My good friend and a great writer, AB from Apathy Lounge had a real scare over the weekend which resulted in emergency surgery. Thankfully she’s on the mend and getting better. But, if you could, take a minute out of your busy day to send some good thoughts and/or prayers her way. I’m sure they would be greatly appreciated.
Also, as Founder, President, CEO and Executive Editor of Cynical_Bastard I would like to personally extend an apology to Eliza Dushku for that “It’s not like she’s was getting ready for the Oscars” crack in yesterday’s post. I was in a dark, angry place when I wrote those hurtful words and was simply lashing out at poor Eliza.
I have also officially rescinded the first strike that I had given her for her failure to acknowledge my birthday on Twitter. I hope that she can find it in her heart to forgive me and we can become BFFs again. Well, she will be Celebrity BFF #4 after Alessandra, Miley and Ana Marie Cox. But, that’s still a pretty good place.
Just in case you don’t know who Eliza is…

Yesterday, somebody “flagged” that pic of Alessandra Torresani that I had posted. This is at least the third time that this has happened. And, each time it has happened, it has been a pic of a young (she’s 22), petite woman. Weird huh? Seriously people. If you don’t have anything better to do than to flag pics of attractive women that are posted on people’s blogs, then you really need to find something productive to do with your life.

I mentioned the other day that I got birthday shout-outs from Matt-Man, Micky, Desert Songbird, Vinny and Lu. I also got a happy birthday song from my friend Kim and a Rockband “Birthday” by the Beatles video from Annie & Burl.
And, there was one shout out that I left off of yesterday’s post that I wanted to share with you. That’s because I wanted to make sure I got her permission before I posted this.
Here is the spectacular birthday shout-out I got from the awesome Mandy on Twitter:
How freaking awesome is that? Now that’s a real friend right there. And, if you aren’t reading her blog, you should start doing so TODAY!

Okay, so thus ends all the birthday related posts for this year. I promise. I was going to say that you are probably getting tired of them, but I if you are, I’m sure Mandy’s cleavage made up for it.
Oh yeah, one last thing. Doc and I have an NCAA Men's Tournament pick 'em challenge set up on CBS Sports. It's free to enter. If you want to play along, let Doc know and he'll send you an invite.
