Second attack

A surfer was bitten by a shark while surfing near the Harvard Drive beach approach in Ormond Beach, Volusia beach officials said.

Adrian Bronson, 37, was in shallow water in the ocean around 6:30 a.m. today when he felt a shark bite his calf, said Volusia County Beach Patrol Capt. Tammy Marris. He sustained minor puncture wounds and didn’t go to the hospital, Marris said. After surfing, he went to work, she said.

This is the second shark bite incident off Volusia County beaches this year.
