So here is the official first finished piece of artwork by... me & my bff as BrokeBot.
its a collaborative effort... to make a new shop/identity, team up with collabs trying to reach an audience.. trying to sell some art..! just trying to survive.
Thats why its called Broke Bot. Aldo goes by "Champagne Robot" & I sometimes use "Brokeneyeball". so they got combined... & it fits perfect! it's a side thing... I'm hoping for it to take minimum to half at most of my work time.
About to get to work! ..on my "chained girl" painting. It's actually my own take of a drawing made by Aldo a few years ago. He gave it to me, its framed & on a wall. I had thought it was gonna be a really quick painting.. couple ..maybe few days to finish. I just had liked the idea.. but wanted it to look better, in a painted form, rather than fast pencil drawing. I'm trying my best to make it work. It started too rushed, didn't refine enough early on, it led to problems later.
Hope to finish this one soon.
My kitty Obi, recently found a new hidden spot in the house! my hamper is full enough to sustain him at a perfect height, & it is perfectly placed in the open/doorless closet area behind the head of my bed/matress. I can sometimes hear him snore from back there. or I get to catch him entering or exiting his new Fortress!! hehe.
I did some watercoloring the other day.. A hummingbird.. with the other half of BrokeBot, will use for a collab piece.
& a Hedgehog, 'cus, hedgehogs are cute! :P + an interesting challenge.
I'll show scans of these later.. :)
Ive started this painting after..or close to when I was finishing my, now tittled "Hidden Places" painting..
This is the current "detailed room" painting I'm working on. I think these are ones that I test my skill on... I try as best I can. I haven't been sure if I should share the whole thing yet, or if I want it to a sort of surprise/release. I'll keep sharing small bits of it here & there. Trying to finish this one soon too!! Painting takes so long... & so much effort & thinking before beginning. But its the only thing I'd want to try hard at, so it works out! (:
& lastly! sorry to not credit this photo [its from my secret stash of the internet] but.. this is what I want part of my house to look like. One day! :)
can't believe were at the 5th month! time flies! ..at a slow rate! lol.. or something.
I bought flowers for my garden! They are now in a long window box type planter thingy.
