Justin Bieber Hates America and Loves Babies, Oh and Watson is Smart...

Is it possible that America can let Justin Bieber giving his opinion on abortion and proclaiming his love for his home country of Canada without losing our collective shit? Yeah, probably not. It's going to be Carrie Prejean all over again.

Does anyone really think that Justin Bieber has sat around and really thought these issues through? He's the 16 year old product of the Teen Pop Music Marketing Machine™ . For someone to ask him to comment on controversial issues is just as ridiculous as that assclown Perez Hilton asking Carrie Prejean about gay marriage. It was an unfair question and it's unfair to ask teen pop stars questions about issues that most people struggle with well into adulthood.

Yeah, I know YOOOOOO don't care what any celebrity says about anything. Unless of course they actually run for office and have the correct letter next to their name. Then, you're right there to vote for them.

Oh and FUCK YOU Rolling Stone for making defend Justin Bieber. I'll never forgive you for this.

So did everyone watch the big Jeopardy Battle this week? They matched two of their biggest all-time winners against an IBM super computer named Watson. It was interesting, but I wish they hadn't spent so much time talking about Watson and just played the game. Anyone who wanted to see all the Watson stuff could be directed to a website where all the info would be. Why spend all the time on it?

Anyway, it's cool but I don't quite what to think about it. I wonder if the computer actually had an advantage in terms of being able to buzz in a fraction of a second faster. And the wagering was definitely strange.

But, what the hell. I beat Watson on Final Jeopardy in the first game so that makes me feel better.

We'll also unveil our newest sponsor, the all new presidential cafe Air Force YUM! and Marty Martstein will be along with an interview with President William Henry Harrison.

People Think They Know Me ...

So one of the apps on Facebook is this thing where you answer questions about people on your friend's list. Then that person gets a notice that someone has answered a question about them. But, when you get that notice and click on it, you find that you need to earn so many points or coins or whatever to find out who it was that answered the questions.

It does give you the questions and the answers, just not who answered them. So, the other day someone answered a question about me and I clicked the link and then looked at all the questions people have answered about me. Then I decided to list them here. I've changed the way the questions were worded to make it easier. Next to the question is the answer and then my comment in italics.

Do you think Jay....

Would key a car in revenge: YNo way would I do this.
Has ever told a lie: NWe've all told lies.
Is religious: N … Organized religion? No thanks.
Likes chick flicks: NoFor the most part, this is true.
Would let you cheat off of his paper: YesActually, I probably would
Has ever smoked: YesA loooong time ago.
Like blue eyes: YesOf course.

Is a freak: NoOh quit being nice.
Grinds his teeth while sleeping: NoNot to my knowledge.
Likes British accents: Yes Oh so sexy!
Has kissed a girl: Yes And I didn't even have to pay!
Has a nice body: YesAfraid I'll find out who answered this one?
Has a nice butt: YesSame as above.
Is cute: YesAww .. People are so sweet.

Is dumber than Brittany Spears: NoVery few people are.
Has a cute profile pic: YesAgain, people are just too nice
Should do laundry more often: Yes Finally, some honesty
Has showered today: Yes Odds are this is true.
Has kissed a guy: NoWell there was the stripper in OKC who had allegedly had a sex change.
Would make a good spouse: Yes I agree. I probably would.
Would go bungee jumping: Yes No fucking way.

Outdoor Football, The Post Office, DADT and I'm With Stupid ...

I'm sure by now you guys have all seen the video of the collapse of the Metrodome last Sunday morning in Minneapolis. Well, since the roof can't be repaired by this week, the Vikings will have to play their game against the Bear this week at the Univ. of Minnesota's OUTDOOR stadium.

And, if you listen to the talking heads on ESPN, you'd think there was never an NFL game played outside EVER! I hate to break this to some people, but they play NFL games outdoors in places like Green Bay, Pittsburgh, Chicago, New England, Cleveland and Canada Buffalo. I'm pretty sure this one can be played in Minneapolis without too much incident.

Speaking of the NLF. Why is that coaches don't hesitate to go for it on 4th and anywhere from 1 to 3 yards if they are on the opponents 38 to 25 yard line, but NEVER go for it on 4th and 1 inside the opponents 10 yard line? Drives me crazy. Worst thing that happens is you don't make it and force the other team to go 90+ yards. Seems like a no-brainer to me.

Okay, politics...

