Free Writing

First let me wish Keshi baby a happy birthday. If you don’t read Keshi’s blog then you are totally missing out! Happy Birthday Keshi!

--

A very sad goodbye to 70’s superstah Farrah Fawcett. Like just about every other pre-teen and teenage boy in the 70’s and 80’s Farrah’s iconic post hung on my wall too.

And yes, I did try to stand hold the poster at all different angles to see if I could get even more of a peek there. That was part of the brilliance of that poster. There wasn’t just a stunningly beautiful woman smiling back at me (and just me, btw, not anyone else. This poster was made just for me. It was special, just like our love), but it was the perfect amount of tease.

Rest in peace Farrah.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know Michael Jackson died too. That’s sad. But, today is Farrah’s day.

I’m going to try the idea of “free writing” (which is very much like stream of consciousness but somehow different) like McGee on NCIS does. When he has writer’s block is stuck he just writes along without any real point or purpose. Heh, that’s kind of how this blog is anyway. I rarely have a real point to make here but when I do it’s a good one. That’s why the chicks dig me. Well, one of the many reasons. They also love my general sweetness and the fact that I’m a great cuddler. Being a great cuddler, much like having great legs is almost never overrated. I had a roommate back in college who used to complain that his girlfriend was always wanting him to cuddle with her. He said he couldn’t stand it at all. Couldn’t stand having anyone hanging on him and shit. He always said sex should be like a boxing match. Each person starts on his/her own side of the bed and then the bell rings and you roll to the middle and get all physical with each other and then when you’re done the bell rings again and you go back to your own side. Of course I always figured it was his whiny, needy girlfriend that was the problem. Okay, so this is nothing like McGee’s free writing cause when he does that he’s working on his book so he free writes at least with the idea of his book and I’m just fucking babbling here. Oh well, who cares. I like McGee. He’s cool. They need to make him the hero every once in a while though. Or maybe I need to stop watching that show on USA so much. Hey, what else is there to watch? Giada is only on twice a day as are the Gilmore Girls. So, there has to be something else to watch, right? And the only shows that are on for the summer are crappy reality shows. Or Royal Pains or Burn Notice. And I kind of really hate those shows. So, NCIS it is most nights. Of course there’s always baseball. But, baseball is hard to just sit and watch all the time. They play 162 games a year. No one game really seems all that important. At least not in the first half of the season. And if anything really awesome happens ESPN will show it 7,934 times over the next day anyway. Make that 195,388 times if it’s the Yankees or Red Sox. So, baseball is boring. Not boring like NASCAR, but still boring. Oh, that reminds me Jeremy Mayfield tested positive for Meth? No. Freaking. Way! How the hell would anyone find any Meth dealers anywhere near a NASCAR event? Speaking of “sports” originating in the south I really wish the media would NOT make the Sanford emails to his Latin honey public like this. What? You don’t think sports in the South is a good segue into this topic? I disagree cause gosspin about people most definitely IS a sport in the South. Anyway, publicizing those emails does seem like way too much of an intrusion into Sanford’s private life. And it might start making people feel sorry for him and I don’t think anyone should feel sorry for him. For his wife and kids, yes, but not him. Worst of all though is the fact that if they are out there, I won’t be able to stop myself from reading them. And I don’t wan to have to read them. So, if you can’t think about the feelings of Mrs. Sanford and their kids, at least think of me people! Cause you know, it really is all about me. Okay, that's enough cause now I'm bored. Have a nice weekend.

Just Rambling About Nothing ...

First off, Aunt Jackie’s father died on Wednesday. If you could possibly find a minute or two today to send some good thoughts or prayers her family’s way I’m sure they would be much appreciated.

