Filmography:

Easy Rider
Dennis Cooper 's cult film "Easy Rider", leave everything and hit the road to find America's adventure story of two motorcyclists. 60s in late July the story of our hero, Billy (Dennis Hooper) and Wyatt (also the film's producer, also with Peter Fonda), which will be held Mardi Gras party to attend in Los Angeles to New Orleans headed two hippie friends are. On the road against the interests of many people. They came out on this journey ends up living in America what they saw. Failed to break the chains on one side and lack of tolerance in the periphery to shake violently, the other side effects of drugs and alcohol in the world they live in a state has set aside time to think of the killing. Arrested for unauthorized demonstration in a village beside the road and removed with a lawyer named George Hanson (Jack Nicholson) will continue with that lawyer. Trip at the end of their beloved how the world has become, and that they also share the understanding that motorcyclists of all wars and hostilities stop, social inequality, resolve, management is much more humane and equitable to make such a simple request to America's response is very hard it would be. Because America was not yet ready to change what they want.

Controversy:

I hope Dennis Cooper is finally satisfied now that someone is dead!

"I hope Dennis Cooper is finally satisfied now that someone is dead!" What a horriblke thing to say. What does Dennis Cooper have to do with this. If anything he may have been psushiong for enforcement of traffic laws evenly to everyone and not just the locals. For one thing in that exact area I have seen many bicyclist dart out from the sidewalk to the center of Roosevelt to go to the shopping center. Instead of crossing on their bike at the disignated crosswalks. I do also agree that the big trucks don't seem to care about the 35 mph speed limit neither do a lot of people, that is why people get injured or killed and why our insurance rates go up, because of idiots who drive like they own the road and the rules do not apply to them. As for the TDC I do not believe they would actually tell the cops or even ask them not to ticket tourists. It is illegal for that to be done and they would be denying our city of good revenue because we will always have the stupid tyourist who think they can do whatever they want in our neighborhoods.

Dennis Cooper News:

City Council overturns planning commission decision
Marion D. Moore, proposing to build two single-family homes on the split lots, said the homes would be constructed with double-car garages so parking would not be an issue.
Resident Dennis Cooper, who lives next door to the property, was opposed to breaking it into two lots.
"I am concerned that this will cause more congestion and parking on streets," Cooper said.

Prattville man who caused wreck charged with DUI
According to the Alabama Uniform Traffic Crash Report filed by troopers, 45-year-old Dennis Wayne Cooper of Prattville was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after a roadside sobriety test resulted in a reading of .10.
A Chilton County woman -- Desiree Scarbrough -- was taken by private vehicle to a local hospital following the crash.

Scarbrough, who suffered a fractured leg, said she had only liability insurance on her car.
"My quality of life is certainly a whole lot different," she said. "I could probably take (Cooper) to court, but I'd spend all my money trying to sue him. Then, even if I won in court, I probably wouldn't be able to collect anything from him."

Foreclosed Home Left Smelly

There's a horrible smell coming from the garage, glass in the driveway and squatters visiting this Bend house, says neighbor Aaron Ritchey.

"Mainly it's cat feces, there was a cat in there and it was smelling pretty bad," says Ritchey.
"Unfortunately, there are so many foreclosures in the Deschutes, or the Tri-County area, it's just phenomenal. And I don't think the banks can keep up with them or the mortgage companies," says Dennis Cooper, High Desert Disaster Restoration.

People are leaving their properties in bad condition.

"They get a little mad, they stuff up toilets, and sinks and leave the water on, and unfortunately, the longer it stays that way, the worse it gets. You basically have to tear the house apart. You have to remove the carpeting, remove the walls and see where the mold has gone," says Cooper.

