FF Update and Some Big Pimpin ...

Ok, so here are the people who said that they would like to participate in a Fantasy Football League:

10. NE? – Can’t tell if she wanted to play or was just being supportive of the idea. She said she wanted to play on my team, but each person has to have his/her own team
11. Dianne? – Same deal as with NE

14. Me

If your name is on that list, but you don’t really want to play or aren’t committed to playing speak up now. It’s important to know for sure who is playing so we don’t end up with an odd number of teams cause you HAVE to have an even number.

If your name ISN’T on that list and you want to play, well ... uh ... if somebody drops out you will be able to take their place. I really don’t want more than 14, unless we start two leagues which we can do if enough people would play in two leagues to be sure to fill out both of them. If that makes any sense.

I still haven’t decided on which site I will use. It’s pretty much between Yahoo and NFL.com now. Either way it will be totally free. And don’t forget, we’re not playing for nothing here. The winner gets a trophy. Admittedly a pretty cheap little trophy, but still, it’s a trophy!

So, I’ve been getting into some of the internet radio networks out there. My current favorite show is Annie and Burl Live on Blog Talk Radio.


Annie and Burl are a freaking riot. They actually broadcast TWO shows a week on Blog Talk Radio. One on Wednesday at 9:00 PM Central. The second show is on Saturdays at 9:00 PM Central. They have had some really great guests and do all kinds of crazy things like call random bars around the country and get a “cougar count.” These segments have produced some of the most hilarious moments ever on internet radio.

Another big part of Annie and Burls Show is Rockdog! Every week Rockdog brings the funny with Rockdog’s Clinic.


Last week he explained the basics of Porn Snobbery. Most of us didn’t even know that there were such people as porn snobs. Well, there are and Rockdog is clearly America’s preeminent porn snob. In fact, I think he should probably start up the American Association of Porn Snobs or something like that.

And that’s not all folks! Annie and Burl also have their hot, sultry weathergurl Kat. Kat totally rocks. She gives the weather and shares some pretty hilarious stories with us each week. Two words: Boob. Juice.

Speaking of Kat, in addition to her duties on Annie and Burl she entertains the masses with her own show on Blog Talk Radio!

Are you a fan of ABC’s One Life to Live? Do you follow it pretty closely, or are you a fan you doesn’t have the time or opportunity to follow it everyday? Well, here’s your chance to hang out with some like-minded folks.

Every Monday at 5:30 PM Central time is Llanview Lowdown on Blog Talk Radio.


Kat has several guest hosts and people who join them in the chat room as they review the previous week on One Life to Live. You can even call in and join in the discussion that way. Speaking of internet radio, you should also tune in to Clearly, You’re Retarded every Wednesday night at 8 PM Central with your hosts Avitable and Miss Britt. Each week they take on different topics and discuss their views on them and then open the phone lines for others to call in and give their two cents worth too.


It’s a fun time combined with some pretty interesting discussions. Give it a try. Their show is over on Talk Shoe. As with Blog Talk Radio, you don’t have to sign up to be able to listen, but you do have to sign up if you want to chat in the chat room.


In further pimping news I realize I haven’t updated my blog roll in a long time. I apologize to the people who I haven’t yet put on the blog roll. I am determined to rectify this situation very soon. I promise.
