You.
Yes, you ;)

Been doing a lot of online shopping lately. Bags, tops after tops. Dresses I've been eyeing on and am still havin my eyes fixed on em'. Shoe sites I'm waiting to be updated. Countless!

I hardly shop offline anymore due to my day-to-day packed schedule. Juggling roles as a student while working part-time, family, church, bf, friends, etc., it is a no-wonder.

Shopping online has really made things much easier and convenient for me, and having a trusted site which is reliable and delivers well is really what makes me shop without worries.

One of the new sites that I came across lately is this!

It is Malaysia's premier member-only online shopping club which grants its members exclusive access to private sales of branded good at up to 80%.

Sounds a little too good to be true, so I signed up to see for myself. Having said that, love the fuss-free members registration procedure.

Eve's Apples Gives Bra Tips to Cosmopolitan Magazine

EXTRA! EXTRA!
READ ALL ABOUT 'GETTING YOUR IDEAL BRA'!

Now in the February 2011 issue of Cosmopolitan Magazine US (with Mila Kunis on the cover), Eve's Apples' bra expert gives shopping tips on getting your best bra in The A-Cup Revolution by Mina Azodi, Senior Editor at Cosmo. The top four shopping tips for small breasts are:

1. Try a Demi Cup
Bra
Demi Cups look great on women who have small busts, especially shallow breast tissue on top of the bust. Most women think they're small busted because they have shallow breast tissue. We love that Mina Azodi
highlighted the importance of breast tissue. Mina wrote that, "Small breasts are typically larger on top than on the bottom, so this low scooping style (demi cup) gives just the right amount of support where you need it."

2. Go Tighter

Most women are wearing a band size too big! "Eighty percent of your bra is held in place by the band (not the straps), so it should be a snug fit. A good rule of thumb: You should be able to fit only two fingers between the band and your skin."

3. Eyeball the Underwire
Red Flag: This is SO important because most women are wearing are bra cup that is too small. Most bra consultations I give people have issues with the underwire cutting into the breast tissue, making the bra cup pucker away from the breast, similar to doing a peek-a-boo affect. Most women think that the bra cup is too big. Untrue, the bra cup is too small!

"If you aren't filling out the bra, double-check that the underwire is framing your boobs, not cutting them off. Otherwise, you may need to go up a size for a wider cup."

4. Check Out Your Profile

Turn to your side and raise your arms above your head. If the back of the band moves up, it's too big. It should be even all the way around your torso. Still frustrated on getting a bra that fits like a dream?

Try our Online Bra Consultation! We'll give you personalized, detailed information about your bra size, breast shape, body type and bras recommended for you based upon your needs and wishes!

Stay tuned for Eve's Top 10 Tips in getting your ideal bra!

I Shopped. I Dropped.

Shopping Treats & Treasures
While in Cheyenne on our recent family mini-mini-mini vacay, I got to go a wee bit crazy & snag some fun purchases at favorite shops I've missed since moving to a small town...
I think I hyperventilated as I walked into Michael's, about passed out as I stepped foot into Barnes & Noble & let out squeals only a dog could hear when strolling down the aisles of Dollar Tree, Ross & TJMaxx.

If You Buy a Mouse a Cookie

For those of you who are parents I am sure that you are familiar with the Laura Joffe Numeroff book titled If You Give A Mouse A Cookie. In the story a young child gives a mouse a cookie. However, after you give the mouse a cookie, he'll want a glass a milk. And then it goes on an on about what he'll need next as a result of the previous item. This story is true to life.

My wife and I have been watching television on our 300 pound 32 inch RCA cathode ray television since we bought it back in 1999. To accompany our young dinosaur we purchased a mission-style oak entertainment cabinet for many dollars.

Fast forward 11 years. I have been perusing the advertisements looking for a new television. Just out of curiosity, of course. I'm no tech gadget kind of guy, so I wasn't quite sure what I should be looking for. LCD or LED or plasma? 46" or 47"? 120hz or 60hz? Fortunately my friends on Facebook were there to lead the way, except for one poor soul who was my classmate in private school 24 years ago. He recommended a 13" Westinghouse with the handle on top.

