NEW ALPHA ROMEO

New Alfa Romeo. But it's also the world's fastest street legal Alfa Romeo. The Novitec Alfa Romeo 8C Spider ($TBA) is based on the tech behind the Maserati GT, with a supercharged 4.7L V8 pumping out 600 horses, good for a 0-62 time of 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 190 mph. Other features include an optional stainless steel sport exhaust, custom headlights, and three-piece NA3 wheels.
Yeah it's pretty cool.

PORSHE 911 GT3 RS

The Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 ($185,000). Limited to just 600 vehicles worldwide, the latest — and last — GT3 RS sports Stuttgart's highest-displacement, most-powerful naturally aspirated flat-six engine ever, which turns its 4.0L into 500 hp, a 0 to 60 time of 3.8 seconds, a 0 to 124 mark of under 12 seconds, and a top track speed of 193 mph. Other features include the signature large rear wing, central twin tailpipe, an aerodynamically optimized body, a gleaming Carrara White paint job, and a weight of just 2,998 lbs. ROLLS ROYCE GHOST

The latest addition to the Ghost lineup is 170mm, or about 6.7 inches, longer than the standard car, making it the perfect barge for those who want to be driven. If being chauffeured isn't your style, Rolls-Royce promises the Ghost Extended Wheelbase will be just as satisfying to drive as the smaller version, despite its added length and extra girth.

For people in the back, there's a new panoramic sunroof to bathe the interior in natural light, and plenty of room to stretch out and enjoy the view. The Rolls-Royce Ghost Extended Wheelbase will be sold in very limited numbers for the rest of 2011, with full production beginning in 2012. Price, naturally, goes unmentioned. Meaning if you have to ask about the price you probably can't afford it.

FASTEST 4 DOOR SEDAN PORSHE PANAMERA TURBO S

Porsche has rolled its new Panamera Turbo S into the Jacob Javits Center for the start of today's New York Auto Show, offering us our first live view of the new range-topping sedan. As we told you last month, the four-passenger Porsche boasts the same twin-turbocharged 4.8-liter V8 as the standard Cayenne Turbo model, but new turbochargers (with titanium–aluminum turbines) and some engine remapping bumps output to 550 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque. When the driver selects "Sport" or "Sport Plus" mode (the Sport Chrono package is standard), the ECU will allow overboost to 590 pound-feet of torque. With standard all-wheel drive, Porsche says the Panamera Turbo S will sprint to 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds (knowing Porsche, that's conservative) and deliver a terminal velocity of 190 mph.

This will get the kids to school on time.

A REALLY BIG BIG WHEEL

The geniuses at Parker Brothers Choppers decided to make a Green Machine for really big kids, complete with an 80-cubic inch Harley Davidson Evo engine. What, you wouldn't expect us to actually pedal a Bigwheel with a 45-inch front wheel, would you? Even better, it's still steered by a pair of levers that control the rear wheels, so all the tricks your evil nemesis friend did as a kid can now be done by you at 30 miles per hour. Heck, Jeff Halverson at Parker Brothers claims to have done 50 mph on the beast, so someone without a lot of fear can really do some damage on this thing.

Unfortunately, the whole steering-via-the-rear-wheels thing would make it really difficult for this trike to gain approval from the Department of Transportation, so don't expect to put an order in for one of these any time soon.
I think my son would like this.

WEDNESDAY WHEELS: THE NEW SAAB 93

Thanks to Magnus Hillerborn, Saab's Vehicle Validation Engineer, Autoblog can now confirm that a five-door is indeed headed into production along with the expected convertible variant. Interestingly enough, what isn't yet confirmed for the 2012 9-3 is a sedan bodystyle.
If this comes to life it will be hot.

The Maserati GranCabrio Sport ($TBA) sports a manly, more powerful and fuel-efficient version of Maserati’s all-alloy 4.7-litre V8, good for 450 horsepower and a top speed 177, along with the ZF six-speed automatic transmission, a revised version of the Skyhook active-suspension system, new grooved and drilled dual-cast brake discs, and more masculine bodywork

KOEINGSEGG AGERA NICE RIDE

 Koenigsegg Agera R ($TBA). Packing a 5.0L, biofuel-drinking twin-turbo V8, the Agera produces an extreme amount of horsepower — 1,115 hp, to be exact. Other ultra-severe features include a seven-speed, dual-clutch transmission, a carbon fiber monocoque so stiff that the roof is completely removable, Vortex Generating Rim (VGR) wheels sporting spokes that act as turbines to maximize downforce, and specially-made Michelins for keeping things under control at extreme speeds.
I can't pronounce this car but it's super cool.

