emotions keep spinning out

I always feel inspired to blog at odd hours in the wee morning or late late at night. It is easier to write when I am the only one awake in the house and I am surrounded by silence. I have been putting off blogging for awhile.

Update on life. Well a couple weeks ago, my friend Chrissa and I threw a surprise birthday party for our friend, Kingston. We took about two weeks to plan it. We wanted to do something really simple with just his good friends and just hanging out. We were very sneaky and great investigators in trying to see what his favorite foods were and who his closest friends (besides us :P) were. We even planned it with his girlfriend to keep him busy. BUT the night before his birthday, an hiccup in the plan happens. Chrissa calls Kingston at midnight to say happy birthday AND he tells her since he had no plans for his birthday (because he has no idea bout our party for him), he was going to have friends over at HIS house for pizza and cake. And then the PANIIIIC happened. Chrissa immediately calls me and we jump around on the phone thinking WHAT DO WE DO to bring him over to my house?!! We thought OH NO our PLANS ARE RUINED!! But luckily we got it together and I ended up three-waying with them and slying suggest to Kingston that we should go to my house to go swimming because it would be hot that day. He took the bait, hoook line and sinker! He realized then he would only invite a couple people that we knew. It was perfect.

So on the day of his birthday (and suprise party), Chrissa and I were supposed to go to Kingston's house to eat pizza and cake and then come back to my house to get the house ready for the party. But that would have been too much of a time constraint so we called him at separate times to tell him we were too busy to come and we would see him at my house. He sounded so DISAPPOINTED on the phone it was almost heartbreaking to lie to him. So we got the house ready, made his favorite dessert (strawberry cheesecake) and prepared the "surprise". People barely made it on time and then we ended up having to wait for KINGSTON to arrive. Chrissa and I had told some of our friends to go to Kingston's house to keep him busy until it was time for the party. I had everyone go to the garage to surprise him but the first time we thought he was coming, he didnt come. He ended up telling our friends to go ahead without him because he was packing up the pizza and cake to bring to my house. So we then had to WAIT AGAIN. Finally Kingston arrived and as me and a couple people helped him carry the food in my house, I told Kingston, " Oh Kingston, put your shoes in the garage ". He opens the door and BAM, poppers go off and everyone yells "SURPRISE". It was super SWEET. He had no idea we had planned the party and he was truely surprised. He was so oblivious to the fact that we were having a surprise party that he thought we had all forgotten his birthday or DIDN't CARE! It was amazing. It was a really good night.

Onto other crap going on in my life. I've just had family over from Washington and they have been occupying my life for a couple weeks now. 4th of July was okay with the family. I went to Six Flags with my little cousins and aunts and uncle. I had the ridiculous rules that Six Flags Discovery Kingdom has now. On most rides they no longer have cubbies on the sides so you have to put your stuff in a stupid locker for a dollar. And you cannot leave anything on the side of the ride besides FLIP FLOPS. I was wearing these cute black flats that I had just got because we didn't know we were going to Six Flags until like midnight the night before and I slept over my aunt's house. When I go to ride Roar, I put my flats on the side because I saw a couple people had done that. However, the stupid lady tells me that only flip flops are allowed on the side of the ride. Freaking ridiculous. So I have to hold my shoes and I stupidly put them behind my back (thinking that it would stay) but I forgot the bottom of the seat was not sealed and had a hole so I lost ONE SHOE on the RIDE!!! It was devastating. My uncle bought me flipflops at Six Flags to make up for it. Or else I would have been SHOELESS the whole day.

4th of july with the cousins

On the day of 4th of July, our family (extended & mine) went to eat dimsum at King's Palace and while the adults were still eating, I took the kids back to the car because the babies (my sister Sophie & cousin Grace) were getting restless. Tiffany (my sister) was entertaining Sophie (on my lap) by putting the stuffed animal in her mouth and shaking it like a dog. I have never heard Sophie laugh so hard and laugh so much at one time. For a baby, Sophie is reserved with people outside of our immediate family. She just stares at people or doesn't look at them. She doesnt like to be touched by many people besides just our family. So it was pretty funny watching her reaction.

Sophie also just turned 1 on 7/7. It would have been cool if she was born 7/7/07 but instead she is 7/7/08. I will be very sad if I leave for UCSD and I come back and Sophie doesn't recognize me. My sisters and I were gone for two days at my aunt's house and we came back today and Sophie looked pretty happy to see us. By the time I come back for winter break, Sophie will be TALKING! She can walk but her talking skills are bare minimum. She calls everyone "Appa" which is Korean for father. I only have 11 weeks with her left for her to call me "Unni" (Korean for older sister).

Yes, she has natural curly hair.

