Finding love on Facebook?

Read this msg this morning after only two hours of sleep and didn't have much thoughts about it. But now that I re-read it after my superb nap, I really don't know what to say about this.

In case you can't read it from the screen shot:

Am not your average guy..am honest, lousy at lying, very faithful, prudent, does not have much time out of work to waste on unnecessary activities. I'm okay with my other half doing what she wants provided she understands there is a limit the freedom. I'll always be behind her on what she does, helping her along the way everything she wants.

I may not be the one in anyone's life at the moment but I'm hoping to find one soon I guess. I may be young, but its better to try it now than never! Looking for something long term, a short term thing.

And yourself? P.S. I'm crappy with words so I'd rather have action speak for itself. Let me take you out for dinner, a stroll by the beach and then let's see if you want to take things further. If you're okay with it, add me on MSN at *** (at) h0tm4il (dot) c0m. Hopefully it doesn't just end there.

Before I end, let me quote a verse from a song:

And how can you mend a broken heart?
How can you stop the rain from falling down?
How can you stop the sun from shining?
What makes the world go round?

I'll help do all that, shelter you from the rain, elements and make the world go round for you if you let me have a chance to do so.

I wonder how long he took to write this piece of love proposal/"template" to send it to every girl who happens to catch his attention.

And he doesn't know how to use numbers? Even his email and phone number are all in words. Want us to "figure" out his email and phone number? Yucks.

I don't know what to say about this. Only one thing:

Guys, this is NOT the way to get to know a girl.

I blocked him.

random reminders

this is one of those posts that i don't know what i want to write.
it's one of those times when you feel so blank due to sooo many things happening around you, but you just feel like writing it out. something..anything..

random reminder #1:

when you're all clear about what is lined up ahead of you practically every single day, it gets hard to breathe sometimes. knowing that the days, weeks and months ahead will be fully occupied. especially those days when Mrs. P decides to drop by for a week's visit, it's not fun at all, i'm not kidding.

it's times like these when you need to remind yourself that being busy is not entirely bad. your life is productive, you are progressing, and it all requires a sacrifice of leisure and rest. busy people change the world, amen? at the end of the day, you'll forget the fatigue and pain when you see the fruits of your labour, and be thankful that you chose not to give up.
random reminder #2:

telling someone your struggles and worries in life does not make you a weak person, and acknowledging that you are not weak does not make you proud.

in fact, the ability to tell someone your struggles (when asked to) makes you a strong and assured person, because you are confident enough to expose the soft side of yourself, standing a chance to be viewed in a different light.

a confident person who tells you her worries and struggles in life (when you asked her to) does not need sympathy. know very well that she is just giving you pieces of information since she trusts you enough to tell. no need for sympathy, empathy is optional.

especially when that someone asks you to share. if you really want to know, then listen; but do it without having a pre-conceived notion/assumption or a well-rehearsed answer at the back of your mind.

listen means listen, it's as simple as it sounds.
there is no need to unleash your wisdom and superiority to advice.
do it only upon request.

random reminder #3:

no matter what you do while behind the wheels or at the passanger's seat, buckle up. yes, even while camhoring. (Buckle-up Campaign)

off to play Bejewelled to release stress.

love, careen.

Victorian Hairdo

good hair days.

not today though. had a series of weird dreams, woke up throat still as bad, hair desperate for treatment, and therefore it is now soaked in hair treatment product.

the reason for hair treatment is simple. my crowning glory has undergone a series of hard labour. backcombing, spray, curls, pin-ups, etc etc from Sunday's Hair Ministry Hairshow and Monday's photoshoot for Sisters Magazine.
this is what i find funny.

on Sunday right after the Hairshow, boon immediately sent me to wash my hair. but due to the HUGE victorian hairdo (pictures below), i needed more manpower than anybody else.

one.

two.

three.

haha no wonder they had to charge me more than usual..
i took away three of their stylists' time'!

and no one has been rougher with my hair than the super swift, but also super rough hair stylist for Sisters Mag shoot :( :(

no pics from the shoot cos i left my cam at home.
but pics of the hairshow!

the Victorian Hairdo.

huge! now you know why i needed 3 stylists
to help me un-backcomb, remove pins, and comb my hair.

super nice!

it could act as my pillow too ;)

i have never worn that skirt before!
always can't find the right time to wear it.

*muax*
*sniff sniff cough cough*
blame the weather! need lots of rest :(
till then!

this is the second time i encounter crap like this, and it truly sickens me!

intimate relationship for 1-2 hours for ONLY RM150? how more degrading can it get??

that's why girls, be careful. sick and stupid human beings are all around.

PC Fair + Semi-Deafness

PIKOM PC Fair 09
31st July- 2nd August

taken by baby. how brilliant. his unshakable hand :)

those were the few days which i gained some experiences, extra cash, and also extra strain on my health. i had bad throat inflammation, remember? and that was when all the rest came tagging along- cold and all, and also the new kid on the block- ear pressure.

let me explain further.

using Careepedia (which only applies to Careen Tan Xin Yi alone):

The Ear Pressure Symptom is caused by throat inflammation. The heat in the body gets too overwhelming and has to be let out through either one of the "exits" or "holes" in the body. And it is then let out through the left ear. But, it is not let-out immediately. It could take up to 2-weeks, 2-months, or even 2-years (okay, let's hope not).