NEW DROPTOP BENTLEY

Bentley is ready to celebrate with the Bentley Supersports Ice Speed Record Convertible ($TBA). Limited to just 100 cars worldwide, this beastly drop-top features a 6.0 L, twin turbo-charged W12 Flex Fuel engine that runs on either gasoline or E85 bio-ethanol or any combination of the two and is good for 631 hp. Paired with a Quickshift six-speed automatic transmission, the Continental can go from 0-60mph in 3.8 seconds and from 0-100 in just 9.5 seconds; other features include all-wheel drive, a new exhaust system, diamond-quilted Alcantara interior accents, an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a 30GB hard drive, and the ability to keep you warm even though your roof is made of fabric.

I got this one coming too.

The Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 ($TBA) is the latest from Sant'Agata Bolognese, and packs a new 6.5L V12 engine — good for 691 hp, a 0-60 time of 2.8 seconds, and an estimated top speed of 217 MPH — Launch Control for smooth take-offs, a seven-speed ISR Graziano transmission, a Formula 1-inspired suspension, a new all-wheel-drive system, oversized ceramic brakes, and a handy hydraulic lift to keep the beauty's body panels from being busted on on steep driveways or irritating speed bumps.

The Nissan GT-R Egoist ($TBA). Featuring the same 530 horsepower, 3.8-liter twin turbo V6 engine, a launch control system that sends the car from 0-60 in just 2.9 seconds, high intensity LED running lights, and lower center of gravity as the normal GT-R, the Egoist features a more luxurious interior of supple leather with carbon fiber accents and other goodies.

WEDNESDAY WHEELS: MCLAREN MP4-12C

It's not often a new car from a small(ish) manufacturer can run with the Ferraris, Porsches, and Lamborghinis of the world, but that's certainly the case with the McLaren MP4-12C($230,000). This spiritual successor to the legendary F1 uses a 592-horsepower 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 and a seven-speed twin-clutch gearbox to go from 0-60 in as little as 3.2 seconds, from 0-125 in 8.9 seconds, a Proactive chassis control system that allows for instant adjustment of the car's settings to match the situation, brake-steer technology borrowed from Formula 1, and other goodies that make it as beastly on the track as it is attention-grabbing off of it.

As you probably already know Green Bay Packers beat the Pittsburg steelers yesturday on Superbowl Sunday by a score of 31 to 25. I'm not going to write about the game because my team lost. Hey if you want to know more just google it.

Jay Leno takes us into his luxury and collectible auto garage to take a closer look at the Lamborghini Reventon. The car is number 7 of 20 in the world and will probably cost a little more than a small country.

Luther Campbell aka Uncle Luke, has announced he is going to run for Mayor of Miami-Dade County, Florida.

In an Interview with the Miami New Times, Campbell detailed why he wants to run.


I've thought about running for public office before, but someone would always end up talking me out of it, saying, "We have this good person here, he will do good for the community," so I always backed out. But I'd end up frustrated because they didn't do anything. I'd give them ideas and they would just tell me what they wanted to hear.
I get in my car, ride around Liberty City, and everything looks the same as when I was in the neighborhood growing up. I see the same crimes in the same areas. Officers and residents are still getting killed in the community I grew up in. I go to a city like Atlanta that has sensible affordable housing, and no one is being murdered. I go to Miami International Airport and see the same construction that has been going on for like a hundred years. All of that frustrates the hell out of me. Why aren't we getting it right in Miami-Dade? Why is our government only serving one set of people? That's what is pushing me to run

Audi Auto Union Type C E-Tron Study ($TBA). Inspired by Audi's classic racers and based on a limited-edition pedal car model, the rear wheel-drive Type C is powered by a small electric motor and a lithium-ion battery that propels one human — up to 5' 11" — at speeds of up to 18 mph, and as far as 15 miles. Sure, it's not a speedster by any means, but it's a much sportier way to get around the island than that golf cart you've been driving.  Why wasn't this out when I was young

NEW SUPERCAR: PAGANI HUAYRA

The brand new supercar from Italy looks pretty sexy except for the front fascia, we’ll probably get used to it. The car looks super low and has the cool gullwing doors that are normally found on Mercedes gullwing cars. Speaking of Mercedes, the Pagani Huayra will be powered by a twin-turbo 6.0 liter AMG V12 engine that is said to have over 700 horsepower and 740 pound-feet (1,000 Nm) of torque and can achieve a top speed of over 230 mph. Those are some pretty impressive numbers! The V12 engine will be mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and should do the 0 – 60 sprint in a very quick time. The Pagani Huayra makes use of a lot of carbon fiber and weighs around 2,900 pounds (1,315 kg).

The interior is very luxurious and flamboyant with miles of leather surfaces, polished bits and of course liberal use of carbon fiber. A lot of cows were sacrificed to provide the beautiful soft looking leather; their deaths will not go in vein. Stayed tuned for more information on the Pagani Huayra supercar.
