Injury Report, Banana Day and I'm a Big Deal On Twitter...
So here's the blogger injury report...
Matt-Man is still in the hospital as of this writing. He has pneumonia (I think that George W. Bush spelled it "newmonia" in his ecard to Matt). Hopefully he will be getting out of the hospital soon so he can start getting better.
Although he might not want to leave that nurse that looks like Jennifer Love Hewitt. Totally understandable. And why does Matt-Man get Jennifer love Hewitt look-alikes for nurses? You know I would get some crazy psycho chick who thinks Dr. Mengele was a old softy.
Also as of this writing Starr's kidlet is in the hospital. Hope she is doing better and is home fast too.
And, Anndi's Chicklet has been sick all week too. Poor kid! Don't worry though, we have enough good thoughts and prayers for her too.
And Bubblewench's husband was just diagnosed with Testicular Cancer a couple of days ago and will be going in for surgery soon. So, let's take some of those good thoughts and prayers that we were giving to Matt-Man and send them his way. Oh I'm kidding. There's still enough to go around.
And finally condolences go out to Mimi whose father passed away. I'm very sorry for your loss.
So, it's been a bad week here in the bloggerhood. Let's all take care of ourselves and Jesus, go hug someone and tell them to take care of themselves too.

Wednesday is Banana Day…
Me at the grocer store this morning: “Man, it’s busy here today.”
Clerk: “It’s Banana Day.”
Me: “What?”
Clerk: “We get a shipment of bananas on Wednesdays. We’re always busy on Wednesday morning. Tuesdays are really slow because everyone figures they’ll just wait another day until we have new bananas.”
Me: “Okay, good to know.”
--
Aaaaaaaaand, apparently I have arrived on the Twitter scene in a big way.
A couple of days ago the one and only Spencer Pratt began following me. Yes, me! And it's really him cause it's a verified account. Well, not long after that, Spencer's beautiful bride, Heidi Montag began following my friend Kim. Needless to say I was more than a little disappointed that Heidi wasn't following me too.
Anyway, on Tuesday Kim tweeted that she needed music recommendations for her long drive to Chicago next month when she moves there. Being the helpful kind of guy I am, I recommended some Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus and pointed out that Heidi Montag had a new single out. You can hear it HERE.
A while later this little bit of magic appeared on Twitter...

That's right bitches. Heidi Montag not only started following me, but she re-tweeted me! This is big. Trust me on this.
Well, I thought it just couldn't get any better than that, but I was wrong. Oh hell yes was I wrong! Check out what I saw about an hour later....

Yup, THE Miley Cyrus replied to me. Now I know that there was a big deal about how Miley quit Twitter, but it's very possible that she has returned and this is her new account. You know Billy Ray was wanting her to return to Twitter. So, I'm just going to believe that it was the REAL Miley that replied to me. She's just sweet enough of a person to do that too.
Oh and then a few minutes later Miley started following me also.
So, I'm now being followed on Twitter by Britney Spears, Spencer Pratt, Heidi Montag and Miley Cyrus.
Please don't be jealous. Not everyone can be as cool as me.
Also, the WWC words for next week are "Fair" and "Night Life."

Mafia Hits and #1stdraftmovielines ...
First it's birthday time! Wednesday was Farmers*Wife's birthday. So head over to Glass Half Full Gal and wish her a happy happy birthday! Also, while you are there, check out some of the cool giveaways she does. You might find something you really need or want!
Now, a little PSA for everyone out there. This isn't anything personal, and I'm not trying to hurt anyone's feelings but ...
*Looks very sternly over the top of his reading glasses at everyone*
(I don't really need reading glasses, I just wear them as a prop at times like this when I need to look serious.)
Far be it from me to tell you what you can and can't do on Twitter. It's your life. If you want to play Mafia Wars or Spy Shit or whatever on there, feel free. But ... and this is a big but ... if you play those games, and I get 19 updates about your Mafia activities in 12 minutes cluttering up my Twitter Page/Twitter Gadget/TweetGrid, I WILL unfollow your ass. I don't care how much I love you, or how hot that ass is.
I don’t make idle threats here either people. If I click on one of my Twitter apps and it’s full of updates about someone’s Mafia activities, I won’t send my consigliere, Karen out to talk to you. I won’t leave a dead horse’s head in your bed. I won’t make you an offer you can’t refuse. I’ll just sneak into my list of followers during the cover of night. Pick up the completely untraceable .22 specially hidden there for me. Put two rounds in the head of whoever is spamming my Twitter feed causing them to fall face first into their plate of veal. Then I’ll drop the gun and walk out.
Go play Mafia Wars on Facebook where all your little updates won’t completely fill up my page please*. Kthxbai

