REAL OR NOT SINKING BOAT
Julien Berthier a trickster as well as an artist, Berthier has created a 21-foot sculpture that looks just like a capsizing ship. In fact, it's so convincing that many a boater has stopped to assist.
Berthier says that he's not out to trick the authorities: "There was a misunderstanding like if I had made this piece to have coast guards run to help me even though there was no reason to. It is important to say that coast guards and harbor masters have always been warned and that the piece is not at all about crying to the wolf."
The sculpture bears such a strong resemblance to a real boat for a simple reason: It is one. Berthier cut a yacht in half and then made some serious modifications. The result: When anchored, it looks like a sinking ship. But--and here's the really cool part--it can still glide on the water just like a "regular" boat thanks to an onboard motor.
Pretty cool boat

GET YOUR BACON TOOTHPASTE
Yes this is real. Bacon Toothpaste ($5) is a teeth-cleaning paste flavored like a delicious piece of fried bacon. It's probably not FDA-approved, and we have serious doubts that it'll leave you with fresh breath so why bother unless your eating eome eggs afterwards.

GRAND PIANO MYSTERY SOLVED
Over the past couple of days a baby grand piano, parked on a sliver of a sandbar in Miami's Biscayne Bay, launched a thousand ships (ok, little pleasure boats), twitter accounts and countless rumors.
In the end This little installation of junk art, as it's known, was the brainchild of a 16-year-old. Nicholas Harrington is a junior at Mast Academy in Key Biscayne. His accomplices were his brother Andrew and neighbor Julian Roots, both 18. They claim that since the piano has become famous, they will motor back out to the sandbar and remove it.
Just another case of bored rich kids with nothing better to do.

GIVE ME A KINDNEY AND GET OUT OF JAIL
JACKSON, Miss. – A debate is unfolding over an unusual offer from Mississippi's governor: He will free two sisters imprisoned for an armed robbery that netted $11, but one woman's release requires her to donate her kidney to the other.
The condition is alarming some experts, who have raised legal and ethical questions. Among them: If it turns out the sisters aren't a good tissue match, does that mean the healthy one goes back to jail?
Gov. Haley Barbour's decision to suspend the life sentences of Jamie and Gladys Scott was applauded by civil rights organizations and the women's attorney, who have long said the sentences were too harsh for the crime.
The sisters are black, and their case has been a cause celebre in the state's African-American community.
The Scotts were convicted in 1994 of leading two men into an ambush in central Mississippi the year before. Three teenagers hit each man in the head with a shotgun and took their wallets รข€” making off with only $11, court records said.
After 16 years in prison, Jamie Scott, 36, is on daily dialysis, which officials say costs the state about $200,000 a year.
Barbour agreed to release her because of her medical condition, but 38-year-old Gladys Scott's release order says one of the conditions she must meet is to donate the kidney within one year.
The idea to donate the kidney was Gladys Scott's and she volunteered to do it in her petition for early release.
I think that this is a win win until she discovers how much that transplant will be and has to pay the medical bills.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN A TOWER FALLS THE WRONG WAY
The former Ohio Edison Mad River Power Plant's 275-foot tower in Springfield came down on Wed., Nov. 10, but the blast knocked it the wrong direction. The tower was supposed to fall to the northeast, but ended up falling to the south — knocking down several nearby powerlines.
No one was injured from the tower falling the wrong way, but power was knocked out for more than 8000 customers when the smoke stack crushed several pieces of power equipment
Someone better go back to math class. But I have the answer to this problem. Tower + falling wrong way = FAIL

THIS TRANSGENDERED STUFF IS EVERYWHERE
Kye Allums, 21, is a transgender male on the women’s basketball team at George Washington University. “Yes, I am a male on a female team,” Allums said after practice. “And I want to be clear about this. I am a transgender male, which means feelings-wise, how it feels on the inside, I feel as if I should have been born male with male parts. “But my biological sex is female, which makes me a transgender male.”
Allums hopes to transition to a man some day with surgery and testosterone treatments but not until the player’s eligibility is up after next season. Allums recalled being attracted to other women while attending high school in Minnesota. But after enrolling at GW, Allums identified as a transgender male.
If she is a female but feels like a male doesn't that just, make her a gay female?