stream of consciousness rambling…

So how y’all doing? I seem to have taken a few days off again. I just can’t seem to come up with anything much to talk about. Nothing all that interesting is happening. It’s currently ONE freaking degree here. That’s pretty cold. In fact the little bald guy on the local news who claims to be some kind of weather expert or something, said tonight will be the first time in like a billion years that temps in this area go below zero with no snow on the ground. I don’t know if that’s a big deal or not, but I thought I’d share. I’m watching Iron Chef America right now. Their secret ingredient is different kinds of bacon. Mmmm … bacon. I think if they ever invent smell-o-vision that I will probably want this blog to give off a bacon smell. That would probably attract a lot of people. Maybe chocolate chip cookies too. That’s a pretty yummy smell. Which reminds me. I’m hungry. I don’t know why though. I shouldn’t be. I probably should just go to bed and pretend that I’m not hungry. But then I’ll just lie there and stare at the ceiling and think about how freaking hungry I am. Oh well, I’ll worry about that later. I wonder what President Bush is doing his last weekend in the White House. I would be taking advantage of that personal chef at the taxpayers expense thing one last time. See I’m still thinking about food. Anyway, I can’t wait until Tuesday gets here. I’m sick and tired of hearing about the inauguration and I’ll be glad when it’s over. Of course I will be watching the inauguration. I always watch the inauguration. No matter who has won. Oh and that reminds me, I saw that Hillary was given the okie dokie by the Senate Intelligence Committee by a 16-1 vote. Way to put a big fight there republicans. I love the way they showed up and were like “Uh, Hil, we think maybe you and Bill should be a touch more transparent about all this money Bill gets donated to his library and foundation by foreign leaders and companies.” And then Hillary was like “Uhhh .. Nah, I don’t think so.” And then they were like “Oh, okay then. No prob babe.” I thought about doing this whole post with no punctuation, but then decided that was be so freaking annoying, so I didn’t. It’s annoying enough that I can’t put an extra space between the end of one sentence and the beginning of another. I bet this is going to look really stupid on the blog and piss people off. Oh well, sorry about that. Speaking of piss, I think some people were a bit disturbed by the sight of my urine stream on the blog the other day. But hey, what can I do? Art is disturbing sometimes. I’m surprised that pic didn’t get more “views” on Flickr though. Maybe I need to put more tags on it. I’m sure there are some piss fetish people out there that would really be turned on by that pic. Weirdoes. Oh HOLY COW Iron Chef America ended in a tie! Of course it did. They were both wrapping everything in bacon. Everybody gets a perfect score when they do that. Okay, that’s it. I’m getting something to eat. Laterz.

Late Night Ramblings ....

Well I’m sitting here at 3:00 AM and I’m not sleeping so I thought I would blog. I wasn’t going to blog today because I couldn’t think of anything to blog about. Oh I had several things I could blog about, but they all sucked. But, now that I’m apparently going to be up all night I thought I might as well post about something.

I wonder why it is that the spell check in my version of Camino on my iMac keeps telling me that commenters isn’t a real word? Can’t there be more than one commenter? Actually I wonder why it tells me that Camino isn’t a real word too. You’d think that they would at least put the name of the browser into it’s spell check, right?

I was sitting here the other day thinking about what my biggest blogging pet peeve is. I went through all of them that I could think of. Not answering comments, or only answer certain commenters (that is a fucking word dammit!). Not commenting on a blog of someone who comments on yours. Someone who suddenly stops commenting at all. Truncating posts so they can’t be read in Reader and you HAVE to click over to the blog. And on and on.

Then I decided I would do a post about those pet peeves. The post was actually pretty damn long. Then I started thinking about how many of those things I do also. Then I got really annoyed at myself.

So I trashed that post.

I don’t know if this is something you see in your neck of the woods, but I see it here all the time. When I’m at the grocery store I almost always see people eating something while they are shopping. Like they grab a box of granolas and they open it and eat one and throw the box into the cart.

The other day while I was in the store I saw this woman with her little kid and the kid was drinking a little thing of chocolate milk. Now I can understand doing that cause it probably keeps the kid from screaming and crying and otherwise annoying the shit outta me. But, when this kid finished his milk, he just put the container on the shelf and walked off and left it.

His mother looked right at the empty milk container, shook her head like it pissed her off and then she just walked away with the kid. Umm .. Hello lady! You’re kid just fucking stole that thing of milk! Aren’t you going to take it to the register and pay for it with the rest of your groceries?

That’s pretty damn redneck right there. I even considered telling someone who works there, but I guess I didn’t care that much.

I wonder if tequila at 3:15 am is a good idea?

I’ll be honest. I’m getting a little sick of Michael Phelps. Oh sure, it’s mostly my angry, bitter haven’t done a damn thing with my life inferiority complex talking. But, I’m getting sick of him anyway.

I listened to a fantasy football show on Blog Talk Radio for a while last night. It was pretty good. I got a little inside info to work with now. I mean, I don’t really know what to do with it, but I do have it at least.

After I got finished with my pet peeves post and then trashing it, I started thinking about who my biggest blog crush is. That’s a pretty hard one. I thought about it for a while and then I decided I had too much time to think on my hands.

I think I’ve just about run out of places to cover in my driving around town. It’s a pretty small town and I think I’ve hit all the high lights already. Maybe just a drive through the countryside a bit? Nah. That would be boring.

Miss Britt is going to quit smoking on Monday. I totally support people who quit smoking. So, when she asked for everyone’s support and even made this nifty little button I jumped right in there.

Oh and she’s doing a drawing and anyone who links to her post about quitting smoking gets his name put into the hat. So that’s a bonus incentive to mention that. ;-)

Anyway, go show her some support.

Okay, so now it’s 3:30 AM. Surely tequila would be okay now, right? Right?