Speaking of Twitter….
Some people on Twitter were playing a little game called #1stdraftmovielines. Basically you just change up a famous movie line a little bit as if maybe it was the first draft before they rewrote it to make it the great line that it was. I did a few and then decided not to play anymore cause I thought it would be a good blog post. So, here we go….
“We’re on a mission from the supreme being of our choice” – Blues Brothers.
“Here’s looking at you, young lady.” – Casablanca
“May karmic luck be with you.” – Star Wars
“I’m very upset and have had enough.” – Network
“Let’s make some money.” – Jerry Maguire
“You had me at ‘how YOU doin’?” – Jerry Maguire
*clears throat* “Um, excuse me, Adrian?” – Rocky
“I’m William Wallace. You can call me Billy.” – Braveheart
“I think he’s really alive!” – Young Frankenstein
“You may run like Mays, but you’re not a very good hitter.” – Major League.
“It’s not proper to be crying while playing baseball.” – A League of Their Own
“A man of my advanced age can’t be doing stuff like this.” – Lethal Weapon
“Fucking asshole.” – Johnny Dangerously
“We came, we saw, we captured it.” – Ghostbusters
“Mrs. Robinson. You’re trying to turn me on.” – The Graduate
“First rule of Fight Club: Turn in your official waivers that were signed by you, a witness and have been notarized and approved by our legal dept.” – Fight Club

Okay, that’s enough. You’ll have to figure out the real quotes. The person who gets the most wins …. Nothing!
*Did I totally sound like a really mean bad-ass ninja type who would sneak into your room at night and slit your throat while you sleep? Cause I’ve heard that chicks totally did guys like that. So I’m trying out a new image thingy here.

Spam and Near Misses ...
So I've had a pretty busy day. I discovered this morning that my Tweets on Twitter weren't showing up in twitter search. The reason this is a problem is because that means that they won't show up in any application that any one of my friends use that relies on twitter search. Like Tweetgrid. Which is what I use.
So, I found out how to contact Twitter to submit my little report. They responded to me through a reply that sent me to a page where I was told how to check to see if my account was available through search.
Umm... guys, if my account was available through search, I wouldn't have contacted you in the first place. But, fine, we'll play it your way. I did what they said and then submitted my report again. And then I replied to the dude through twitter that I had done so.
Then I got an email from them in which they claimed that my account had been flagged because I was a spammer! Me? A spammer? I'm a human being ... I AM NOTAN ANIMAL A SPAMMER!
So I emailed them back and informed them thatthey were full of shit I had in fact, done none of the things accused of. I had not made multiple duplicate posts. I had not posted ads. I had not posted any spam etc. etc. etc.
And then .... *crickets*
Nothing. No response. No fixing my account. Nothing.
So, I decided to be patient cause I'm all about being patient and shit.
I waited and waited. Sure, I occasionally posting a somewhat taunting tweet along the lines of "I'm still waiting for Twitter to make my account searchable again. I demand vindication"
Or
"I get swamped with porn spam followers all day long and Twitter accuses ME of a being a spammer?"
Nothing mean or anything that would endanger the delicate negotiations going on though.
Finally I decided that maybe the response to that email didn't go through. Maybe it's one of those "don't bother responding" type email addresses even though it was a REAL email address. So, I went back to the "help" page and submitted another report responding to theirvicious attacks on my character accusations of spamming. I told them that I didn't think any of these things could be done without my noticing. Or the people following me noticing. And told them that if my account was hacked and all this happened without anyone noticing that I changed my password as a precautionary measure this afternoon, so that should not be an issue.
And now? We wait. We wait for Twitter todo the right and decent thing make a final decision. I can always scrap my current account and make a new one and send follow requests to everyone again and start from scratch. But, I have more than 3,100 tweets on this one. That's a pretty decent number. I don't want to go back to zero. It's just like opening a new banking account. You don't want to go back to check #100. You don't get any respect with check #100. But with check #3,100 you do!
I'll keep you posted on this one.
Confrontation #2 was far more serious and put my physical well being in real danger.
I was driving along, minding my own business and listening to Galmet cause Grant the BunnyLord said to.

