'Someday' by Justin Bieber

It's a new song by Justin Bieber!
No, kidding. It's a new fragrance by Bieber. For girls. And their moms.

I've never been a fan of Bieber, and nope, not here to attack him. For this new soon-to-be-launched fragrance called 'Someday' by Bieber, I put aside all my dislikes towards him (not hatred okay. there's a fine line...), and watched the ad purely on a neutral mode.

I find that there's a problem with this ad.

Is it just me, or does this video feel extremely paedophilic?
I can't help but feel a little grossed out when Biebs flied around with a girl who looks my age. Or maybe older. And the whole hugging and smiling sheepishly while twisting around in the air thing, I don't get it! Don't get me started on him lying against her bosom and looking comfortable. And excited.

Sorry, am taught to analyse ads in class so forgive me if I over-describe or, analyse.
But I really don't get the concept.

Beliebers, please don't attack me. This is my personal feeling and opinion as I watched the ad. I respect your decision for loving Bieber, and you should respect me for my standpoint too *peace* :) Let's just be neutral here, aight?

But guys, honestly, am I the only one who feels a little grossed out about this ad?

Honestly?

Heart on sleeves at quarter after one.

Hello there :)

Just finished an assignment rush the entire last week. It was a mad rush.

Lack of sleep- skin deteriorate, weight loss. Hey, the latter doesn't sound too bad, does it? ;)

Had to deal with possibly one of the most fun yet tedious subject for me- SOUND. Sound is SO technical. Gotta kowtow to all the sound engineers out there.

Editing became fun once I knew how to go about it :) The problem was the quality of my sound recording. How do you deal with static sounds and 'air' sounds?? It's annoying.

Anyway, it's done and over with :)
More major assignments ahead but for now, let's just take a breather, shall we? :)

Appreciate it when photographers make the effort to make me look pretty in pictures.
Love the whole feel of the photo :)

God has been great to me.

So many blessings and opportunities keep pouring in, til I have no time to pick everything up. It feels surreal that He really answers my prayers and helps me fulfil my goals each time. He never fails :)

It's been less than 2 years since I stepped into freelance modelling, emcee-ing, as well as commercial shooting only since beginning of this year. Seeing how far I've come, I only have God to thank...for bringing me to the right people, the right friends, the right agents and clients, the right connections. It all just happened. Thinking about it all just, amazes me.

I'm not super successful or top at my field. But for the little time and effort put in due to the many other commitments I have in my hands, it just feels so natural and effortless that things just come by, without me having to strive for it.

If it's not God, then who?

Many think that it is not an industry safe to step into. It could be, but in my experience, it really depends on how far you're willing to go/what you're willing to sacrifice to step up. If you want it bad enough, you'll give in and compromise. So, it depends, really.

But to me, this is honestly just momentary. I'm enjoying every single bit of it. I love my job, but I don't intend to dwell here forever. Have got long term plans which excites me each time I think about it :) Thus, I'm not willing to work so hard for things. I already have everything in place. I have the love of my life, my beautiful family, my wonderful church.

Why sacrifice? Why jeopardise?
Knowing the industry especially in Msia. Uh uh, it's not worth it.

Which explains why others are at the top while I'm not. I just don't see the point of giving so much and pushing so hard. This is not what I want to do for life, and I'm not desperate for the money. I'm content being the girl who is picky with her jobs ;) Yes, I'm boring like that.

Crossroads in life.
Family or career?

I don't know why but it's becoming clearer to me everyday :)

Perhaps.

Finding love on Facebook?

Read this msg this morning after only two hours of sleep and didn't have much thoughts about it. But now that I re-read it after my superb nap, I really don't know what to say about this.

In case you can't read it from the screen shot:

Am not your average guy..am honest, lousy at lying, very faithful, prudent, does not have much time out of work to waste on unnecessary activities. I'm okay with my other half doing what she wants provided she understands there is a limit the freedom. I'll always be behind her on what she does, helping her along the way everything she wants.

I may not be the one in anyone's life at the moment but I'm hoping to find one soon I guess. I may be young, but its better to try it now than never! Looking for something long term, a short term thing.