They are, once again, about to vote on the repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell. And once again, there are republicans saying publicly that they intend to vote “yes” on repeal. But, we all know what's going to happen. They're gonna make up some bullshit reason that the democrats are being mean to them, and then all end up voting “no” and keeping the bill from going to a final vote. Happens every time. And it'll happen again this time.

I went to the post office on Monday to mail a package of presents to my sister. I walked in and headed straight to the area where the self-help area to use the automated checkout to send my package. But, it wasn't there! And the line was looooooooooong. So I had to leave and go back later.

When I went back there were only three people in line. Of course, the post office made up for this by only having one window open. Anyway, I finally got up there and asked the guy where the self-help machine went.

PO Guy: “To Jonesboro”
Me: “Why?”
PO Guy: “They don't have them for every post office and they decided to move ours to a bigger office.”
Me: “Was it just too efficient and making things too easy?”
PO Guy: “Yeah.”

Then he weighed my box and all that stuff ..

PO Guy: “We can get it there on Wed. Guaranteed for $42.90”
Me: “Is that in Pesos??”
PO Guy: “Well, we can also send it for $11.00 and it's estimated to get there on Wed. but no guarantees.”
Me: “But, it'll be there by Christmas Eve”
PO Guy: “We can't guarantee that sir.”
Me: “You can't get this little ole package to Omaha, NE in 10 business days? Should I use UPS?”
PO Guy: “I'm sure it'll get there no problem.”

My sister got it on Wednesday.

Check out the light display this dude put up on his camper that he has set up at a trailer park just down the road from me. I think the lights cost more than his home...

Aaaaaaaaaaaaand don't forget, Thursday night at 11 pm EST is “I'm With Stupid.” This week, it's Matt and Jay Raw! We've got a live remote from the Sun Bowl in El Paso, TX, a new Christmas song from Matt-Man and Matt-Man has an “interview” with his Ex!! You DON'T wanna miss that!

We also have some previews of some college bowl games you might not have ever heard of and .. well, the rest of the show will just be Matt and Jay going wherever the wind takes them. There's just no telling what we'll come up with. I might even talk about my Amish Girlfriend who isn't actually Amish cause that stuff confuses me.

Anyway, it's gonna be a great time so tune in and call in if you feel like it!!!

Oh and as a little preview for next week, start writing up your lists of grievances because next week on the 23rd we'll be holding Festivus!!

Random RynoThon Ramblings ...

True story:  When Matt-Man and I both called into the show this week, Matt thought he would be funny by saying "I can't hear you Jay" trying to make think that ONCE AGAIN we were going to have technical problems.  Well we both had a great laugh at that and then settled in to do the show.  Then mysterious lady from Blog Talk Radio did the little count down and I hit the play button on the show's intro and MATT-MAN DROPPED OFF THE SWITCHBOARD!

Which is probably what we get for mocking the radio Gods.

But, we got that issue resolved and had a full hour and a half of rambling awesomeness thanks to our callers Drive By Mikey, Mike and Dianne.  Give it a listen if you get the chance...

Also, if you missed it you can here the awesomely heartfelt PSA that former Presidents George W Bush and Bill Clinton did to help Matt-Man's son Ryno out...

Bowl Pick 'Em, Burger King and A Radiothon ...

First, I'm With Stupid is hosting a College Football Pick 'Em game on Yahoo. If you would like to play, go RIGHT HERE and sign up. It's free and easy just like me. The winner will get their blog or whatever they want, promoted all over our show, our blogs and our twitter pages. How awesome is that?

We're playing “straight pick” NOT “confidence” so do that option if it asks. Anyway, it will be fun even if you don't follow college football at all.

--

So not too long ago I ventured out into the darkness at around 6 pm to go to Burger King. It seemed like a fairly routine task and I expected to be back quickly and without anything blogworthy happening. Well, I was wrong. It turned out to be a really strange experience.

I get there and the place is empty except for the five or so employees. Not a single customer in the joint. At 6 pm. On a Friday night. Crazy!

Anyway, I step up to the register and give the nice young lady my very complicated order of a Double Whopper with cheese, mustard and pickle only. Now, it's possible that the registers at Burger King are extra complicated to use. Eve if I could obviously tell how to put my order in while reading her register upside down despite the fact that I've never worked in a fast food joint like BK.

After a bit of a struggle she finally got the order in and then told me my total, took my cash and gave me my change without incident. Then she told me that I was “Number 33” She was very clear about the number, just in case I'm hard of hearing or not good at understanding such things. I guess it's good to have a routine and stay in the practice of insuring that people know their number, even when the place is empty.