I was approaching an intersection and suddenly noticed a Chevy Impala was going to run the stop sign. I didn't have a stop sign so I wasn't slowing down while approaching the intersection. So, the dude in the Impala sees me and I see him.
I hit the breaks hard and turn hard to the right, turning onto the same street he was driving on. He hit his breaks and was turning to the left. I then quickly hit the gas and was able to get in front of him while he continued to break so he missed me. Whew! Close call. I really don't know how he missed me, but he did.
So I drove on down the hill a bit and turned right on the next road. I looked back and the guy was slowing down. So I stopped and got out of the car. When I did this he give me this look with both arms out like "What the hell?"
So I point to the stop sign up the hill and yell "Hey! Did you notice the stop sign!?!"
He looks in his rear view mirror and sees that he DID have the stop sign and then just starts to drive off.
Yeah, just drive off.
Well, he might have driven on home but he had to drive through a purple cloud made up of my very explicit thoughts concerning his not-so-impressive driving abilities.
It's a good thing he didn't get out of his car though. I would have hated it if he had kicked my ass.
But wait! That's not all!
After I got my sammiches at Subway, I was pulling out of the parking lot and there was this caddy coming toward me. So I let her go and then pulled out. That caddy then proceeded to blow right through the four-way stop intersection. Just drove right on through without even slowing down.
If I hadn't waited on that car, she probably would have slammed into me when I stopped. Another near miss!
Then, when I came to another intersection, I stopped and waited my turn. When I was my turn, some dude in a Firebird almost ran a stop sign there too!
After he finally stopped, he looked over at me and gave me one of those "Yo, dude" head nods.
So I flipped him off and yelled "GET OFF THE GAWD DAMN CELL AND PAY ATTENTION."
I just gave him a little wave and went on my way and went home and had my Italian BMT and resolved not to get out in public again for a loooooooong time.

Twitter, Celebrities and Party Rooms ...
For the longest time I resisted following a bunch of celebrities on Twitter. But, I’ve noticed that a lot of them actually are tweeting about things other than self-promotion. And many of them actually reply to their fans and people who ask them questions or whatever. Which is pretty cool actually.
So, I decided that since I needed to organize my Tweetgrid anyway, I would add a bunch of celebs to it. The cool thing about Tweetgrid is that I can add people to it without actually following them on Twitter. Which is kind of stalkerish now that I think about it. Good point. But, oh well.
Basically now Tweetgrid 1 is for all the “regular” people. Blog buddies, Blog Talk Radio buddies and the people I’ve “met” through Twitter. And, Tweetgrid 2 is for media, sports, politics, porn and celebs. Unfortunately Kobe Tai isn’t on Twitter.

Have I ever mentioned that I went to college with Koba Tai? Oh yeah, hundreds of times. I keep forgetting.
Anywho, where was I? The only “celebs” I’ve replied to on Twitter have been a couple of media people and sports media like Stephen A Smith and Bill Simmons. Stephen and Bill haven’t responded to me yet, but I’m sure they will sometime. The rest of the real celebrities I haven’t replied to. Except I did ReTweet something from Alyssa Milano. She’s cool. She tweets about baseball a lot.
And it’s totally okay for me to find Alyssa hot cause I’m only four years older than her. So I wasn’t an adult when she was growing up and, um, developing on “Who’s the Boss.” Unfortunately I can’t say the same thing for Jennifer Love Hewitt and Lacey Chabert cause they were still just kids and I was already 26 when “Party of Five” started. So it always makes me feel dirty when I think of them as hot. A feeling that you probably know I enjoy. Neve Campbell is okay though, she’s Allysa’s age.
Okay, I think I got off topic for a bit there.
So basically that’s how I spent my Friday night. Refining my Tweetgrid, monitoring Facebook for status updates, watching NBA playoffs and exchanging emails with a women who was in the early stages of labor.
And you thought I had no life.
Oh, I did want to mention that I added Lily Allen to my Tweetgrid.