p.s. Hey. I thought he would be a bit more upper class, and I hadn't heard he'd died. Thanks, Alan. It's cleaning day here, and I'll be zooming along a bit as a consequence. Sorry. ** Monday ** David, Oh, hm, I guess I was in a slightly daring mood when I put that post together, but we're still here. Whew. ** David Ehrenstein, Merci! Very curious to hear the Wilson/ Gershwin record, of course, definitely. ** Allesfliesst, Thanks a lot for the explanation. I'm old enough to have attended a few heavily participatory theater pieces back when they were grabby -- James Joyce Liquid Memorial Theater Company, early Las Furas del Baus, Pilot Theater, and a few others. I liked the ones that were clever about the participation, but there was a kind of theater in the 60s, 70s that dragged one into the piece in order to make you a less uptight human being, and those really sucked. I don't know Rogoff or Sofaer, and I'll investigate them both. Thanks a lot, man. It really sounds like an interesting, very interesting piece/research, etc. I'd love to hear more anytime. ** 翊翊翊翊張瑜翊翊翊, Your name is really long today. ** Statictick, Hide the silverware. ** Pilgarlic, Great Olympics stories, cool, thanks. I was in LA for the last Olympics there, but LA's so spread out that the only impact and feel they had was the strangely empty freeways, since half of LA's residents had gotten the hell out of town fearing the traffic jams. ** Memoirs of a Heroinhead, Okay, fascinating, totally. It's only my hurrying today that keeps me from wowing in detail. I fear I'm hooked, uh, as it were. ** Tristam's Mum, You don't know what you're missing, babe. ** Syreearmwellion, The instruments sound absolutely amazing, of course. Surely, they're safe and sound somewhere, maybe even played perhaps. I have serious crises with this novel all the time, I just don't always mention them. It's fairly normal and healthy, I think. Endanger the thing and learn just how valuable it is, or something. It's just that this one is very difficult to get right, and the high level of concentration and slowness of the work is really frustrating and exhausting sometimes, and I have this feeling that the particular reading challenges this novel issues aren't going to be embraced warmly by a lot of people, which doesn't matter, but when I'm feeling burnt and defeated, I end up wondering why I'm spending so much time and effort on a novel that's likely to be not well liked or understood. But I don't know that for sure, of course, and I eventually just get back to work. Thanks for the concern. Hopefully, it'll all work out and be worth it and all that. ** Bill, Thanks. Novel's slightly less irksome at the moment. Glad and not surprised the Maddin book ended very well. Oh, and thank you for the email. Very interesting, and very understandable as well, I might add. ** Alan, Busted, I guess. Started reading it, but didn't get very far, only because I think I accidentally left the book in a cafe or something. It's perpetually on my must-read list. Higher on the list than Proust, even. No, I didn't know of Zach's book blog, strangely. It's wonderful! I love Zach's sensibility so much. Thanks a lot for the alert. Everyone, courtesy of Alan, Zachary German, long time (if quiet these days) d.l. and the author of easily one of the best novels ('Eat When You Feel Sad') of 2010, has a new blog where he reports on/ reviews books he's read this year, and it's really awesome in the way only Zach can be. Highly recommended. Oh, and last but not least, thanks so much for today. There should be a curious stack of comments by tomorrow morning. ** Killer Luka, You always make the escort posts worth it, pal. ** Christopher/ Mark, Quite possibly, come to think of it. Luck of the draw, my man, luck of the draw. ** Im not an asbo im your next Prime minister, Hey. Oh, my friend wasn't here yet when I wasn't having much fun. The fun intake/ outtake since my friend got here is higher. The lack of fun was mostly due to hassles with my novel. Same old. Your fun only pleases me. Fun is infectious, right? Why let half the globe and the internet get in the way. I'm going to write the summer semi-off, and go for a fun fall. ** JW Veldhoen, Coin traditionally helps everything, so yes. ** Plexus, Hey! I'm so glad you came back. Excellent! No, your writing isn't like mine. Take it from the expert. You're really talented. I'm going to learn stuff from your writing, if anything. I did badly in English classes too, if that reassures you. So, how long have you been writing? Is writing a or the main interest of yours? Do you have writer friends and so on? I'm curious, but only answer if it interests you. I was in Buffalo once for this literary conference thing about experimental fiction at the University. Sometimes we drove around Buffalo and ate at restaurants and things. I think it was the downtown that seemed gloomy, but I like gloom, as you can imagine. Yeah, London's cool. You should try Paris next time. It's not too bad, to say the least. I have a whole bunch of online escort sites bookmarked, and every month I just go through them and pick my favorite new ones, basically. There are a lot of sites, international ones and ones for specific countries. The ones that usually end up giving me the most useable escorts are two European sites: escupido.com and erados.com. Anyway, welcome, I'm glad you're here, and I look forward to reading more of your work and talking about it and getting to know you and all that good stuff. ** Bernard Welt, Okay, I'll at least buy 'The Good Soldier' and put it near me and try to psych it into making me want to open it. As soon as today. ** Steevee, Nite