And yourself? P.S. I'm crappy with words so I'd rather have action speak for itself. Let me take you out for dinner, a stroll by the beach and then let's see if you want to take things further. If you're okay with it, add me on MSN at *** (at) h0tm4il (dot) c0m. Hopefully it doesn't just end there.

Before I end, let me quote a verse from a song:

And how can you mend a broken heart?
How can you stop the rain from falling down?
How can you stop the sun from shining?
What makes the world go round?

I'll help do all that, shelter you from the rain, elements and make the world go round for you if you let me have a chance to do so.

I wonder how long he took to write this piece of love proposal/"template" to send it to every girl who happens to catch his attention.

And he doesn't know how to use numbers? Even his email and phone number are all in words. Want us to "figure" out his email and phone number? Yucks.

I don't know what to say about this. Only one thing:

Guys, this is NOT the way to get to know a girl.

I blocked him.

What will I be?

Lied wide awake all night just thinking about my future.

I couldn't sleep. As much as I told my myself to stop thinking and start snoozing, I was actually happily relenting, allowing my mind to wander, and dream, and roam free.

I felt so sure about what I wanted to do...for the first time. Started to visualise and I felt excited. Felt so confident about my choice that it scared me. Doesn't happen usually as I'm always weighing the pros and cons, that up until now I still cannot make up my mind.

But when I woke up this morning into bright daylight, into reality, doubts started to sink in again. I started to be unsure and afraid. Feeling unable to measure up, doubting if I'm cut out for it.

When will I ever be sure?
When will I ever know?

But Daddy, you've been faithfully giving me opportunities to 'test-run' my ambition.

Guess I'll know after all is said and done :)

Thank God for you, you and yes, you.

Reflections.

Dear Father,

Thanks for always reminding me to cherish the beautiful things in life.
Thanks for slowing me down when I accelerate on the journey of life.
Thanks for always reassuring me, whether it's by your Word or through your people.
Thanks for always protecting me, blessing me, and loving me unconditionally.

I really have nothing to complain about. My life's beautiful.

I have a great Father in heaven who is da' man...always there to welcome me back to His arms.

I have great parents who work so hard to give us a good life, always sacrificial and tolerant with our behaviour, always there to listen and comfort and love, always supportive and believing in us.

Mum & sis.

I have great sisters (of all ages!). They teach me how to lead, how to guide, how to be patient (oh yeahhh), how to love, how to pamper, how to be a sister.

My sisters love the fish eye function :)

Evangeline is a little aunty!

In her cool LV-looking transparent pink bag:
Diaper, a pair of clothes in case of emergency, and a milk bottle.

She brings it with her WHEREVER she goes. And she takes good care of it :)

I have a great boyfriend.
Selfless, supportive, faithful, sacrificial, generous.

Gladys ALWAYS has to be in the lemonlight......

He is truly one of the greatest hearts I've ever met. He's genuine, real, and he always seems to have everything put together. He's funny, humorous, isn't afraid to show his true self (sometimes too much i.e.: farting *ahem*) or to be embarrassed.

He's a genius, smart, brilliant. I can count on him for anything (especially when it comes to settling bills and stuff. maths is so not my thang!).

I feel so safe being with him. I feel so loved being with him :) <3
Thank God for sending him into my life...

I thank God for placing me in a wonderful church.

More than being the coolest and most happening church ever, it has become my second home. Spent the past 4 years there and I never regretted at all. I've become happier.

It's a place where I encounter God, where I grow spiritually, where I learn how to be a better individual week in, week out.

It's where I realise my passion, unleash my talents, increase in creativity & capacity to serve God and people, have the faith to step out of my comfort zone to do the things that I never thought I could achieve. I am where I am today because of City Harvest Church KL.

It's where I come back to God again, and again, and again.
It's where I will get married at and grow old at. A place where my own family will find refuge in the future.

That of course includes my cell group, subzone members, church friends and leaders. They make church life wonderful.

