Alternative killer

Do not read this post if you haven't seen Scream 4 yet and want to remain unspoiled. I just came across this publicity picture from the movie, which is clearly taken during the final act of the movie, when Jill, who turned out to be one of the two Ghostface killers, is in the hospital, faking to be the sole survivor of the killings. However, what is odd in this picture, is the fact her former boyfriend Trevor is in it.

Trevor was killed by Jill a couple of scenes before this scene in the final version of the movie. Now I know the actors don't find out which one of them is Ghostface until the very end of the shooting, so this could mean originally Trevor was meant to survive until the end, which would probably mean he was intended as the original killer.

It would explain why Jill acts genuinely horrified when her friend Olivia is killed by Ghostface, earlier in the movie.