Jewel, yeah, I've read about them, but that's it so far. The Sparks cover is a real lure, yeah. Thanks. ** Creative Massacre, Hey. I'm good, thanks. And you sound noticeably much better, great! Yeah, one more year or rather 9 or so more months isn't so bad. Are you still thinking of opening your own restaurant? I guess it was quite a while ago when you mentioned that possibility. ** Stan_cz, Hey. Well, ha ha, 'dig' might be pushing it. I'm cool with it 'cos I respect and like you, obviously. I guess it interests me because the way you create this strict hierarchy with limited room at the top and put writers/books in competition all the time is very foreign to me. It works for you, which is interesting, but it goes completely against my grain. It seems very exclusionary, and, yeah, I'm just not wired to eliminate things so aggressively. I'm more into Ashbery's thing of wanting to marry the world. Anyway, yeah. Of course I think you're totally wrong about Heller and that 'typically American' and 'plagariasm' crack, but I know you seem to mostly like a very particular brand of American fiction: hard-boiled, manly, misanthropic, very narrative, etc., so I could see why you might mistakenly think American fiction that doesn't mine that vein is uppity or pan-handling. ** Misanthrope, Really glad you're feeling better, G. ** Brendan, Busyness rules. I believe in it. ** The Dreadful Flying Glove, Yes, thank you, yes. ** Steven Trull, Right? ** Shunmax, Hey. Yeah, ha ha, I knew that escort had swiped 'Josh's' pic, Like I always say, the main interest in those posts for me is in how escorts choose to represent themselves and their services. Well, they come from a whole bunch of escort sites, maybe two dozen of them and counting that I check monthly. If there's a particular escort you mean, I might remember where I found him for you, although I don't keep records about that. ** Tuesday ** Disco 3-way, It's with me, man, yep. I'm thrilled to death to hear the novel was so well received and has occasioned the film and all that. Wow, great, Eli! So totally deserved. You're moving to NYC? That's interesting. Why? I actually will be there in mid-October, so maybe we'll get to see each other! ** David Ehrenstein, I guess I'm that old too. Sigh. ** Davidpeak, Hey, David! Welcome, and thanks a lot for posting. I'm an admirer of your writing, so this is a pleasure and an honor. Yeah, Drumm's great, totally. What do you think of his Prurient collab. I've decided I really like it. Thanks much for the link. I'll go over and investigate asap. Yeah, thanks again, and, of course, please do come back any time. ** Patrick deWitt, Oh, shit, that is precisely at the time that I know I won't be here. I'm giving a reading in NYC on the 15th. That completely sucks for me. Damn. ** Sypha, Awesomely colorful Lambert gig report, thank you. Try to have the best time you can on your vacation, James. Safe trip. ** Steevee, Thanks a lot. I'll go find that VK interview post-haste, of course. Yeah, thanks much, Steve. The anti-mosque stuff is just about the ugliest, most depressing outburst of racism and fear-mongering as I have ever seen in my life. Utterly shocking. ** _Black_Acrylic, Hey. Oh, man, I'm so sorry to hear about the flare up. I sure hope the steroids do their job, and I imagine they will. Let me know how it goes with the doctor and everything, okay? Love to you, man. ** Stan_cz, Well, it depends on what the inspection is for, but I imagine they'll just make sure the gas isn't leaking and that sort of thing. Those inspections are pretty normal. They have more impact on the building's owner than on the tenants. ** JW Veldhoen, Good thing you'll be too far away to kill if you aren't too far already. Far away, I mean. ** Rigby, Awesome, man. Really glad you liked it. Thanks, pal! ** Bill, Hey. Oh, I was imagining you know Helen Petts, certainly her work if not even her personally. Yeah, her live footage is pretty stunning. ** Will Decker, Thanks a lot, Will. I do my best, ha ha. ** Chilly Jay Chill, That's my concern or whatever about the Books album. The continuing playability of those samples. I'll definitely check it out, of course. Yeah, I guess I did cut the Wong Kar Wai piece. It wasn't really so interesting or valuable in retrospect. Thanks about 'SiH', man. ** Inthemostpeculiarway, A full-fledged intervention just to get her to go out more? That's just crazy or something, no? The rain is nicer now that it's gone. Ha ha, great drug deal story. That was awesome. I loved that. Thrills and chills. Cool couple of days all around for you. I have to rush, so I'll just give you a skim of my days. Met Joel at the airport. Plane on time, etc., no big. He still had energy, so he, Kiddiepunk, and I walked around the neighborhood to orient him, basically. We had a crepes at the 'best crepe stand in Paris', and they were giant and, yes, the best. I showed him the canal, Republique, this and that. Then I came back here and worked for a while. And then I tried to help him find herbal cigarettes, but we couldn't find any. He got sleepier. He met Oscar over espresso. He got sleepier, crashed. O, Kp, and I went to the weekly event at the Recollets where a resident shows his/her work and talks about it and everyone has a pot luck dinner. It was nice. This one was a stand-up bass player from Texas. Played his own stuff and a Bach piece and a couple of experimental works by new composers, etc. After that, I came home, blah, blah, crashed. Sorry for the speedy report. I'm trying to beat the cleaners today. How was Wednesday? ** Okay, I'll rush-proof-read this and send it off. Alan is your boss today. Behave accordingly. Bye. Tomorrow.