As well as friends outside church, working friends, extended family, and many more. I thank God for each and every one of you. (yes, all of you come across my mind as i'm writing this)

Don't be scared okay, I'm not plannin to commit suicide after I write this post. Just realised it sounds like a suicide note. Hahahaha I just thought, it is never be too late giving thanks and telling people around me that I love and appreciate them :)

If anything unexpected happens, at least you know that I truly love you :) This is my temporary home, and therefore, I'm not scared to go. Because I know that there's eternity beyond this life. But in the meantime, I'm enjoying every single bit on this earth.

As I grow older (and wiser? hehehe), I look at life from both sides now (wah sounds like the song). I'm aware of the ugliness of politics, the unfairness of this world, discrimination, poverty, conformity of life, death, and just how fragile life is.

I choose not to be ignorant, yet and at the same time, I choose to be positive. I choose to see the beauty in people and things, I choose to be happy, I choose to give, I choose to love, I choose to smile, I choose to laugh out loud. That might explain why I behave like a crazy girl sometimes.

On a random note, thank God for all the GOOD FOOD on earth! As well as the people who prepares them. Cooking is an art I've yet to master...yet la yet. Soon la yeah soon :P

Finally had my favourite green tea ice cream last night!

Dome's mushroom soup for RM15++.

Is it worth? Well, for the HUGE portion, yes.
But a tad too salty?

Lazy to go find more pics of good food I consumed in my lifetime..sleepy already :P

In a nutshell, I love this life that God has blessed me with.
All the things, and all the people. I'm thankful for all of you :)

Korean dramas: Not for the busy

Korean dramas.
Oh, how they are known for being so overly dramatic, sad and emo.

I was feeling all happy and concentrating playing my Zuma Blitz in the cool morning breeze when suddenly the sad theme song of Stairway to Heaven played on TV, I could immediately feel my heart sink, and my mind was immediately distracted.

My whole system just slowed down all of a sudden. My fingers moved slower, and I found it tougher to concentrate on my game.

Mum and sisters have been following Stairway to Heaven on TV every single morning, and I'd be in the living room catching glimpses of it whenever I rest from playing Zuma :D

I have always silently believed that busy people shouldn't watch Korean Dramas. Simply because:

No. 1) Korean dramas take forever to unravel their stories.

An episode a day is never enough. There will be something towards the end of the episode that keeps you wanting for more. Then you'll end up watching a few more episodes when you're supposed to be completing the important & urgent tasks awaiting you, or sleep to wake up early the next day. It ruins your to-do-list and delays all your plans!

No. 2) Korean dramas have a way to mess with your heart & emotions

You feel all happy and ready to do whatever you need to do for the day, e.g.: doing assignments. You have everything planned out in your head, what topic to choose, what to write and how to structure your essay. You want to just relax your mind a little after a long day in Uni, and watch just ONE episode of your favourite Korean Drama before going all out to complete your work. Gung ho!

But the moment you finish the episode, your body feels all weakly, and you find yourself lazing on the couch, eyes watering, pondering about why life is so sad sometimes, and wonder if it will ever happen to you. Then, you feel all demotivated to do anything. And you just want to sleep.

No.3) Korean dramas makes you feel sad & paranoid about life

Prolly one of the requirements to be a qualified Korean drama actor is the ability to cry pitifully. The actors and actresses can cry like nobody's business man! Seriously, if you want break away from your happy & perfect life, and just want to get in touch with your emotions or explore the darker side of life, watch Korean dramas. There will be someone crying in each episode, especially towards the end. And they have the ability to somehow make you cry. Somehow or rather. It's like a spell.

And you'll start to doubt if life is as happy as it seems. You'll start to be paranoid about life, wondering when that plague is gonna hit you. Maybe there's something wrong with your life being so happy all the time, and maybe, that sad, tragic event will happen soon, and you'll start to be on the look-out for it.

Maybe...I'm adopted?
Maybe...I have cancer?
Maybe...I have a tumour?
Maybe...my evil sister IS my evil stepsister?
Maybe...my increasing eyesight power indicates that I might turn blind one day?
Maybe...my boyfriend is my biological brother. (!!)
Maybe...my biological brother who loves me isn't my biological brother after all. If that's the case, maybe we have a shot of being together!

