Twenty-ten is the first year of the new decade. Don't like that? Suck it. I don't fucking care. But, you can call it whatever you want.
The biggest thing I'm wondering about is when I'm putting the date on some important document, like say I'm acknowledging that I have received a new retraining order from Dakota Fanning, or signing a contract, can I go back to using two numbers to indicate the year? Can I put the date as 1/4/10 or do I still have to do the full year as in 1/4/2001? This is a far more important discussion than when the decade begins. I think I'm going to keep putting the full year down. I don't want to risk any trouble from someone with a room temperature IQ not knowing what year I meant.

Oh! Here are a couple of awards I had been intending to give out, but only posted a couple of times the last couple of weeks. Anyway ...
Mother of the Year goes to this chick...
And, Father of the Year goes to this dude on the far right...
Congrats you two!

As crazy as it sounds, I'm starting to get this feeling that Charlie Sheen isn't a good husband.

I tweeted exactly 7,000 times in 2009. That seems like a lot, but it's only a bit over 19 per day. And if you consider that I don't tweet between midnight and 8 am very much at all, it doesn't make it that much more impressive. So clearly one of my new years resolutions is to tweet more.
I've also made a resolution to Facebook more.
And my other resolution is to finally join Mafia Wars and Farmville and all those other games*
Oh yeah, my other resolution is to become an ice cream coned shared by Blake Lively and Leighton Meester...
I think I have a chance.

Oh yeah, the other thing I was going to post before the end of the year was my list of my favorite TV shows of the 2000's. So I'll do it now.
House Hunters
Everyday Italian with Giada De Laurentiis
Top Gear
Myth Busters
Ice Road Truckers
The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson
Weeds
Scrubs
NCIS
Pushing Daisies
Dexter
King of the Hill
Family Guy
Caliente
Modern Family
Sons of Anarchy
The West Wing
Gilmore Girls
Mad Men
The Shield
You're probably wondering where The Sopranos and The Wire are. Well, I didn't have HBO when they were on, so I haven't seen them. So they don't go on the list.
Also, I haven't necessarily seen every episode of every show. And some of them haven't been awesome all the way through their run. But at some point during the decade, I loved these shows.

I'm not a big fan of horror movies, but I can watch one right before bedtime and not have any problems. Hoarders? Not so much.

Finally, my prediction for the upcoming decade is that "According to Jim" will finally be recognized for the original comedic genius that it was.
Or not.
* I have no intention of fulfilling this resolution.