That’s not really important for you to know, I just wanted Karen to roll her eyes at me. Don’t deny it Karen, you know you did! Hehe
Karen is awesome. We pretty much disagree on every single thing. Politics to sports to celebrities to TV shows to whatever. We are on the opposite side of almost everything. I wonder if we lived in the same place we would end up in screaming matches over this stuff. Probably, but since we in the bloggerhood we don’t argue. Much. Hehe
So anyway, it’s now Saturday morning when I’m typing this up. I’m trying to get ahead on some blog posts and not find myself sitting here, staring at the computer screen trying to come up with something to post each night.
While I’m typing this I’m watching this new show on HGTV called “Man Land.” Basically it’s a show where they show off different “man caves” that guys have set up in their homes. Some of them are pretty cool too. Maybe not as cool as Matt-Man’s seasonal holiday tree and Chinese lanterns, but still pretty cool.
I don’t know what I would do if I could build a man cave. Or had enough room here to create one. I think it would probably be full of cardboard standees of Princess Leia and Queen Amidala. And maybe some Rat Pack posters on the wall. And maybe a few action figures around. A poker table would be okay, but I don’t really know how to play poker. Unless someone wants to teach me? But, a blackjack table would be cool. I do enjoy playing blackjack. And a pool table. I’ve always wanted a pool table. And if you’re going to have all that stuff there needs to be a bar. A stocked bar. With some tequila, bourbon, Scotch, gin, vodka, brandy, various mixes and beer. Lots of beer. Maybe a keg so I could have beer on tap for anyone who came over to hang out and watch the game or Gilmore Girls. Which reminds me. A HUGE LCD HDTV would be mandatory too. And what the hell. A stripper pole too. And maybe a smog machine. Oh and a pizza oven. And a microwave for the popcorn.
I don’t really know how I got from celebrities on twitter to man caves and party rooms, but oh well. What would be in your party room?
--
I almost forgot Mellow Yellow Monday again. It is hosted by the lovely and talented Drowsey Monkey as always.
These are the yummiest potato chips EVER!

I almost forgot Mellow Yellow Monday again. It is hosted by the lovely and talented Drowsey Monkey as always.

This and That for Monday ...
Before we get started today my friend Ne’s father passed away on Sunday morning. If you take a few minutes out of your day to send some prayers and well wishes to her I’m sure she would greatly appreaciate them. You can vaster her blog
HERE. (Link opens in a new window or tab.)

So, as many of you know Schmoopalicious has taken over for Matt-Man on his blog a couple of days a week. Matt-Man tried to claim this was because he is “busy” doing some other stuff. Needless to say, I was a bit skeptical about this claim. Then, I saw this headline right here …

Yeah, just as a thought. “Busy” dealing with legal problems tied to his stalking of Tyra Banks.
--
A lot of cities and towns across the country canceled or postponed their Cinco de Mayo Celebrations because of theBacon Flu Swine Flu (and NO, I will NOT use H1N1 Virus in place of “Swine Flu” just because the pork producers threw a hissy fit over the use of the word “swine”). I guess this does make sense. I mean, since the Swine Flu might have originated in Mexico, we probably shouldn’t celebrate a Mexican holiday or anything.
You know, with the exception of Joe Biden going “Joe Biden” on the Today Show the other day, most local, state and fed gov’t actions have been pretty good in this Swine Flu thingy. The media? Not so much. If there is any huge panic going on over the Swine Flu then it’s mostly due to the media literally screaming about the thing non-stop.
And, I think I’m most surprised and impressed with response of the Mexican government. For what is primarily a third world country, they were very open about the outbreak, notified the CDC and sent samples to a lab in Canada pretty quickly. If you remember a few years ago during the big SARS outbreak, while the world was trying to figure out what was going on, China was standing there with their hands in their pockets, staring at the sky and whistling.
I don’t think that there’s any real doubt that someday when the “Big One” really does hit, it’s going to come out of that part of the world. And while it spreads like wildfire, those governments are going to be more concerned with covering it up and pretending it isn’t happening than actually trying to stop it.
Not to be an alarmist about it or anything. ;-)

I know I’ve mentioned before that I don’t follow many celebrities on Twitter, but I do follow some of the bigger media celebrities. Like Jake Tapper, Joe Scarborough and a few others. I’m really amazed at what thin-skinned crybabies they are too. Seriously people, quit being such whiny-butts. If you can dish it out, you need to be able to take it.
Except for CBS White House correspondent Mark Knoller! Mark rocks! You know why? Cause Mark responded to me on Twitter ….
Here was my Tweet..

And his reply..