So, I go over and fill my cup halfway with coke, drink it, and refill it again as I always do. Then I turn around and wait patiently. After a couple of minutes the girl who took my order put the burger in the sack with the fries and turned around to place it on the counter. I began walking up to her and she very loudly said “NUMBER THIRTY-THREE??!!!” I froze for a second and looked around the room. Then I reached out to get the sack from her and she again said “Number thirty-three?” kind of have accusatory and half in disbelief. All this even though she had just taken my order less that 3 minutes earlier.

At this point I considered looking at my receipt and saying “Oh, not I'm number FORTY-three. Damn” and then walking back over to the coke dispensers. But, I was hungry and was afraid that this would really confuse her, so I assured her that I was indeed number thirty-three and for her give me my damn food.

I got in the car and though “You know, I should check to make sure they got this right.” Sure enough, they put ketchup on my burger and no mustard. How the fuck do they screw up an order when I'm the only damn customer in the place? Did someone come through an hour earlier and want ketchup and pickles and the guy on the line got all confused? Whatever.

I took the bag back inside and informed the girl who now acts as if she's never seen me before in her life that the order is wrong and she says “Really?” as if this never happens. Well, turns out the cook or assembly line guy DID get confused because the order on the ticket was what I wanted. So, they fixed it and I left happy with my yummy burger.

This is why never go use the drive through.

Don't forget that we are holding what I can only guess will be the biggest event in the history of Blog Talk Radio Thursday night. A star-studded Radiothon for Ryno this THURSDAY at 11 pm EST on I'm With Stupid! That's right. Poor Ryno's reaction to Matt-Man getting laid off was “Daddy? Will there still be Christmas?”

It was heartbreaking and as the news spread celebrities from all over the world have volunteered to help out. Scheduled to “appear” are Justin Bieber, Mac Davis, Jack Johnson, Jessica Alba, Samuel L. Jackson, Marilyn McCoo and the list goes on and on and on.

You don't wanna miss this one! Or if you do, you'll definitely want to listen in archives. It's going to be a very inspiring night of a thousand stars.

And, don't forget that's on THURSDAY at 11 pm EST RIGHT HERE!

Home ...

So I made it through another great Thanksgiving week in Omaha. We had a good time even though it was pretty cold most of the week up there. There's just something about the cold up there that makes it feel colder than down here when it's the same temps. And it's not just the wind, although it is pretty windy on the plains most of the time. Like I said, 25 degrees up there, just feels colder than 25 degrees down here.

Anyway, it was basically the same trip that we've had every year, so I won't really do much of a trip report. Nothing too eventful happened. Well, other than when we got pulled over by a Missouri State Trooper coming home. I wasn't driving, so I'm not the one who got the ticket. But, I did get this pic of our friendly officer serving and protecting....
IMG_2349

And, my sister got a Wii. That means that we played some serious Wii Bowling and Golf matches. I'm pretty good at the golf, okay at bowling but really suck at baseball. Only played baseball once, but that was enough.

I did have Five Guys Burger for the first time ever. It was great. Especially the fries.
5guys

I also went to Trader Joe's for the first time ever. It was pandemonium there. It was wayyyyy too crowded to look around and see what all they had. So, I'll have to go back sometime.

We went there right after we went to some fancy kitchen store. You know, one of those places that tries to sell $60 cutting boards to stupid people who think it will work better than the $10 cutting board at Walmart will? Yeah, one of those stores. But, they did have some cool stuff. One major complaint was that you would think that a place that sells such high end stuff would have had softer toilet paper in their bathrooms. Weird.

We ate at Johnny's Italian Steak House one night. I had a 10 ounce fillet mignon (cooked medium) and a great big baked potato. And I hate the whole damn thing. It was delicious.

Then, I had almost two full plates at Thanksgiving dinner. That was some damn good stuff too.
IMG_2315

And poor Lucy and Cosette were always so sad when we left to go anywhere.
lucyCosette

But, they did get to lick the plates in the dishwasher before it was run. Cosette especially enjoyed the rack that the turkey was cooked on.
IMG_2318

So basically that’s it. Not too eventful, but a nice week. Now, it’s time to get my Christmas shopping done which should take me all of about 15 minutes.

