4 games to 3. Sidney Crosby considered the best hockey player ever by ESPN, continued to prove that he is the 2nd best player on the team after Evgeni Malkin who totaled 36 points in the playoffs. It was 30° on the ice, but 80° outside. Several delusional Pittsburgh fans start cheering "Pittsburgh, city of champions!", but fortunately the Pirates still suck.

Also in June the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Orlando Magic in the NBA championship. In a pre-tournament meeting the NBA referees decided to let the Lakers win after a 5 gave series and that Kobe Bryant would be allowed to foul as much as needed in order to get enough points to earn the MVP award. The referees and the NBA denied any wrong-doing.

Men who were teenagers in the late 1970's and early 1980's mourned the death of actress and poster-model Farrah Fawcett who passed away from anal cancer. Perhaps best known as Jill Munroe on Charlie's Angels, she was once married to Lee Majors, the Bionic Man, and was in a domestic partnership with Ryan O'Neal. She was 62.

Not to be outdone my Fawcett, Michael Jackson allegedly died the same day, the story being broken by TMZ, after being put to sleep by an anesthesiologist per MJ's request. However, critics claimed that Michael Jackson's soul has been dead for years and his body has only been functioning because of robotics and experimental cosmetics. Millions of emotionally unbalanced people swarmed Los Angeles to mourn his loss.

Former Louisiana Democratic Congressman William Jefferson is convicted of bribery, racketeering, and money laundering. Investigators found money stashed in his freezer. Jefferson claimed it was safer in his freezer than in the stock market.

The great promoter of socialism for the common people, millionaire Senator Ted Kennedy, the drunken brother of former President John F. Kennedy and former Attorney General and Presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, passed away after a valiant battle with brain cancer. Fortunately for Mr. Kennedy he didn't drown in a river after some drunk driver drove him off of a bridge and walked away and didn't report it to the police until the next day. Only common people go to jail for such things.

Obama pushes the Cash for Clunkers program to invigorate the economy. Used cars are required to be destroyed by filling them with deadly toxic acid and dumping them in junk yards. The new webcast is a 10 second blip of him telling kids to stay in school.

A shooting at Fort Hood in Texas claim the lives of 13 people with 31 injured. Self-proclaimed al-Qaida terrorist Army Major Malik Hasan is a prime suspect after he announced for months that jihad was necessary and he would kill everyone. Military officials continue to question him to find out if he is really the shooter and whether or not it is politically correct to imprison him.

Obama announces expanded government aid to people that are unable to pay their mortgages. Those that are nearly bankrupt, but have been making their payments are ineligible for aid. Those that have been having rave parties, driving Hummers, and spending what cash they have like a prostitute at a slot machine will continue to be eligible to receive tax-payer-backed funding.

December

GM Chief Executive Fritz Henderson resigns as he is tired of the government telling him what to do. As the largest shareholder, the government is pushing GM to produce tiny economy cars that seat 2, are made of plastic, and get 40 miles per gallon. Unfortunately for GM, Americans continue to buy Honda Accords that weigh 2000 pounds and get about 28 miles per gallon. Sales of GM cars continue to slide and no one has any idea why.

Police are called to the scene of an accident in Florida only to find Tiger Woods' vehicle smashed into a tree with Tiger lying on the ground with a 3 iron wrapped around his neck. Tiger's wife, Swedish model Elin Nordergren admits that Tiger went down 5 seconds into an ultimate fight club match with her after she found out that he was hooking up with trashy New Jersey waitresses. Tiger officially changes his name to Cheetah.

David Letterman - Open Wide

What the heck is up with David Letterman lately?

As I posted in Facebook today - David Letterman can't seem to keep his foot out of his mouth or his dick in his pants.

If you aren't already aware, the formerly funny Late Show host made a comment about Alex Rodriguez having sex with Sarah Palin's daughter when they attended a recent Yankees game. Letterman had been (and continues to) show his liberal colors by bashing everyone in the Republican Party. In the Palin incident, he wasn't aware that it was the 14 year old daughter of Vice-Presidential candidate Sarah Palin attending the Yankees game with her mother, but nonetheless, he made a Jackass comment regardless of which daughter he thought he was bashing. Don't go after a politician's children. Do you think anyone could get away with the same pedophilic comments about Sasha and Malia Obama? I think not.

Then this week the married Letterman admits on his show that he's been having sex with employees of the show - presumably women. The admission came on the heals of an extortion attempt by one of the producers from the TV investigative show 48 Hours. The alleged extortionist, Robert J. Halderman, had demanded $2 million for his silence.

Letterman is a friend of unimaginable situations. He was stalked by a woman who eventually killed herself, and at age 83, Letterman and his girlfriend had a baby. If I am not mistaken, Letterman is the oldest late night talk show host to have a child born to an unwed mother.