How cool is that? He was Tweeting that the Barack and Michelle Obama were had gone out to dinner at a restaurant in Georgetown and that the press pool was across the street. So I was asking him why they followed them to dinner and basically do the people have a right to know that they went to dinner and what they ate and shit.
So he explained that they have to go in case something happens. Which I guess is true, but still. Anyway a couple of them were kinda whining about having to be out there on Friday night and I thought that was silly. You work all your career to reach this point, one of the coolest, most prestigious, best paying and cushiest gigs in journalism and then bitch about the hours? A tad unseemly, if you ask me.
But Mark wasn’t one of the crybabies though.
And then he let us know that the Obama’s were perusing the dessert menu, so I tweeted this …

And he responded again …

So clearly Mark Knoller is officially the coolest media/journalist type on Twitter not named Ana Marie Cox …

Yeah, she kinda rocks. But, she’s never replied to me on Twitter. And if she ever happens upon this blog and reads it for like three minutes she probably never will. I’m just sayin’. But that’s okay. I mean, not really, but you know.
--
And then my Saturday ended with me getting this hand written message from someone over Ustream ….

Can you believe that?? I mean, seriously guys, do you think I would EVER do something to deserve that?
Yeah. You’re right. I probably did deserve it. ;-)
(Actually she was only joking around.)

Ganley closes his Twitter account to Friends Only this blogger claims the credit
After a few reports here on Libertas Nein Danke of Decaln Ganley's activities on Twitter Mr. Openness and transparency has set his account to private and now only his twitter Friends can see the his updates.
After a helpful (for once) comment from Libertas employee cookiemonster I note that it is just this blogger when signed in to NOTOLIBERTAS that can't see Declan Ganley's TWITs). I also note that Ganley has only twice the number of friends that sayNoTOLibertas has despite his millions. Cookie I am glad you read the blog every day.
This is another Victory for this blogger over Libertas forcing them to show their true colours.
Looking for
Transparency ?
Openness? democracy?
Then you certainly are not looking for Ganley's Libertas.

Mr. Openness and Transparency Declan Ganley blocks NoToLibertas from his Twitter feed and fails to do interview
For several weeks now this blogger has been in touch with Libertas HQ in Brussels where Anita Kelly was dealing with my request for an interview with the putative dictator aka scandal-plagued Declan Ganley.
My last update from Anita was on 16 Feb 2009
Libertas Communications 16 February 2009 16:00 To: peoplekorps@gmail.com
Dear pk
Since then Anita has not replied to my mails
such as
Alas Mr Transpanecy has chickened out and has gone so far as to block NoToLibertas from receiving his Twitter updates from today 16 march
So much for openness and transparency. This blogger has been asking questions about Mr. Ganley for some months now, Ganley having been given opportunities to answer those questions and to "be transparent" and "accountable" has decided to remain secretive, and unaccountable.
I was holding back some stories as I was affording Ganley an opportunity to give his right of reply. He has shunned that right and unless I hear from Libertas re the interview by Weds , (tomorrow being our national holiday St. Patrick's Day) I shall have to begin publishing in the public interest.

| Dear Anita, This Swedish story provides us with a unique opportunity for Declan to do the interview. As Libertas have not issued a general statement on this I would welcome a discussion with Declan at this time especially an exclusive. As your staunchest blogger critic I would entertain agreeing to ground rules for an email interview. 1/ I will send questions 2/ Declan will send answers 3/ I will send Declan any clarification questions 4/Declan will send answers 5/ All will be published verbatum. I trust that will satisfy any nervousness Declan may have doing this interview. Best Wishes PK | |

A New Twitter Toy ...
So I think I should take a moment to apologize to Kay for not ever getting around to doing my post on “Wrath” for her Seven Deadly Sins game/meme thingy. It’s kind of Kay’s fault though. Not that I would actually blame my not getting this done on her or anything like that. But, she did tell us that we had ALL WEEK to do our posts. If she had expected us to get these things done immediately after she posted hers, well, you never know. But, giving me a whole week meant that I would wait until Thursday night.
And, I totally intended to do that “Wrath” post tonight. But, things just went crazy. See, I was sitting in front of the computer, all ready to come up with my post when I decided I better check Twitter. I have to check Twitter every13 seconds few minutes to see what is up. Well, there was a “tweet” from Miss Britt about this thing called Tweet Grid. Being the curious sort of guy I am, I had to check this thing and out and see what it was.
What is Tweet Grid, you ask? Only the greatest freaking site ever created, that’s all! Or at least the greatest as of tonight. Basically it’s a place where I can organize all my Twitter Peeps that I’m following in to different, uh, sections and keep track of everyone from one place. This is what it looks like …