Which reminds me. I think I’ve decided against sending out Christmas cards this year. Maybe a couple, but not a whole bunch like the last two years. Last year I sent out over 40 and only got like 12, so why keep sending cards to those fuckers? Yeah, that’s kind of childish, but I don’t care. Pfffffft

Oh and I almost forgot. We have discovered that listening to “I'm With Stupid” every Friday night at 11 pm EST, or in archives over on the right side bar of this blog or even downloading the show and listening on your computer or iPod is an orgasmic experience. At least it was for Meg Ryan...

Gobble, Gobble ...

Okay kids, it's almost time for me to hit the road to Omaha. I'll be leaving by around 9 am on Friday and will return home sometime around sunset on Friday the 26th. Over the last few years the week of Thanksgiving has marked a semi-hiatus of sorts for me and this blog through the end of the year. But, let's be honest. This blog has been on semi-hiatus for months now. I'm barely posting, so there's really no reason to make any announcement as to how things will be going on this blog after I get back from Nebraska. They'll probably be the same.

I really don't want this blog to become nothing more than a place for me pimp the radio show. You know, "I'm With Stupid" which can be heard live every Friday night at 11 pm EST on Blog Talk Radio. Or, if you can't be there live, you can always listen in archives. It's a pretty good time. Last week's episode is currently ranked #4 in the Comedy category. So we're getting a few listeners in archives and, more importantly, having a freaking blast doing the show. But, it would be even MORE fun with you there. This week is our Thanksgiving Extravaganza! You KNOW that's going to be fun!

Also, check out this great promo that Kevin Spacey did for our show. I mean sure, he doesn't know he did it, but it was cool of him to anyway.

Of course, I still have my TUMBLR blog going. But, that's mostly just pics, videos, quotes and audio. But, it's kinda cool too. People post all kinds of awesome stuff over there. I will probably be posting some stuff over there next week. I have one post that will go up here on this blog next week, but as on now nothing else is planned. After I get back from Nebraska I will have to decide what to do about this blog. Like if I'm going to actually try to get back on a regular blogging schedule and what I will blog about and that all that shit.

But, for now, I'm just going to go and enjoy myself in that hot rockin' town of Omaha. I will be around on Twitter some and will try to get by to everyone's blog a couple of times. Of course, I'm always available via email if you feel like sending sexy pics or marriage proposals. Or both.

So, everyone have a great Thanksgiving and I'll see you when I see you.

Until then, enjoy this pic of Natalie Portman out hunting for her Thanksgiving dinner in her upcoming movie "Your Highness"

Happy Thanksgiving everybody!

Epic Show!

This week's episode was non-stop fun and excitement talking about blogging and social media.  While you're listening try to guess how many hours it had been since I slept and how many beers Matt-Man had drunk.  (Hint: Guess high on both) Good times baby!

Also, we had a great interview with Dianne about BOTH of her blogs HERE and HERE.

And, Dana called in!

Then Mike called in from the Bingo Parlor, but I wasn't supposed to pick up the line.  Sorry about that dude.

Why Do You Blog?

To write?
To stay in touch with friends and family?
To join the national discussion?
To talk about a specific topic like sports/TV/music/food etc?
To try to influence others?
To give your underrepresented side a voice?
To bitch and rant?
To entertain?
To try to make a little side money?
To try to become a professional writer?
To strengthen your personal brand?
To connect with people from other places and other cultures?
To find members of the opposite sex who are not your wife or husband to get busy with?
To brag about how awesome you are?
To brag about your absolutely perfect kids who never do anything wrong and make perfect grades?
To trash your husband and give commenters the chance to do the same?
To show off your artistic talents?
To avoid having to pay for therapy?
To make yourself do something creative and keep your brain working?
To create a daily record of your or your family's life?
To chronicle your swinging lifestyle.
To celebrate your favorite celebrity in a slightly creepy/stalkerish way?
To make yourself a better person?
To make friends who will up and disappear on you and really hurt you?
To have something to do when you're bored?
To expand on the ideas that you've been tweeting about?
To be discovered and become famous or get a reality show?
To become famous for getting fired because of your blog?

Also, are the reasons you blog today the same as when you started? If not, why not?

You don't have to answer right now if you don't want to.  The reason I ask is Matt-Man and I have decided to add a new "Blogger of the Week" segment to "I'm With Stupid."  We're hoping that many of you would like to come on the show and do a short interview about why you blog and your blogging experiences and all that stuff.  We may not do this every single week, just when we have someone willing to come on.  So, anyone want to be interviewed on internet radio and become a BIG STAR???  Email/DM/Call me or Matt and let us know.