I had decided on getting a 47". They were about $700-$900. That seemed to be about what I wanted to spend for a new television. Then my wife got involved. We visited Best Buy. We visited BJ's Wholesale club. Not being one to tolerate hours of reading reviews, I let her do the legwork. Finally she tells me that she wants to go visit the Big Screen Store in Westminster.

We rally the kids and head up there. We are greeted by a young man named Chris who appeared to be out of high school by about 45 minutes. Spiderman is playing on all of the televisions, which I'm not sure was appropriate given that it is Rated PG-13. But if I could plop them down on those leather chairs to watch the movie while the missus and I shopped then all the better.

Chris showed us the differences between some of the televisions and clearly explained what our expectations should be. He then showed us a Mitsubishi with 16 speaker built-in multi-directional surround sound. He first showed us what it was like with 2-speaker sound. Not too bad. Then he turned on the 16 speaker sound. Holy mother of decibels!!! After I picked myself up off of the floor he says, "but if you're going to spend $XXX on this 47", then you might as well spend $200 more and get this 52". My wife was sold. "This is what we're getting!"

What a role reversal. The woman is telling the man that we are getting the phat-jammin television. Don't get me wrong. I loved it. But the money! Fortunately, slightly-post-pubescent Chris informed us that we could get 18 months no finance charges on a new Big Screen Store credit card. Sounded good to me! Plus it's a 3 year warranty and life-time tech support.

So Chris tells us that the television will be delivered next Wednesday (the week leading up to the Super Bowl). He asks us how we plan on mounting the television. I was set on getting a mission-style credenza to replace our Godzilla entertainment center. My wife disagreed. She wanted to mount it on the wall - above the fire place. Of course, this will prevent us from using the fire place. So we buy a mounting kid.

Another friend then informs us that since we're getting an HD TV, we need to upgrade our cable service to HD. What? So we had to get a new box. Another friend informs me - 'if you upgrade you're cable box, you'll need to get an HDMI cord. What? Another friend informs me - 'if you upgrade to HD, you'll need to get a Blue-Ray player to take advantage of the HD capabilities. What? All I wanted was a cookie!

The television finally arrives on Wednesday and the Eludius family officially enters the 21st century. We haven't buried the cords so they are still draped over the sides of the fireplace. Wii is a little interesting since the television is so high. The response time is slightly delayed thus rendering my old-bone abilities useless against other finely crafted Mii characters.

Two weeks later we still do not have a Blue-Ray player, but my wife is still shopping around. We still don't have an HDMI-compatible cable box because Comcast refuses to get more. Instead they are providing their customers with inferior composite cable boxes. But we'll call them every week until we get one. And once we have that, I'll get a glass of milk.

Men's Lingerie Gift Tips: When Shopping for Her ~ Part 5

Thanks to Evie, our stellar Eve's Apples' Correspondent, for telling us about lingerie gift giving tips to men written by a man for their wives, girlfriends and signifcant others.

In the Seattle Times, Evie discovered "Spice up your holidays: A guy's guide to shopping for lingerie gifts," by Geoff Carter with the Seattle Times.

Geoff writes, "...Attention all fellers: As they now stand, your plans to buy a gift of frilly lingerie for your significant other are doomed to flop and fail. You're probably looking at lingerie Web sites right now, armed only with a vague idea of your sweetheart's sizes (no, no, stop looking at your cupped hands), and an even more vague notion of what she'd actually like to wear, a notion that's inextricably rooted in the kind of lingerie you want to see in the bedroom: lacy, see-through, possibly evaporating.

I know all this because I'm one of you: I'm buying lingerie for my girl for the first time ever. My need to research every purchase to within an inch of its life brought me to Jennifer Carroll, owner of Fremont lingerie boutique Bellefleur and co-author of "Underneath It All: A Girl's Guide to Buying, Wearing and Loving Lingerie." With her help, I have been able to break down this daunting process into a handful of steps that should be familiar to any scrubby dude who's ever played a first-person shooter.

Do some reconnaissance. Take a peek inside your significant other's underwear or lingerie drawer and look up her bra size, which is a number followed by a letter. Then look at the panty size, which should be small, medium or large. Do not try to measure her yourself: "A man coming at you with a measuring tape is a little frightening," Carroll says. "Asking her for her sizes is completely fine." Carroll also advises looking up your girl's clothing size (size 6, size 8 and so on), which can be used to size her up for sleepwear...."