Okay, so it’s kind of hard to see there, but I think you get the idea. I have six boxes going and I have a different group of people I’m following in each box. You can have as many as nine, but I didn’t think I needed that many. Anyway, if you are following a large number of people and they are all pretty active, this is just the best way ever to keep up with all of them.
Yeah, I know there’s Tweetdeck out there, but that doesn’t work on my older Mac. So it’s of no use to me.
Needless to say I had to set it up immediately. And then play around with it while I was watching The Office and 30 Rock. Then after those shows I was going to go ahead and try to do a “Wrath” post, but nothing came to me immediately and I realized I was going to have to take some time on that one.
Then Ace of Cakes came on. You can’t possibly expect me to even think about “Wrath” while one of the happiest shows on TV is on! Then of course was Chelsea Lately. So that pretty much shot my posting plans all to hell.
Oh, speaking of Food Network, has anyone else been watching Chopped? Oh man, I love that show! If you like cooking shows, and competition shows you should totally check it out. It’s on Tuesdays and 10 PM Eastern.
So anyway, that why instead of getting a post about “Wrath” you instead got a post about Tweet Grid. Something that most of you have absolutely no idea what it is cause you don’t Twitter and you probably don’t give a shit about. Uh … sorry about that.
Anyhoodle, back to Kay’s Seven Deadly Sins mini-meme, I will have to catch up. On Monday I will be going with the “Gluttony” post (this week’s sin) and the I’ll come back to “Wrath” later next week. I know you can’t wait.
Also, I’ve got more than 100 blogs waiting in my Google Reader to catch up on. I kind of got behind on those thanks to Tweet Grid, Ace of Cakes, Chelsea Handler and UConn/Syracuse going SIX OVERTIMES last night.
And of course this morning I got roped into playing some flag football. I don’t know HOW anyone got me to agree to that …

Oh yea, that’s how.
Have a great weekend!

People Annoy Me ...
For some reason I got lots of spam mail this morning from websites that sell all kinds of pain medications at HUGE discounts. I really wonder what brought that on?
And, I also got this in my email today …

Awesome! It’s Summer’s Eve with Holy Water AND rosary included. Sweet. That stuff would probably take care of any and all problems anyone could have.
Before I forget, go over to Death Chic’s place and wish her a happy birthday! She’s my favorite libertarian in the history of the world. Actually, her birthday was on Thursday, which means I should have put this on yesterday’s post. Oops.
And then be sure to go over and wish Matt-Man a happy birthday too! His is Saturday. So, I’m not late for his.
So, this afternoon, right after One Life to Live was over, I was sitting here with my heating pad on my back, minding my own business, when I saw that I had an email from someone whose name I didn’t recognize. “Hmm” I thought to myself, “must be fan mail. Maybe even a boob pic!” Uh, not so much.
It was an email from a woman who apparently follows me on Twitter letting me know that she was none too happy with my twitter post this morning which she considers SPAM! For the record, the post that she was so upset about was actually a “re-tweet” for some people giving away free books. I figured “who doesn’t like the chance to win free shit?” So I “re-tweeted” their announcement so that people who may not be following them would have a chance at the book. This is how I received a free copy of The Book of Unholy Mischief last week.
Anyway, this lady considered that spam, and unacceptable. I thought about this for a minute and decided to send her an email explaining that lots of people liked free shit, and I didn’t think this rose to the definition of SPAM and people use Twitter for many different purposes and blah, blah, blah. Then as I sat there and reread my email I suddenly decided to delete that and send a different one …
“Dear _____,
Thank you for your email. But, I want to say that I don’t believe that re-tweeting an opportunity for a free book is really considered SPAM at all. Also, I just wanted to point that I don’t know who the fuck you are. I went through my list of followers on Twitter and found you, and discovered that I follow you too, but can’t for the life of me remember ever seeing any of your “tweets” or seeing you respond to any of mine.
I guess I’ve been to your blog, but apparently it wasn’t a very memorable experience because I don’t remember anything about it or you. And I guess maybe you’ve been to my blog and that is where you found the link to my Twitter page, but I’m pretty sure you didn’t leave a comment here either. So, the first time I ever have any contact with you, is an email in which you’re bitching about the opportunity to win a free book that I posted on Twitter.
So, I would just like to point out to you that you could click the fucking “follow” button under my name again and then you would “un-fucking-follow” me and then you would never be subjected to any opportunity to win a free fucking book again. That’s the fucking beauty of Twitter. Rather than taking the time to send a whiny, bitchy fucking email, you can just fucking unfollow people if you don’t fucking like them.
Have a nice day.
Jay
Man, I sure do get grumpy when my back hurts.

