Australian tour

Is the groundwork being laid for an Australian tour next year by Madonna? According to sources, preliminary work has started on a potential tour and confidential feelers have been put out regarding accommodation and venue availability, the Herald Sun reports. But approached about the possibility of Madonna heading Down Under, promoter Live Nation yesterday offered a polite but firm "no comment".

Plans for Madonna to undertake an Australian tour in January 2009 were scrapped because of the global financial crisis. She last visited in 1993, and has bypassed Australia with each subsequent world tour.