"no-clue" pictures

sometimes i get really nice pictures of myself,
and sometimes, i get super "no-clue" pictures
which leaves me speechless and no clue at all what i was doing/thinking.

like those below.

during Subzone Big Day's SPUD game.
haha seriously, i have no clue why i looked like that, man.
was the game that scary?? and if it was, how come the rest looked so chill wan??!!

and this one. aiyo, embarassing sial.
double chin, fat arms all exposed.

and i have no clue at all why i looked so happy.
if it was something funny, why wasn't boon laughing/smiling/double-chinning like me??!!

shiat. really gotta be more poised and jaga image a bit from now on.
haha but sien la..tiring to jaga image and be self-conscious all the time.

so, as a result, this is me.
and what you see is what you get la..haha
when you're tired of all my ugly pics, lemme know. i'll post back beautiful pics on my posts. haha but for now this is what i feel like posting so yeah :D

oh yeah,
updates on my 4-hour amazing shopping spree:

after really calculating, i actually only had 3 and a half hours to shop for my clincher and stilletos yesterday.

but but BUT! i actually managed to complete my mission from 2.45pm-3.30pm!

45 minutes, baybeh! i mean, was i some shopaholic who knows Pyramid inside out or WHAT???!!! AMAZING!!! :DDD

i really surprised myself, man! God was soooo on my side!! :D
after that, i even had time to go shop for make-up, look for accesories, choose clothes for mummy & gramma, help mummy & gramma in the dressing room (which took FOREVER), and eat Mee Suah in Shilin (that was the best part of all)!

*phew* thank God for the shopping talent i have :D

okay, i'm sure you guys get the point that i'm excited and proud of myself :)

p/s: will be hosting Campus Night 2009 tonight! jan-geong but excited! it's gonna be great! :))

4-hour amazing shopping spree

back in Dec last year.
i'm glad i'm now much fairer and skin's much smoother :)
but now i'm fatter. how? :(

hello people!
i figured it'd be sien and boring and tao-yen to always see a beautiful camho pic of me when you read my blog. SO....i figured that i shall be different today and post up a not so nice pic with absolutely no makeup and hair. like, literally no hair. hahaha!!

don't say hurtful words to me okay...i just want to be transparent to you guys... :(

it's also another easy-breezy-lazy day today. *love weathers like these*
BUT, i can't relax at home like i did yesterday. will be going shopping
in less than 2 hours time! this time, i'll be going with a
mission.

1. to look for a very very beautiful clincher
2. to look for a very very beautiful pair of stilletos
3. some nice accesories (if not also nvm, not an accesories person)

Question of the day: can she, complete, this task, in just, 4 hours??

plus, i'll be going with my mummy (who likes to stroll and get distracted along our missions almost all the time), and my mummy's mummy who is just as bad + she likes to talk and walk at the same time.

meaning:
it'll be quite difficult to fulfull my mission if i walk with them, unless i get them to walk as fast as i do. which is hard because they have their own mission also. how??

the Gala Dinner is just this sunday which is 4 days more.
i'm getting more and more stressed out and gan-jeong when the days draw nearer and i'm still not fully equipped.

this is just like Amazing Race you know, 6pm, and that's it.
my shopping race ends when i have to step into Nickey's car for rehearsal.

wish me all the best.

*group hugs*

love, careen.

now, where was i?

hey all :)
havent blogged for only 2 days and it felt like ages! especially when so many things happened along the way. will update on the happenings as soon as i have the time ;)
*takes time to post up all the pics and stuff. phew!

and guess what, i did the most impulsive shopping i'd ever done in my entire life yesterday. went to Pyramid right after work, shopped around while sisters had dinner. saw this red floral summer tube dress, and straight away tried it in the fitting room. before i even tried it on, darling called and said he's arriving in a minute! so i did the fastest changing of clothes ever, and look into the mirror for 3 secs, and there i go..walking outta the boutique with a brand new purchase! :D

besides, i also got some good buys from forever21. i was definitely a happy shopper *glees* :D

met soooo many familiar faces in pyramid! there was not even one time that i don't bump into someone familiar! i'm sure it's the same for you too (those who live in Klang Valley, that is). it's also the same for 1u!