Love, Politics and Dreams ....
Shout Out:
Everybody go over and hop on The Big Leather Couch and congratulate Vinny and his darling Nancy! The Vinster popped the question over New Years andmuch to everyone’s surprise of course Nancy said YES!
So congrats to Vinny and Nancy! I drank a wee dram of Scotch in your honor tonight!

Politics:
So the State of Minnesota has declared Al Franken the winner of the U.S. Senate race there. Yes, this would be the election that was held way back in November of 2008. Now, I know that Norm Coleman, who lost (apparently) is going to file lawsuits over the recount. And, he may or may not have a legitimate complaint, I wouldn’t know. But, honestly if he feels that the election wasn’t fair, or the counting of the ballots didn’t follow the law, or if some voters were disenfranchised, then I say file the lawsuits. If I lived in Minnesota I wouldn’t have voted for either of those Lunkheads. I would have voted Libertarian or something like that.
But, assuming Coleman loses his lawsuits, and I’m betting he does, he will now have the distinction of LOSING statewide elections in Minnesota to both …
Jessie Ventura (Governor)

And Al Franken (U.S. Senate)

Dude … time to find a new career.

Hot Dreams:
So I found out by ready Drowsey Monkey yesterday that she had a dream about me the other night. This isn’t all that surprising. I’m sure babes have dreams about me all the time. Or at least I like to tell myself they do.
But, she said that we were both fully clothed in the dream. I found this to be a little disturbing. I’m not quite sure what we could have been doing. Having a meaningful and intelligent conversation? I’m sure she’s quite capable of that, but it isn’t really my thing.
Drowsey then told us on Twitter that she wasn’t even wearing a Princess Leia outfit! And worse than that I wasn’t waving my light saber around either.
Sorry I provided such a boring dream fro ya Drowsey. I’ll try to do better next time.
Anyway, I admit I have actually had some dreams that included other bloggers too. Drowsey thinks that it’s proof that she’s too obsessed with blogging. That might be true. But you know, now that I think about it, the dreams I’ve had that included other bloggers in them have been clean too. Weird huh?
Actually what happens is that everyone is terribly disappointed when they meet me. I kind of have a negative attitude like that.
So how bout you? Ever dream of your fellow bloggers?
Everybody go over and hop on The Big Leather Couch and congratulate Vinny and his darling Nancy! The Vinster popped the question over New Years and
So congrats to Vinny and Nancy!

Friday Randomness ...
First a PSA:
Everyone go over to Mrs. D’s blog and congratulate her and Mr. D! Mrs. D is going to have baby #2! Congrats!
So yeah, I kinda disappeared for a few days there. Mostly because I just had nothing to say. Kinda like now.
I was thinking of saying something about the election, but lots of people already have done so much more eloquently than I could. I mean, I guess I could give some fancy analysis about what it all means and how the results mean a lot less than some people on the left want to think they mean, and more than what some people on the right want them to mean, but what’s the point?
I will say though that early voting is the tits! Every single state should allow early voting. It makes things sooooo much better and so much more convenient for the voters. And making it easier to vote and giving people more chances to participate in the electoral process is a good thing. And if I was wondering whether or not I liked the early voting idea, when I saw Fred Barnes on Fox News yelling “This early voting has got to stop!” I knew early voting was good. Anything Fred is that opposed to is definitely good for America.
Okay, in fairness Fred’s biggest problem with early voting is that he was forced to vote along with a bunch of “poor” and “old” people that he clearly doesn’t like to be subjected to.

I wonder why it is that when I get a direct message from Twitter I get it on my email, but it doesn’t show up on my Twitter page? Strange.

