The three UK Tori Amos concerts on the Night of Hunters tour have “value-added” ticket madness in the form of ticket pre-sales. Right now, it looks like there will be two for London, one for Manchester and one for Glasgow.
London and Manchester will each have an O2 Priority pre-sale starting on Wednesday, May 11th at 9:00 AM BST. Manchester’s will last through to the general sale on Friday while London’s looks to be a day long as there will be a Live Nation pre-sale for London starting on Thursday. Pre-sale ticket links will go live on the O2 Blueroom on Wednesday morning, allowing you to purchase tickets for these two events from a pre-sale allotment via O2. The FAQs aren’t clear about whether or not you actually have to have an O2 Blueroom ID to participate in this pre-sale so it might be a smart move to do that now just in case it is required later.
As mentioned above, there will also be a Live Nation pre-sale for the London concert that starts on Thursday, May 12th at 9:00 BST. That one is mentioned on Live Nation but there’s no mention of a password or any other requirements at this time.
Finally, while ToriAmos.com advertises a pre-sale for Glasgow that will start on Wednesday the 11th. There is no mention of this at Gigs in Scotland yet but neither is there a listing for that show at Ticketmaster yet. Gigs in Scotland indicates that tickets for Glasgow will be available through Ticketmaster so we’d expect a pre-sale to also go through Ticketmaster once the listing is added and we’re guessing that one will appear sometime today or early tomorrow morning.
One thing to keep in mind about pre-sales is that they usually contian an allotment of tickets from throughout the venue—not just the best seats in the venue. the O2 FAQ addresses this specifically:
A wide range of seat types are allocated as Priority Tickets for each show. O2’s Priority Ticket offer does not always guarantee access to the best seats. If you don’t like the ‘best available’ Priority Tickets, you can try to buy alternative tickets through the general public sale.
So, do not feel that the pre-sales are the only opportunity to get the best seats at these shows. Equally good seats will be available in the general sale and, often, will be released for sale as the concert date approachs.