So I rented Heroes Season 1 from the library because I have been hearing how awesome Heroes is from my friends since like sophomore year. I started watching it and IT IS SO DAMN ADDICTING AND CRAZY. I LOVE IT. My siblings and I all watch it together (even my sister Tiffany who is 10!!!). I love the different intertwining stories and the superpowers. I love how it is very suspenseful but not crazy like Lost. Lost scares the crap out of me but I am more in awe at the suspense in Heroes. I fall in love with Milo Ventimiglia more in HEROES! And Masi Oka is the cutest thing ever. I love Japanese people. I love the message it sends that there are special people out there who are meant to do more. I really do believe more people need to have faith in their role in the world, superpowers or not.

Ordinary people can do extraordinary things.

Two songs I have on repeat.

Fallin For You - Colbie Caillat

I originally was going to do a "short post".

just one more time.

So Thursday was actually the last day for the seniors at my school. But unfortunately I was gone half the day because my AP Chemistry went to an elementary school to teach science. We were gone for 2nd and 3rd period and we came back in the middle/beginning of 4th period (last period of the day) and most of didn't want to go to class so we just hung in the back, where all the science teachers had their offices. We had to stay super quiet. Well we just hung around until the AP Calculus class had finished their last test, then we went to visit them across the hall. Most of my senior friends were in there. We just were signing yearbooks, exchanging last minute senior ball pictures and taking crazy pictures. I took their class picture for them. Three guys picked Mr. Yee (who is super short, shorter than me!) on the last couple pictures. It was really cute and sad at the same time. I hugged everyone a million times. I was "sad" but I did not cry. I knew in my heart it wasn't the LAST time quite yet.

Me and Eunsong.
Eunsong is GOING BACK TO KOREA for her senior year. :(

One of my favorite seniors, CORINNE!!!
There is no one like her, haha.

So after school, the bell rang and the seniors were going crazy. I guess some seniors had cans of WHIPPED CREAM so they were whip creaming everyone and throw their backpacks in the air. It was really cute. And again...SAD. Again I gave a million hugs, signed more yearbooks. But there is still graduation and my party I am throwing for the ONE LAST TIME (that is the theme). After school, went home and ate then went to work. I worked from 4:30-10. Around 8ish Matt came with some of the seniors (the super smart ones that i dont know so well). Around 9ish, it was pretty quiet. Then I saw Debbie walk through the door with a couple friends. She was like "we came to see you". Then I saw more people coming; Mindy, Corinne, Kelly, etc. Then EVERYONE just swelled the place. All the crazy asian/filipino seniors that I knew came to hang at red berry and just swelled the place. I was really happy. They got frozen yogurt and we all were just hanging around. It was super fun. Though I hope my boss was not annoyed that I was hanging with my friends instead of "working" though I did not have much work to do. It was pretty crazy. Then most of the people left around 9:50 and I had to clean. But some people were still left and they hung outside and they helped me put in all the tables. I wish they would be there everyday to help me put the tables inside.

I am really sad how blurry this is,
because it is such a cute picture with most of my senior friends.

Why do I look so lame with my uniform on!

But there is still graduation. Then my party. Then it will be the last time. The last time. I don't want to even think about. I kind of want to cry once so I can feel less guilty about not crying. :) But I am sure they want to see smiling more than crying.

But as I was watching everything unfold and laughing with my senior friends, I felt sad because I could see in them, US. MY FRIENDS. the ones that are juniors now. I am sad we aren't as crazy as the seniors, but next year we have an EXCUSE TO BE just as crazy and immature. But I see them scrambling to do everything and do it with everyone and it just reminds me how close I am to doing the same thing. And I know this summer is the last summer because I have a feeling next summer, a lot of us are going to be gone, out of the country, or too busy to hang after senior year. SO THIS SUMMER MUST BE THE BEST!

IT MUST!

dude, i just heard this song from perezhilton.
everyone has gone techno.

rihanna - "disturbia"

CUTEST SONG EVER.

i would rather be alone with aliens and rainbows.

So I am debating on whether or not I like this song. It has a nice balladly feel but I just weirded out by the lyric "i would rather be alone with aliens and rainbows" but im sure that hasnt been the weirdest line for a song yet (COUGH; we can kick it like taebo; COUGH; ). but besides that line, it is a pretty nice song. a bit sappy. but yeah nice.

I just watched this korean movie,

My Tutor Friend 2
(
동갑내기 과외하기 레슨 II).

(pictures comparing My Tutor Friend I to My Tutor Friend II)

Junko, a Japanese of Korean ancestry, comes to Korea to find her sweetheart. She finds lodging at a guest house that provides room and board. Unfortunately, the room that she is supposed to stay in belongs to the owner’s son, Jong-man. On her first night in Seoul, Junko is forced to share the room with Jong-man. Junko wants to find another place, but the owner desires to keep Junko as a guest and offers Junko free Korean lessons from Jong-man. It is going to be some adventure for Junko in Seoul!

