Approval for entry

Lady Gaga's new album Born This Way has been allowed into Lebanon after the Middle East state relented on a ban. There was an outcry from fans after The Sun revealed on Saturday the US singer had upset Lebanese authorities. Its intelligence agency the General Security Directorate seized a shipment of the album, ruling the track Judas was "offensive to Christians".

A ban on radio plays was also brought in. But the government gave in after GaGa fans in Lebanon protested the move was pointless as they could already stream the album on the internet. A statement said: "The CD has received approval for entry and distribution in Lebanon."