Back to the election, Arkansas voters freaking spazzed out. The voters (not me, I voted NO) voted to ban not only gay adoption, but to ban ANY unmarried couple and single people from being foster parents. That’s just fucking stupid.
We also voted (again not me, I voted NO) to allow the General Assembly to meet in regular session EVERY YEAR instead of every other year as is the law now. WHYYYYYYYY? They do enough damage every two years as it is. Oh and how do they propose to pay for the expenses that go along with the General Assembly being in session every year?? Dumbasses.
Not to mention the stupid fucking water bonds issue.
I did vote YES on the Lottery, which also passed. Normally I vote NO on that, but this time it was a stand alone lottery bill and didn’t include local option for casino gambling. I’m not opposed to casino gambling, I’ve done my fair share of it in my day, I’m just opposed to casino gambling here in Arkansas.

Woo hoo! NFL on Thursday Night! What a country!

Since I didn’t do a fantasy football post this week I need to post a cheerleader pic today I guess. So, in honor of Moe Wanchuck over at the Palm Isle here are some cute Michigan State Cheerleaders …

Random Randomness and Stuff ....
- Someone from my alma mater has called me every single month for a full decade now asking me to donate to the business school. My perfect record of saying “no” remains intact after Tuesday night.
But, I do have to give them credit. No matter how many times I move and no matter how many times I change phone numbers, addresses and emails, they still track me down. If the CIA would put these people in charge of tracking down Osama bin Laden to ask him for donations to the Business School we would have that bastard in custody in about a month.
- I keep hearing people go on and on and on about InBev buying out Anheuser Busch and how terrible this is. But, personally I’m a little more concerned about Abu Dhabi buying the Chrysler building. At least Busch was bought out by a company that operates in a free and democratic country.
- As I mentioned on Twitter, I set up my new wireless adapter Tuesday. I actually got it to working in just a few minutes. No cussing or throwing anything at all. Amazing.
- I recently found the fan pages on Facebook. So, while a lot of people were joining the fan pages of really great causes such as UNICEF and The American Cancer Society and other organizations, I was joining the fan pages of The Hills, The Girls Next Door and The Gilmore Girls. Don’t judge me.
- Each of the last three mornings I have woken up lying on my left side with the light from my clock radio blinding me. This is weird because I almost never sleep on my left side. I start out on my back, then roll over onto my right side, then left side (and maybe back and forth anywhere from 2 to 7,188 times depending on how much trouble I have getting to sleep) and then finally onto my right side and sleep there.
I also haven’t had any memorable dreams the last three nights. Can I only dream if I’m lying on my right side?
- I’ve mentioned here before my absent-mindedness from time to time. Losing things that are actually in my hand, or get up and walk into another room and stand there not remembering what I went in there to get. Of course, the most infamous of these moments was when I put the left over mac & cheese into a container and then put the container back up into the cabinet instead of the fridge. It sat in that cabinet for at least a week too. Needless to say that got tossed without the lid coming off that bad boy.
Well, I’m also quite destructive and klutzy too. I tend to run into things that I know are there cause I they have been there for years. Not just chairs or tables, but door facings and even walls. I have the microwave in the pantry area cause there isn’t enough room for it on the counter. I was getting some yummy Sirloin Burger Soup out of it not too long ago and ran right into the wall with it and spilled it. I think I cussed a bit that time.
I also tend to knock things over and knock things off tables and counters. It would seem impossible for me to reach some of the things I knock off the counter when I walk by, but somehow I manage.
When I’m wearing a hat I ALWAYS hit the bill of the hat on the car when I’m getting into it and knock the hat sideways or clean off. Every. Single. Time.
I’ve dropped my camera ... TWICE! The second time would have really done damage had it not fallen on my foot rather than the pavement.
Just yesterday I pulled off two impressive moves.
1. Not long after setting up my new wireless adapter I had it sitting on my little Table Mate II that I keep my laptop on. When I pushed the table back and stood up to do something I knocked the wireless adapter off the table and watched it bounce around on the floor. No damage, luckily.
2. As I was emailing somebody last night I was just typing away and the little table was shaking like Pam and Tommy Lee’s bed on a Saturday night. The shaking knocked my water bottle off the table. For some reason I decided to try to “save” the bottle. When I reached for it I banged my forearm on the edge of the table, then instead of catching the bottle I batted it up in the air and it hit me in the forehead.
Bonus: The bottle was empty and the cap was on it, so there was no need to desperately try to “save” it.
