rain, rain, go away...

i'm excited because on friday, this: turns to this:




i remember reading that book back in seventh grade, and loving it-- even though it was filled with tons of sex. i think i've kinda been waiting ever since then, for the movie to come out. i guess i've just always had a feeling that there would be a movie based on it. now that i think of it, i might still have ck's copy of the "the queen's fool" which is another story by the same author with me! i never finished reading it and i havent checked my boxes of books for a while, so i dont remember if i still have it or not. but other than that there really isnt anything that exciting going on. i've been really obsessed with watching rock of love 2 and flavor of love 3. i also forgot to mention the last time i blogged, that i finally got a used phone from my uncle, along with a new phone charger from the flea market last weekend! so now i have my phone back. i've been super crazy about dr. mario and tetris, which i've been playing nonstop on our old super nintendo :) but lately i've actually gotten so good, that i've just become sick of it. and there's this fun bowling game on my phone that i've just been c-c-c-c-crazy over! ahhh. speaking about bowling, last night i went bowling and lasertagging for marissa's 17th birthday! that was fun :)

oh, well the downside to all this goodness, however, is that i'm not keeping up with "new years resolutions." i havent been doing any of my homework. . well actually i have been doing homework. its just that... i'm still failing! gaah. i think im just a failure at math and science in general. so i guess i'll just have to live with it, because aside from those two subjects i'm goood.

there is supposed to be ANOTHER big storm on its way today/tonight/tomorrow :[] i'm not very excited about it. winds are supposed to be up in the 50s (as in miles per hour). this morning i went to tutor my kids and their assignment was to write about what they were going to do since they can't go play outside today. the teacher told them a story about how when she was little her mom didnt let her to go outside when or after it rained because (as tradition goes) when there is a rainbow outside, dragons are out and about (there was obviously a rainbow out that morning). hahaha, it was really cute. all the kids drew pictures of a dragon covering the sky as a rainbow. i wish i had had my camera with me to take pictures of all those drawings. those kids amaze me. they draw realllly good. they had supermans, spidermans, barbies, dinosaurs, and all sorts of things in their dragon pictures. if you give me a piece of paper today, all i can put down are a bunch of hearts scattered in one place. that's how far my imagination gets these days.