I would also answer that question if I could.  Right now I don't have a definitive answer as to why I blog.  I mean yeah, it's mostly about trying to make connections with people and especially people from other places and cultures.  But, I'm not really being that successful at that right now.  I am succeeding in the whole "making friends or connections with people who up and disappear" thing.  But, I think that's just part of the blogosphere and everyone experiences that. Otherwise I don't really have any specific reason why I'm blogging right now.  Maybe I'll try to figure that out sometime soon.

Anyway, here's a pretty funny promo I made for "I'm With Stupid" using some snippets from Lebron James' new ad...

Down With The Nanny State ...

Hola bitches!  Matt-Man and I have got a big show planned for you this week on "I'm With Stupid!"

First we'll cover the fallout from the election.  Specifically the devastating day that each person who was endorsed by "I'm With Stupid" had.  Everyone we endorsed lost.  But, we're not giving up or giving in!  Our love for Sharon Angle, Christine O'Donnell and Carl Paladino will never fade.

Also, we have partnered with soon to be EX-senator Blanche Lincoln in a new venture.  I will be fun for the whole family.

And then ...

Are you tired of do-gooders and moralists trying to tell you how to live your own life?  People trying to protect you from yourself by telling you "don't eat that" or "don't smoke" or "don't drink so much" or "don't watch that movie cause it's dirty" etc?  Yeah, us too and this week we're taking a stand against the Nanny State.  It's time for these control freaks to take a hike.  Or have a drink, put some money on a football game and have deviant sex.
Photobucket

So, tune in at 11 pm Eastern TONIGHT to "I'm With Stupid" for non stop fun and games.  And, you can even call in if you've got something on your mind.  Hell, you can even call in and support the Nanny State if ya want.  Our call in number is 661.244.9852

Be there or .. or ... uh ... Be there or I'll cry at your total insensitivity to my feelings and all that stuff.  You know how sensitive I am and if you don't listen I'll just assume that you don't love me.  And that just hurts.

Halloween Extravaganza!

Hola Bitches! Well, it’s Halloween weekend again. And you know what that means. Yup, time to close the blackout curtains, locked the doors and turn out the porch light so the little beggars won’t knock on my door. Well, most of them won’t anyway. There’s always a few that knock anyway. I’m always tempted to open the door and yell at them about not having any manners and just generally being stupid. I’m also somewhat tempted to give them some candy cause if you’re ballsy enough to knock on a door when all the lights are out, you kind of deserve some.

And you know what else this means don’t you? That’s right kids. It’s the first annual Halloween Extravaganza on “I’m With Stupid!

We’ve got a great hour of ghostly frivolity and spine-chilling jocularity planned for you, our wonderful, loyal and sexy as hell listeners. We’re gonna talk about Tricks AND Treats, scary movies, costumes and Halloween’s past and present. And we invite you to call in and do the same.
Photobucket

In addition to that, as if that’s not enough ghastly excitement, we will have the world premiere of a few scary Halloween themed movies starring Oprah and, of course, the greatest actress of her generation, Miley Cyrus. Plus a very special public service announcement from a civic organization that is working hard to make sure we all have a great Halloween weekend.

And of course we’ll have our football picks which will, as always, include a Nipsey Russell tribute.

So, join us Tonight! Friday night at 11 pm Eastern

What’s that? Oh yes! We’ve moved the show to Friday nights! How exciting is that??

So join us .. the NUMBER 3 rated comedy show on Blog Talk Radio!
showranking

How cool is that?  Anyway, Join Matt-Man and me on "I'm With Stupid" at our new day and time, Fridays at 11 pm Eastern! Woo-Hoo!

Culinary Creations and Hispanic Heritage Month ...

Okay, so no football picks this week as I haven't taken any time at all to study the match ups and obviously only taking about 2 minutes to make the picks didn't work well last week.

But, don't forget that Sunday on "I'm With Stupid" Matt and I will be discussing some of our greatest culinary creations.  Call in with your best and worst too!  Also, great and not so great restaurant experiences and even your favorite comfort foods.  That's all at 11 am eastern time Sunday morning!

Pure Crap ...

I wrote a blog post for today but when I read it over I realized it was pure crap.  Even more so than usual.  So I said "Fuck it" and threw it away.

So I'm just posting to remind everyone to listen to "I'm With Stupid" with me and Matt-Man on Sunday at 11 am eastern.  This week it's all about drunken adventures and hangovers.  Call in with your stories too!

If you don't listen then both a kitten AND a puppy die.  You don't want that on your conscience.