hahah that's why i always say, never go pak-toh in these two places if you're in an underground relationship. simply too risky! been there, done that..so take my advice! ;P or at the other extreme, if you can't wait for ppl to know who you're newly with, go there too! :P

-♥-

on a sadder note, yours truly has not been feeling too well :(

have been working for these few days, thus the lack of posts. while working, yours truly needs to stand most of the time..if not, all the time! and because of that, i've been having backache and legs-ache (if there's such word. hahah)

plus lots of washing, cleaning and stuff..and when in a rush, i'm usually quite careless, so there comes all the cuts and bruises.

as for stress, i have been having insomnia :( and this is due to none other than the Hip Hop competition that i willingly signed up for. *pfft*

the competition is on Feb 28..and i've NO choreos figured out at all! None! Nil! Zero!!! :((
talk about the stress it gives me. plus, i don't know what to wear too. and THAT is stressful. the most important and stressful bit, it's an international competition and it is HUGE.

if it's some small inter usj20 dance competition, i wouldn't feel so stressed out. but this is for the entire Malaysia, if not, the whole world too! (as it says in its flyer, open to the world) *gasps deeply and shivers*

nowadays, i don't manage to sleep until 2-3 hourse of lying on the bed, eyes closed but still wide awake, and stuff just running through my mind. steps, choreos, attire, etc. i came up with lots of great choreos, but remembering and putting them into action is another different issue altogether. my mind is active all the time because of that, though i may be physically very drained out. not good. not good. even worse when there's work or morning prayer the next day. arrggh :(

these sum up the current me:

1. lack of sleep + lots of stress = a very very sad girl

2. lots of stress = lots of eating = lots of fats

3. lots if fats = loss of hot body

4. loss of hot body + lots of body pain = physical, emotional & mental suffering.

5. physical, emotional & mental suffering + a repeated cycle from No. 1 till No.4

= a very depressed yours truly :(

thank God after tomorrow's work, yours truly will be escaping to Malacca for CNY for the entire week. no need to think about coffee bean, no need to think about dance world, no need to think about keeping in shape (it's gonna go out of shape anyway..cry about it after CNY), etc etc.

i'll also have more time to sleep, snack, pig out, think about my dance choreo, eat, exercise (?), spend time with family members, eat, snack, pig out, and the cycle keeps repeating... :D

caught in the act. yours truly's journey of gaining weight.
*horror*

before i go, yours truly wishes everyone a

BLESSED CHINESE NEW YEAR!!! :)))
dong dong dong chianggggg!!!

pig out & stay in shape everyone! and that includes myself! :P

Going For A Walk

My wife decided today that it was time for me to get out of the house. I was hoping that it would be to walk to the mailbox and back to be followed by another movie and a nap. But that was not in her plan.

My oldest daughter had an appointment at the orthodontist and I was going. It is really cold here in Carroll County. So cold, in fact, that the county superiors decided to open school 2 hours late. I think this person may be from Miami or another point south. The temperature this morning was about 22° with a wind chill near 15°. If this person was in charge of Minnesota the schools would be closed from October through May.

So when we arrive at the orthodontist and the wind is billowing, I flop out of the car and waddle to the door. Since I can't carry children, I feel no need to stick around and offer moral support. However, half way to the door my family comes flying by me leaving me to waddle the rest of the way in the cold by myself. Can you believe that?

Once in the office, the regulars who were there when I got my braces in 2001 were there and were pal'ing it up with me. 'Did you take off today?' Nope, I'm off because I had surgery for a hernia. 'Oh, get well soon. Stay off of your feet. Get some rest. Don't over do it!' Shut the hell up!

Once my daughter is done we drop them off at school. Ahh - peace and quiet. We then head over to Kohl's, much to my chagrin. You see - my chagrin hates Kohl's. This is the store that has the entire merchandise on sale for 60% off at ALL times. How this is possible I don't know. 'Was $59.99, now $19,99!' When was it full price? One hour in November?