I freaking LOVE THIS MOVIE. It is so cute and hilarious. It is just as good as My Tutor Friend I, but Park Ki-woong is not as hot as Kwon Sang Woo. But he is sooo cute in this movie. I just love his SMILE and the way his eyes crinkle. It is just so HOT! Yeah enough fangirling. I think fluent Korean speakers would probably enjoy the movie more because they make fun of the Korean language and Korean slang because the lead girl (Lee Cheong Ah) is supposed to be a native of Japan. The actress is actually Korean and I suppose she is fluent in Japanese because she faked the Japanese accent really well and her Japanese was pretty good. I really thought the ending was CUTE!!! Yeah well Park Ki-woong is a pretty new actor I suppose but he was really popular fter this commerical and it became a hit especially on tv and Koreans always parody everything famous so I remember at the time on variety shoes, entertainers would imitate this dance. He does it in the movie too. HE IS SO CUTE :].

The movie trailer is cute too. In the beginning they do a parody of that one Bae Young Jun drama that was really famous in Japan.

WE HAVE REACHED OVER 1,000 VIEWS. YAY.
I am very surprised that people actually read this. Hope we entertain you ;] Thank you to our COMMENTORS: clover, tran, terry, melanie, long, jessica, vivian, marissa, amy, anonymous people, and of course pachia and ME. pachia and i always comment each other haha. hope i didnt forget anyone that has commented us already? but yeah hope to get more commentors and international viewers! i added that neocounter thing that tells you the country of the viewers and it is FREAKING COOl. yeah and i know people google up weird things and end up finding us but hey at least we are on the google list. oh yeah and i added the last.fm track list cuz i like to share music taste. and im always up for MUSIC RECOMMENDATIONS! it is heartbreaking to know that there are songs that could be loved out there by me. haha.

finals, youtube, music, and HATS?

So finals are finally over! Yay! No more trig, no more art one, no more ap us history, and no more chemistry. Well actually no more easy chemistry. ;[ For spring term (which starts next week...) I have Intermediate Web Design, AP Chem (ahh), Spanish 3, and AP English (double ahh). Yeah when I told someone my schedule he was like "wow you are a nerd." But of course I am a nerd. Too bad I a not a smart nerd. I guess that doesn't make sense. I studied for like four hours (very rough estimate) for my trig final and I got a C. At least I got a B in the class. I barely got an A in Chemistry because of that stupid final and that stupid comp check. I have an A in Art. I got a B+ in AP US History. I wish I had actually studied more because then I would have gotten an A on the test. Oh well. Spring term is going to be hell but I am going to try and enjoy it. So my plan for spring term, even though I am going to have hard classes and lots of test (AP, SATS, SAT II), I am going to do fun things too. Tiffany said she and Michelle are going to try out for the spring musical and I think I want too. Singing and dancing is so fun. After multicultural, I feel so empty. Performing is really fun and it is really fun to be a part of something and do something. It is exhilarating to accomplish something. I would be happy even if I was like TREE #1. At least I tried out and made it. I am total noob though in theater. I took Children's Theater freshman year. I don't even really know if I can sing that well. I can karaoke. But singing? That sounds a bit harder. But I will just have fun with it.

After finals today, Tiffany and I made a plan to hang. Too bad we had no plans on what to do since we had no car and no money. So we walked around looking for Kingston who said he was going to go eat and play hide-n-seek at school later (wow sounds like elementary) but we couldn't find him. So we went to little Christina's house and fangirled over the Big Bang concert. Tiffany taught me the "Last Farewell" chorus dance part. It was fun. Then we walked back to school and then to Michelle's house. I couldn't stay to go play hide-n-seek at school with them, which I regret because it sounds so kiddish and fun. Wow we are such losers. Sixteen and playing hide-n-seek.

So I think it would be super fun to make a mv like these people:

I really admire these girls. They actually got recognized and I am sure Big Bang has seen their video. They are lucky. I think the girl who does G.D is good and totally cute. It seems like they put a lot of work into it. I've made videos (for projects) and it is a lot more work than you think it is.

This is a really random video to parody Big Bang's "Lies" but it is really funny. I think these guys would be like the gay best friends I have always dreamed of. JK. I think they are kind of cute. I think the beginning is the best especially when the gorilla mask guy is walking down and then the other guy comes up and dances up on him and then the other two guys come up and one guy who was wearing some stunna shades just throws down his cig.

Here are some songs that I have been listening to non-stop.

I just got the Colbie Caillat album (pretty late I know) and I like every song but these are just a couple favorites. Even though "Bubbly" is super over played, it still is good. I think she has great lyrics and a great voice. Lately I have been listening to a lot of Korean music but now I am going back into the mix of English and Korean.

So I am super obsessed with getting a hat with long furry ears. I see these hats all over Korean variety shows and I found a post on FeetManSeoul about it. I think it would be pretty interesting to wear a animal hat like this around school.

Yeah I feel like I am leaving a lame post about random things but enjoy.
