Brad Pitt may play in Shekhar Kapur's Lord Buddha



Shekhar Kapur plans to make a film on the life of Lord Buddha, with the blessing of the Dalai Lama.
Kapur, who describes himself as "spiritual, not religious" said that his film would explore the idea of "searching for the spirit, for the self".
Reports suggest Richard Gere, a devout Buddhist, may have a role besides Brad Pitt and Aishwarya Rai, former Miss World and star of Bride and Prejudice, which will also might be involved.
The movie, likely to cost about 70 million pounds, will be funded by the Indian industrialist Bhupendra Kumar Modi.