And to think - I used to believe that he was funny.

Exit Stage Far Right ....

Well, as Matt-Man first reported, Sunday was Gov. Quitter’s Sarah Palin’s last day to pretend that she is interested in actually governing as Governor of Alaska. She marked the end of her reign of terror occasion by holding three picnics over the weekend in different locations. These were all set up with free food and fun and games and the public can come out and thank Sarah for hanging tough and sticking it out for a little over half of her term. Of course, at each of these events Sarah took a few minutes to celebrate herself and remind everyone of her selfless actions in walking away from her responsibilities as governor.

Heck, I’m so proud of her for tossing aside her oath to serve the people of Alaska and quitting that I even sent a congratulatory reply to her on Twitter after she tweeted about the picnics…

Heh … Well, I certainly meant it in the most positive and happy way.

Needless to say she didn’t respond to me. Nor did any of the other Tea Party nut bags who love to stand in public parks and on public sidewalks paid for by pork barrel spending and rant and rave against pork barrel government spending in other people’s districts. You know, on things like self-indulgent farewell celebration picnics thrown by governors who can’t be bothered to complete their term because they have more important things to do than actually govern.

I’m hoping that Palin is going to take over as President of the Tea Party People. She’s the perfect spokesperson for such a group of hypocrites. She goes around the country preaching against the evils of government spending while her state of Alaska is doing the backstroke swimming down a river of millions and millions of federal pork barrel tax dollars. I think it’s only fitting that people like Palin and Bobby Jindal of Louisiana would be front and center in this debate since they represent the two biggest mooches in the union.

But, now Palin can go hang out with the people who make up the majority of her supporters…

Also, if you really want to have a good time, head over to LynnRocket’s Blast Off and check out the brilliant Palin parodies. They’re hilarious.

Def Leppard and Hockey

Did you catch Def Leppard singing at the hockey celebration in Detroit yesterday on the Versus channel? It was quite a show.

Now, from a historical perspective, you'll agree that Def Leppard is the 2nd or 3rd best band of all time -after Van Halen, of course, and perhaps a statistical tie with Led Zeppelin. Now, I'm talking rock bands here. This does not include those boy-bands, like that 1960's version of Nsync. What was it called, the Beatles?

So anyway, I heard them sing Let's Get Rocked (Adrenalizer), Animal and Pour Some Sugar on Me (Hysteria), and Foolin' (Pyromania). Now, there's no doubt that they were singing live. Let's face it - they're in their late 40's. At this point, I'd make a good frontman for the band. Overall, though, I think they did a good job. Though the singing was not up to their vintage 80's peak, their guitar and drum playing was probably even better than it was 25 years ago.

I do want to point out that those Limeys did make one HUGE faux pas. They brought out the Cup. Joe Elliott (lead singer) grabbed the Cup and carried over to the podium and placed it upside-down. Dolt!!! I think it was Darren McCarty who ran over to the podium and flipped it around to which Elliot replied, "What do we know? We're just a bunch of soccer guys."

Oh, well. At least hockey season has started.

On a funny note - there was an article on Fox Sports about Alexander Ovechkin and the importance of hockey mom's. The article pointed out that like Sarah Palin, Ovechkin's mom made many sacrifices for her son.

A friend of mine emailed me and asked why they didn't mention Sidney Crosby in the article. I told him that the article was about mothers and I think that Crosby was raised by a same-sex couple in San Francisco.

Random Musings

Just a couple of random occurrences that I thought were funny.

Physical Therapy
I'm in physical therapy right now for my neck problem that I had mentioned previously. Today the therapist had me sit in a chair to do my neck exercises. Luckily for me a really nice looking girl was on the table in front of me doing her exercises. Apparently I was doing mine incorrectly because the therapist came over and corrected me. "Keep your head up and focus your eyes on something over there." "Oh, but I am!" I couldn't stop laughing!

Retirement vs. Fantasy Football
With all the market turmoil and yesterday being the last day of the third quarter, I decided to take a look at my retirement statement online. Boy I wish I hadn't. I'm down quite a bit. Now I'm not sure what's doing worse - my fantasy football team or my 401(k).

Ralph Nader
Did you hear this one? The Washington Post announced they were not going to cover Ralph Nader's campaign for President because he has no chance of winning. When informed of this, Nader responded, "Then why are they covering the Nationals?"

VPILF
How about this one? When asked if she was looking forward to the Vice-Presidential debate on Thursday, Republican Sarah Palin responded about Joe Biden, "I'm looking forward to meeting him. I've never met him," she said at a rally here. "I've been hearing about his Senate speeches since I was in, like, the second grade."

And the VPILF acronym? Yes, I lifted that from another blog, but I like it. I'm sure you can figure it out.
