Audrey Hepburn. She embodies the quintessence of refinement and innate chic. With her childish style, her ballerina silhouette, her natural elegance, her catlike eyes and her mischievous smile, she seduced more than a fashion designer.

However, this status of fashion muse was, at first, not expected. Indeed, her thin silhouette was the complete opposite of the beauty standards of her time. Nevertheless, she met Hubert de Givenchy who established her as his fashion muse. Moreover, he designed many of the iconic outfits of her movies. Ever since then, Audrey became a classic fashion icon and a symbol of femininity.

Designers dress their models with flower-shaped dresses, man’s white shirts, cropped skinny jeans, gingham motifs and ballet shoes. They find their inspiration in Audrey’s looks, so effortless and timeless.
Her classic beauty not only influenced the fashion of her time, but continues to inspire designers and fashion lovers today. Indeed, still in 2011 we can notice clearly that Audrey is, without the shade of a doubt, the ultimate muse!