Okay I may have sounded a little dramatic myself, but I'm only speaking from experience and observation. Korean dramas are nice to watch if you have nothing important to rush for or think about. Perfect for students on holidays and stay-home mums (like my mum).

Some of the emo Korean dramas I used to adore when I was 12.

Winter Sonata

The lead actress is beautiful. Which makes all the girls wonder why she can be so beautiful even when she's eating and crying. Very beautiful sceneries but I found it to be a little boring. And the lead guys looks gay.

Autumn in My Heart

I can cry watching every episode of it. This has got to be my all-time favourite. Though I really won't watch it again cos it makes me feel sad about life.

And my favourite Korean actor, Won Bin (on far left) is perfect. One of the reasons I loved Autumn in my Heart. Or maybe he IS the reason? :P

And here are some of the less dramatic and sad Korean dramas. These are the ones that won't make you feel miserable, but instead entertain you. But they still make you addicted and day-dream about the story so it's still not good to watch if you're a busy person!

Full House

I can't really remember the story, but I know I really enjoyed this one cos it's not the typical sad and dramatic series. Plus, it's Rain! He's cute :) And the girl's my favourite Korean actress...so super pretty!

She can look pure & angelic.

Cute & playful.

As well as hot and sexy. So chunted!

My Love Patzzi

I also cannot really remember the story for this one, but I know it was funny & really cute. Love the lead actress...she's cute as a furball!

I may have sounded like a total anti-Korean drama, but I really am not. I used to love Korean dramas so super much that I'd feel miserable and feel like life's lost its meaning if I missed one episode of it (back then we had to catch em only on TV).

But now that it's been a whole 10 years or so since I crazed about em', things are different now. It starts to irritate me with the fact that Korean dramas are draggy & slow (wasting time), and so unrealistically tragic.

Korean drama lovers, please don't hate me! Hahahaha :P
But but but, you gotta agree with me somehow? right? right?? RIGHT?!

Okie time for more ZUMA!

First Movie of 2011: Tron

Hey, human beans! <3
Sometimes I wish I have a room like this.
So classic & princess-y...but I bet the bf would never live in this kinda room! Hahah!

I had a great Sunday! It would have been perfect if I didn't decide to watch Tron.

Looked forward to it pretty much due to all the good reviews. But sadly, as much as I wanted to enjoy it, I didn't. It was pretty boring to me.

The front part was still okay, but once Sam entered into the tech world, it all became flat and boring. The whole movie was so slow, my gosh! And don't even get me started on how bad the acting was, and especially how the movie ended.

Bad plot, no climax. Like, wassup guys???

My first movie of 2011 some more. Disappointed max.

If the actors were good-looking, at least it could have made up for a bad movie. But the actors were so so only..

Nope, definitely not Clu...

Sam was okay. But he's inconsistent. Cute at one time, funny looking the next. Dunno la...confusing...

Looks pretty cute in this pic.

And he looked horrible here. Like, wassup guys??

I think the only thing that kept me attracted were the gorgeous babes in the movie.

No one can deny just how stunning they were man! Their eyes and face bone structure, and needless to say, super toned bodies in those skin-tight suits were NAIS!

Olivia Wilde as Quorra.

Exotic.

Beau Garrett.
She looked a lil like Fergie to me at first sight.

And these eye-candies only appeared like, 1/20 of the time throughout the movie. Well, it's a Disney movie afterall.

See...girls know how to appreciate beauty, and we do check girls out too okay? ;)

Oooh speaking of beauty, check this out!

Check out these gorgeous heels....super drool worthy. And guess what, it's gonna be mine soon! Wheeee!!! :D

After lookin at heels from Très Tréssors, it will give you 3 things:

No. 1) Your heart will naturally beat twice as fast.

No. 2) You'll start to be picky with shoes from other brands cos they're either not nice enough, or not high enough.

No. 3) It will attract your attention, and leave you with an unquenchable desire to buy the heels. You will find yourself feeling unsettled and day-dreaming about lookin' hot in those heels multiple times a day.

But hooray cos I'll be gettin mine real soon! Will be gladly day-dreaming til the day I wear em on. Woooots!

Wookie sleep tight y'all!
Kick the Monday blues awayyy!
love, careen.
