My Favorite architectural Balenciaga Shoes

The latest fall winter collection by the paris fashion house balenciaga features footwear that takes an
architectural approach, mixing block heels with a collage of materials. the collection was designed by
pierre hardy to match the high-tech materials of nicolas ghesquiere's clothing designs. the shoes are made
from a full range of materials that includes leather, wood, plastic, metal and a few newer high tech
materials. the designs feature classic forms like the loafer and brogue, reinvented with the square heels
made from collaged bits of plastic that are reminiscent of memphis design. the front of the shoes also
have plastic elements tacked on underneath to raise them up. other designs even have slip-in style front
that take a design cue from water ski bindings.
