The Big Four-Three ...

So it's official, or about to be official depending on when you read this, I'm another year older. Yup, I've hit the big, meaningful and always formidable age of 43. The big FOUR-THREE baby. The age I've been dreading. Some people worry about nice round numbers like 30 or 40 or 50. Not me. 43 has always been the one I feared. But, it's here now, so I guess I'll just have to deal with it.

I can't wait to see what kinds of shitty changes this age brings. Over the last few years things have been going downhill. I can no longer handle spicy foods. I have to get up in the middle of the night to pee more often than I used to. And, I've found that my “system” has become increasingly sensitive to greasy (and by “greasy” I mean “good”) foods. Oh and the hemorrhoids. TMI?

So, naturally I'm assuming that 43 is actually the magical age where things really begin to accelerate and my total physical and mental collapse will begin in earnest this year. I can't wait.

I don't have anything much planned. Just hang out, drink heavily and cry over my lost youth and rapidly dimming hopes for the future. You know, the usual.

If you wanted to get me something for my birthday, you could always listen to the awesome surprise birthday party Matt-Man threw for me on “I'm With Stupid” and get all your friends to do so too...
Listen to internet radio with Im With Stupid on Blog Talk Radio

Oh, you GOTTA listen to the beautiful and talented Desert Rat singing “Happy Birthday” to me on the show...

How HAWT was that?

Oh, and check out my birthday present from Kim Fragile...

How freakin' sweet is that?

And, I again want to thank Saturday Night Live for giving me Miley Cyrus hosting as my birthday present. She did a great job.

Oh, and thanks to Esquire for giving me Stacy Keibler for my b-day. That's nice!

Speaking of Blog Talk Radio. You know what those petty, meanies have done now? They've blocked Google and Skype on host lines for free shows. WTF? I emailed them asking about this and, as I expected, they didn't respond. I understand restricting time and space for non-premium hosts because they do need to make money, after all. But, blocking us from using Google or Skype to host our shows seems really shitty.

But, the social media world taketh away and giveth too. I've switched to using TweetDeck for all my Twitter needs and, after accidentally Direct Messaging three people, including myself, things are going pretty good there. I especially love the ability to filter out lots of hash tags, keywords and even certain people on certain days of the week who annoy me with their moronic tweets.

And of course over on Facebook I'll get lots and lots of happy birthday wishes today. Unfortunately a lot of those wishes will come from people I didn't even realize were on my friend's list. I suck at Facebook. I keep trying, but can't seem to get any better at it. But, with the new laptop I no longer have compatibility issues, so maybe I'll be a better Facebooker from now on.

Well, I don't want this post to get too long, so on this birthday I want to thank all of you guys for you general awesomeness and your interesting, funny, thoughtful and clever blogs, tweets, tumbles, status updates and comments. This whole “going downhill rapidly” thing wouldn't be nearly as fun without you!
