Time For Fall TV Shows...

So, it’s time for the new fall TV season to get underway.  I don’t really watch that many shows, but the ones I do watch, I love and never miss.  “Sons of Anarchy” come back last night and “Mad Men” is rolling along with possibly its best season ever.  There really aren’t any network shows that I watch, but I do think NCIS is a pretty good show.

There were also a couple of summer series on HBO and basic cable that I loved.  “Justified” on FX and of course, “Treme” on HBO.  And, a couple of shows that are running right now, that I admit are pretty decent, but I haven’t really been watching.  Shows like “Covert Affairs,” “The Glades” and that lesbian crime drama “Rizzoli and Isles.”

What? Angie Harmon and Sasha Alexander don’t play lesbians? Pfffft …. Look, I’ve watched a few minutes that show and I know lesbians when I see them.  I am an honorary lesbian myself, after all.

Anyway, here is my list of the new shows this fall that I’m going to watch and give them a try…

Hawaii Five-0:  I absolutely love the original and have convinced myself that this “re-imagining” is going to be really good too.

Chase:  Cop shows are always good.

No Ordinary Family
:  Michael Chiklis as a superhero!

Detroit 1-8-7:  More cop shows. This one supposedly grittier than the usual network stuff.  Hope so.

Nikita:  A super hot Asian chick (Maggie Q) with long, amazing legs going around kicking the shit outta and shooting people?  Oh I’m there.

Outsourced:  I’m sure there’s going to be a lot of people who are fake outraged (or maybe genuinely outraged) but I think it just might be funny.  Even though I don’t really like sitcoms usually.  Other than Modern Family, of course.

Body of Proof:  It looks to me like a modern version of Quincy only with the oh so hot Dana Delany.

Blue Bloods:  Magnum P.I. is back!  And it’s a police family crime drama.  But, 10 pm eastern on Fridays? Sounds like this show is starting out on the off ramp to canceledville.  Hope it’s good though.

Terriers: This show is actually on FX and it looks to be pretty funny.  A couple of unlicensed private detectives who aren’t the sharpest tools in the shed, but like the dogs the show is named after, make up for that with tenaciousness and persistence.

Boardwalk Empire: Another epic HBO show.  This one directed by Martin Scorsese and set in 1920’s prohibition era Atlantic City.  (And I think Chicago too) Gonna be awesome!

Hellcats:  Okay, I’m kidding. I would never watch a silly show about cheerleaders aimed at the same crowd that watches “Gossip Girl.”

Yes I would.

Anyway, I don't know if I'll keep watching any or all of these shows.  Are you looking forward to any of the new shows? Which ones look best to you.  And yes, I know that watching TV is sooooooooo beneath you and you and you too.