So while the heat is still in the body and the pressure is ON, the left ear is semi-deaf. It is just as when you get off the plane and you get pressures on your ears. But this is just the left ear. It is not similar to that of the plane-pressure which lasts not more than 3-weeks usually. The difference is that this ear pressure is coupled with sharp constant pain, beat-throbbing (i could hear my heartbeat in my left ear for a week now), and semi-deafness as i mentioned.

So, you can imagine how fun it was working in Hall 1 with thousands and thousands rubbing shoulders, arms, boobs (??? don't know, too distracted by the Ear Pressure), butt (??? hope not...), with people sneezing and couging in your face.

Also, not forgetting the constant noise pollution. Hall 1 was not carpetted like the Ballroom so it was much noisier, and crowded, and everything worse. Except for the fact that it was not as freezing cold like in the Ballroom.

Until now, i'm still semi-deaf. slowly but surely recoveing. Till then, do speak a little louder to me and be lovingly patient if i'm unable to answer your questions properly.

e.g.:

You: Eh Careen, how are you??
Me: I'm 20 years old :D
You: =.="

Boon: I love you....
Me: Huh???? What??
Boon: =.="

Lecturer: When i talk in the front, nobody else is allowed to talk.
Me: Excuse me, miss, can you repeat what you just said??
Leturer: =.="

hmmmm......please don't despise me bcos of my semi-deafness :(
please be patient and loving :(

now i definitely know how my ah-gong felt last time. it was always irritating having to repeat every single thing we say to him even when it was at the loudest volume. but can't hear means can't hear la...not nice to not being able to hear.

especially when you're sampat like me who likes to talk and listen to gossips. muahahahahaa :P now eavesdropping is definitely out of my radar, so, no fear, everybody.

oh right, this post is supposed to be about PC Fair.
hahahaha long story short, if not for the money, i would have long given up the job at the first hour. throughout the 3 days, i was this close to fainting (which many girls did).

But i managed to complete it..thanks to my parents' love & of course,
my personal body guard who protected me from all danger and harm :)

during my break.

on the way home.

it's sweet when you help me take off my stinky killer heels and help me put on my Roxy Flipflops whenever we go for my break. thanks for feeding me with so much good food though they're making me who i am today- fat. thanks for all the hard-sayangs. thanks for all the waiting and waiting and doing-nothings. thanks for all the cheering up and cheering on.

love you. couldn't have done it without you :)

there were almost 30 photographers who took my photos,
and poor me only managed to get ONE miserable, tired looking photo out of the lot. hahhaha so here's one for you.

i hate that green.

anyways, catching some beauty sleep.
g'nights and *group hug*

love, careen.

The inflammation

here it is again- the legendary throat inflammation.

since i was little, i've been having very sensitive throat. and once i get throat inflammation, that's it. the rest will start pouring in- fever, flu, and the whole sick cycle will come around again.

yesterday i woke up with a sore throat, and then my throat was inflammed. then it was followed by the sick-feeling (i bet you know what i'm talking about), and finally the ultimate one, fever.

had to struggle to finish my test articles for a part-time writer job i'm applying for. struggled and managed to finish one yesterday, two more to go for today.

the sucky part is that i can't even think like how i normally do. that explains why my blog post is so different today. no sampat stuff, no camho pics (totally no mood for that, strangely). let alone think creatively.

woke up today and thought i'd feel a least bit better, but nope i didn't. it felt as if a hadn't taken med at all..it is still the same sick feeling i felt yesterday.

let's hope this will not go on and develop into some swine-related disease. and wish me all the best and hopefully the writer-company will be able to understand what i'm writing to them.

love, careen.

period pain...........

a random candid shot taken by the bf.
was suffering from severe cramp and just had to lie down on the seats in Rakuzen to ease the pain a little.

i couldn't even really put myself to enjoy my favourite Salmon Sashimi.

sometimes, being a girl is not such a bliss.
the kinda pain most of us go through every month will be something that the male species will never be able to understand. it's times like these that makes you wanna just stay at home and do nothing. lie on the bed and get emo...

this is the second time i'm blogging about this cruel, constant pain. some of you would paobably think that period pain is nothing compared to labour pain but it has got nothing to do with me yet so period pain is still the joy-killer. sigh...it puts me in such a bad mood.

just makes me feel so lifeless each time. having the day off today, thought i could take some time off uploading pics and videos onto facebook, blog, blog-hop, surf the net, but turns out,

i think i'm falling sick :(

feeling cold all of a sudden. coughing all of a sudden.
and how can we forget, the constant cramp in the stomach.

i wanna rest and take a nap, but another part of me says that i should make use of my time,
since i have some in my hands right now.

somehow, i just can't seem to get myself to lie down and rest.

sigh. why??
