The consequences of sleep apnea, as described by the litany of doctors early in this video, is pretty frightening. So take it from Shaq and get checked out.

It's hard to feel bad for someone whose doomsday predictions caused so much anxiety, but 89-year-old Harold Camping's recent admission that he's "flabbergasted" the world didn't end last weekend sounds somewhat pitiful.

"It has been a really tough weekend," Camping said Sunday, after emerging from his Alameda, California home for the first time to talk to a reporter from the San Francisco Chronicle. "I'm looking for answers ... But now I have nothing else to say," he said, adding that he would make a full statement. I mean really would anyone take this guy seriously?

Thomas(notes) was drafted in the sixth round by the Chicago Bears, but the lockout leaves him without much to do right now. The athletic, hard-hitting linebacker out of West Virginia University is still in Morgantown, keeping in shape and spending time with his family.

Every day, Thomas helps his 7-year-old brother Jared get home from school. Riding the same bus as Jared is an eighth-grade girl named Joslyn Levell, who happened to grow up in Chicago as a Bears fan and now lives in Morgantown. Joslyn has spina bifida and uses a wheelchair.
With assists from the bus driver and J.T.'s stepmother, Thomas got on the bus one day to say hello to Joslyn. They hit it off immediately. From NFL.com:
As J.T. met a Bears fan in his hometown, Joslyn explained to him that she'd had a rough week because all of the boys she asked to the dance declined. Thomas melted.
"I hugged her and signed a few things and we talked for awhile and she cried a bit," Thomas recounted. "I gave her a hug and told her everything would work itself out."
It did. J.T. asked her to the dance himself.
"I was nervous that by the time I reached out, she might have had a date and would have to turn me down," he said.
Joslyn gladly accepted the invitation. And another fell good storyu for the week.

WANT TO HAVE A BIG BUT, IT JUST MIGHT KILL YOU

Police are on the hunt for a doctor that performed a butt enhancement surgery using silicone that killed a 20-year old student named Claudia Aderotimi. Apparently the silicone was injected directly into her blood stream causing her lungs to fill up with the fluid after being administered by an unlicensed doctor.
On a side not I think Nancy Grace is the most irritating person on tv. Will someone please replace her.

GET YOUR BACON TOOTHPASTE

Yes this is real.  Bacon Toothpaste ($5) is a teeth-cleaning paste flavored like a delicious piece of fried bacon. It's probably not FDA-approved, and we have serious doubts that it'll leave you with fresh breath so why bother unless your eating eome eggs afterwards.

REPORTER GOES SPEECHLESS COULD BE STROKE RELATED

Reporter Serene Branson is hospitalized after a slurring Grammys speech (video below) last night. CBS2 has yet to confirm if Serene Branson suffered a stroke.

Branson appeared live for CBS 2 News Los Angeles, covering the telecast. During the post-telecast recap, a CBS2 studio anchor sent the report to Branson who appeared outside the Los Angeles venue in a full winter’s jacket.
Branson appeared calm, smiling, and apparently fine. But shortly after she began speaking, it was apparent something had clearly gone wrote. With the exception of “very”, not one word in her sentence was intelligible. Branson’s facial reaction changed from smiles to frustration as she realized she was apparently unable to formulate a word.
Despite reports, CBS has yet to confirm if a medical matter, or a stroke, prompted the condition Sunday. The DailyRecord.co.uk is reporting that “she may have suffered a stroke”, but CBS2 has not confirmed that.
Hope she is ok this wouldn't be good for sweeps.

YES THESE TWO ARE TWINS

The Richardson family recently celebrated the 4th birthdays of their twins, but the boys are anything but identical, the Daily Mail reports.

In 2006, mother Kerry Richardson, who is of English and Nigerian descent, gave birth to a white, or Caucasian-looking, boy named Layton a few minutes before delivering a black son named Kaydon.
The boys have a white father, but doctors told the family the chances of Richardson giving birth to a white baby, let alone simultaneously with a black child, were about a one in a million.
Richardson later welcomed another addition to the family, her baby girl, Tiyannah, whose skin is also white.
"Before the twins, I would have expected that any child of mine would have my color in them," she told the Daily Mail. "But after Layton, I wasn't sure what she was going to look like."
The boys' mother said she is worried how their appearances will affect them as they get older.
"It's never been an issue up to now, but I know that Layton notices the difference in their color," she told the Daily Mail. "I hope it's not going to be a problem when they start school, but kids can be cruel."
Their skin tones are just the beginning of the twins' differences, and their mother says their personalities are often surprising.
"Kaydon is hyper and excitable, whereas Layton can be moody and stubborn," Richardson told the Daily Mail. "Kaydon is into arty stuff and jigsaws, and Layton is crazy about superheroes. You couldn't find two twins who are more different." I wonder how they pulled that off.

JACK LALANNE DIES AT 96

Jack LaLanne, the fitness guru who inspired television viewers to trim down and pump iron for decades before exercise became a national obsession, died Sunday. He was 96. LaLanne died of respiratory failure due to pneumonia Sunday afternoon at his home in Morro Bay on California’s central coast, his longtime agent Rick Hersh said.

“I have not only lost my husband and a great American icon, but the best friend and most loving partner anyone could ever hope for,” Elaine LaLanne, Lalanne’s wife of 51 years and a frequent partner in his television appearances, said in a written statement.

GIVE ME A KINDNEY AND GET OUT OF JAIL

JACKSON, Miss. – A debate is unfolding over an unusual offer from Mississippi's governor: He will free two sisters imprisoned for an armed robbery that netted $11, but one woman's release requires her to donate her kidney to the other.
The condition is alarming some experts, who have raised legal and ethical questions. Among them: If it turns out the sisters aren't a good tissue match, does that mean the healthy one goes back to jail?
Gov. Haley Barbour's decision to suspend the life sentences of Jamie and Gladys Scott was applauded by civil rights organizations and the women's attorney, who have long said the sentences were too harsh for the crime.
The sisters are black, and their case has been a cause celebre in the state's African-American community.
The Scotts were convicted in 1994 of leading two men into an ambush in central Mississippi the year before. Three teenagers hit each man in the head with a shotgun and took their wallets รข€” making off with only $11, court records said.
After 16 years in prison, Jamie Scott, 36, is on daily dialysis, which officials say costs the state about $200,000 a year.
Barbour agreed to release her because of her medical condition, but 38-year-old Gladys Scott's release order says one of the conditions she must meet is to donate the kidney within one year.
The idea to donate the kidney was Gladys Scott's and she volunteered to do it in her petition for early release.
I think that this is a win win until she discovers how much that transplant will be and has to pay the medical bills.

ORAL SEX IS KILLING YOUNGER MEN SO TO SPEAK

For years now, doctors have urged young women to be vaccinated against the human papilloma virus (HPV), which is believed to cause cervical cancer.
But now, growing research in Europe and the United States is implicating HPV in a rising number of cases of head and neck cancers in men, and many doctors are recommending that all boys be vaccinated as well.

Doctors say that changing sexual behaviors -- earlier sex, more partners and especially oral sex -- are contributing to a new epidemic of orpharyngeal squamous cell cancers, those of the throat, tonsils and base of the tongue.
These cancers can be deadly, and are striking men at a younger age and in increasing numbers.
Man who new going downtown could give you cancer. Well ladies strike that off the menu.