My wife starts by looking at women's clothes. I'll meet you somewhere else. Where you going to be? Not too far. I can't walk too fast.

I made the crazy 8's all the way around the store - twice. Mothers are everywhere. I'm looking for a dude 0r a hottie. Can't find any. There's a dude! Oh, he works here. More women. And these aren't even MILF's or hotties. It's kabitzin' biddies. They're all into everyone's business. Some 40 year-old with 2 toddlers let's them run in the aisle. One of the employees goes off on the kids. 'Hey!!! Stop running in the store! Or we're going to shoot you!"

A few more rounds. And no wife. I check the bras and panties section at least nine times. Can't find her. But I did find a pair of grrrrr panties that I think about buying for her. Move along. And I can't find a chair anywhere. I call her on her cellphone. Where are you? In women's clothes. Still?!!! I finally find her. Another few more rounds of crazy 8's and she finally concedes that we can go.

Now it's off to Shopper's Food Warehouse, Shopper's for short. As I'm hobbling along my wife asks me, 'what are you going to do if there's a fire?' Run like hell! They can always redo the surgery, but they can't unburn me.

Martin's is the main grocery store in Eldersburg. There are four in our bucolic town. Food Lion, where there is one line open sometimes, but it takes 30 minutes to get through. And Safeway, where a Coke 12-pack is on sale for $8.99, save $6!!!! Both parking lots are empty. Then there's Martin's. Always crowded. So we go to Shopper's. These people ain't from around here. Some of them are talking to themselves. Other's are keeping an eye on you hoping you don't recognize them from Saturday's episode of America's Most Wanted.

Finally we leave. She asks if I want to go to the library. No! I want to go home and sleep. It's been a rough day for me. How are you supposed to go to work next week? I have no idea. So now she is taking me out of the house every day. Tomorrow is the library and the doctor. I feel like an old man who just had hernia surgery. How pathetic am I?

Proceed to Checkout....

Few things make a parent more proud than watching their children grow up and learn new things. However, I'm now at a point where I question my daughter's new-found love.

For my daughter's 9th birthday she received several gift cards to Limited, Too, the preteen clothing store that sells overpriced trendy clothes that they will wear for 3 months before it is so out of style.

She found the website on the gift card and decided to take a look. Then while on the website she discovered that if she liked something, she could add it to her shopping cart. She kept asking my wife if she could add this and that. My wife had to remind her that she had a limit that she could spend.

Now, I fear that she will use shopping cart to add her favorite clothing. I see her on the website all the time, days after she cashed in her gift cards. If I checked her shopping cart right now I'm sure I'd find hundreds of dollars worth of stuff that she just has to have. When did a 9 year old become a 16 year old?

just dance!

its been a while...

i'm really excited because my paycheck came in last week! but its only about half of my pay, so i only got about $300, and i'm already planning to buy a camera (that's already $200) so i'm only going to have about $100 leftover. which i already know is going to go to my useless spending on clothes and food, and also to my sisters who i've promised to take shopping and whom owe money to, hah :) plus umm.. i still have to get my besties gifts for their birthdays, yes thats you christina and kristina.

however, i'm also really excited about my camera :) because i've been camera deprived for months, and my crazy secret camwhore obsession is about to burst if i dont dress up and take pictures of everyyything around me! but besides that, i've recently found this cool fashion blog place of soompi: chictopia.com! i signed up but i doubt im going to post any pictures soon, because really i have no inspiration or clothes to wear. and i wont have any money to go shopping either, so that sucks a little. i need to find a permanent job now, before school starts. ck, melanie, and i are supposed to go shopping downtown this sunday though, so hopefully that'll work out, and i'll have some nice new clothes.. plus pictures to post up.

i'm getting the same camera as my aunt.

FIDM called me! but i'm scared to talk to the lady who's been calling me, because i have no idea whether or not i even want to go to that college! i dont even know if fashion is what i want to do with my life. she just wants to talk to me about what kind of things i'm interested in and help me, but i'm hesitant to call her back. i'm so horrible. i should call her, but i'm scared. and its not helping that this is the last month of summer and i havent finished my summer reading, or even thought about college. OH SHIT. ahhh... sorry for the french, but i think i am fucked.
